This is indeed a fine piece. Sinn do an excellent job with their movements: my U50 gains fractionally over 1 second a day, specifically, 15 seconds from 1st March to 13th March this year. Sinn CEO Herr Schmitt is an engineer, and it's clear to me that Sinn focuses on build quality rather than style gimmicks. I like this watch: it's well made, the zone time function is particularly useful for me, living on the south coast of England (close to ferry ports for France) and the price means that you don't have worry too much when wearing it. This watch could be a loyal companion for life... 😀
Another great video! Love Sinn (Zeen auf Deutsch). I have Sinn’d and I Sinn’d again. Beasts! Well build and tough as coffin nails! Thank you for review a Sinn watch, not many do! Cheers,
The difference in lume is because the 104 uses C3 superluminova and the 105 uses C1, that’s why the 104’s lume is way better while the 105 looks more pure white. I believe they use C1 on most of their watches due to it’s more pure white appearance in daylight vs the 104’s slightly greenish look, more of an aesthetic leaning towards high contrast in daytime use. You can really see it if you look at a white dial 104 next to a white dial 105.
I keep coming back to your review of this little guy. Can you give me an update on how the lume is? Does it at least last all through the night? I have a Damasko DS-30, with non-impressive lume, so I am wondering how this would compare to something like that.
Got mine from the factory showroom in Frankfurt recently as well. 100% agree that the bezel action leaves a bit to be desired. However, I can forgive it due to the timeless styling and utility of the complication and bezel.
Thanks for the review, Marc. I love it when we can see how the watch looks on your wrist. Maybe I missed it, but would have valued knowing your wrist size? I have a 6.25 inch wrist and trying to determine if this 41 mm case is too big. Thanks again for an in-depth review. Love Sinn!
This is a rumor that floats around every now and then but it isn’t true, I have 2 Sinns (104 and 857) and the screws only hold the bezel under the retaining lip in the case. The screws come screwed all the way in from the factory.
I think the thing I am disappointed most by this watch... is that you are basically the only person doing a proper review of it! LOL. (great job), but seriously, this watch seems to be lacking a lot of support somehow. I mean, the U50.. my god, its coverage like you would not believe. The 104, the same thing. But, for some reason this 105 just seems to have a negative energy around it. I cant understand why. For example.. I search "Sinn 105 different straps, nato etc) thinking I will be able to find someone somewhere who has taken the time to post up some pics, a forum post, a review anything beyond the basic un-box / stock setup and its just not out there. THIS is what scares me to even think about buying it, lol. But, I love that you did take the time to make this video. I just wish there was more content and momentum out there for this unique watch.
Marc.I'm recommending you to look up at a Eterna Kontiki(on bracelet) watch,i own 2 and i can say that from the watch till the clasp the finish it can match a Rolex.
Any updates on this watch? I cant decided between white and black dial myself. Been at it for a few weeks. I live Florida so I'm thinking white as we wearing light colors is pretty standard out here.
Thanks for the vid. Any update on the lume experience? I’m not overly thrilled with how it lasts on my UX. But the EZM 1.1 s is great on the lume. So would be interested to see how this model shapes up. Thanks again.
I own the ST 104 white dial. It is subjective but I much prefer the 104 to the 105. It is not my daily but a holiday watch so I alwags know what day it is.
Horses for courses. I like them both but the 3 o’clock day/date on the 104 looks like any one of a million other watches. That being said, I love my blue dial, the hands and the LUME !
Sinn does not regulate any of their watches (just a FYI). So, you maybe just got lucky, lol. Pretty much every other video on the 104, they all run almost +10 a day. (I have seen them all too , lol). But, I have heard the 105 is a little better and some have said +2 a day. But, this is also an updated movement from the 104, so this maybe why. regardless, Sinn is not regulating them tho.
Meantime he’s had a watch with a Sellita movement and a bunch of ETAs. At any rate, you enjoy what you have and I’ll do the same. I’ll probably wear the Sinn more than my Panda.
Hey marc, do you still talk with Clive? I'd like to speak with him about something if you can pass along the message. I'll send me email to him if you can connect us. Thanks.
Got mine yesterday directly from Sinn in Frankfurt. Best service in the showroom. 👍🏻
That ain’t solid gold rotor, but who cares! I love Sinn. Glad to see you talk about other brands. I love that matte bezel

Great review, Mark, thank you for reviewing non-Rolex!
Rolex has been done to death
I enjoyed watching this video while wearing my Sinn U50-T Tegimented!

Love the Mies Van der rohe reference.... Showing your Chicago roots. Rocking a Sinn 203 Ti AR , same case as the 105. Great watch
Just got my 103 Klassik 12🤩love it😍

Sinn is a great brand
I love my Sinn 104. I get more comments on it from watch nerds than for my Rolex 16600 😄
Lol, I'm a dog trainer too, no joke.
I have a U1 and the Lume is so weak it’s almost useless. But the watch is a tank. It makes the U1 go from superior to very good.
does the bracelet taper? can't quite tell from the vid!
sinn actually offers the 104 with a matte finish now

can you make us a full current collection video? would be great to see al your watches. Cheapers and expensive ones!
I believe you can tighten the bezel by tightening the screws in the captive bezel. Great review, have been considering this one

I really enjoy Sinn

Did you really not mention the L2L on this?

Hi Marc, great job as usual. Which would you say is the better watch, seamaster 300m or GS SBGA229? Thanks
Great brand, I’d like to get one at some point, maybe the EZM13 without Arabic numerals.
I own the ST 104 white dial. It is subjective but I much prefer the 104 to the 105. It is not my daily but a holiday watch so I alwags know what day it is.
Do you have the 105 UTC version then?Because my 104 and my 105 both have the day of the week.
@@marcgoldbergdogtrainer nice watch and great review but I prefer the horizontal day/date layout on the 104.
Horses for courses. I like them both but the 3 o’clock day/date on the 104 looks like any one of a million other watches. That being said, I love my blue dial, the hands and the LUME !
Too bad about the lume, wtf Sinn??!
Where did you purchase it from? I hear there's only one place in North America to get Sinn. Been eyeing this piece for a long time!
Watchbuysdotcom
@@marcgoldbergdogtrainer Great customer service, I've always been satisfied with them.
They were great to deal with
The Glashutte SEAQ still getting wrist time?
Marc, I'm thinking of buying the SeaQ.
I don't think you've done a review.
Please do!
You can buy mine marcgoldberg8@gmail.com
a real tool watch
It sure is that. Nicely executed as well.

As ayrchie would say. Absolute dog @hit not for me.
