After months of creating all the animation and rigs for this with majority of the 2D Art, i was so happy to release this 😭 My goal with this is to make the best fan dr execution ever. I truly hope you all are traumatised and like it too 😊 Big shoutout to my goat undreamedpanic for setting up the 3D stage of this execution and being a great friend through it all.❤
Recently I remembered Diana had a line where she offered to lend a hand out to Wolfgang when he was crazed and violent, she tries to do that with Eva and how Eva literally does reach out a hand to Cara in a desperate act to escape, which you could read as her metaphorically losing her chance to survive because like all her life, it only got worse because she rejected anyone who wanted to grow closer to her. My full applause to the writing team
I love how unlike most DR executions, the music here make you feel the desperation and panic of the executee , there is no jamming out to the music this time, cause your meant to remember this is a human being sent to slaughter. I love it
It's Peak™️ Like, while executions from both the OG games and this one HAVE left their impact on me, this one is actively gut-wrenching from the start and only gets "WORSE" the further the music swells. I DO love them for keeping that winding-up part of the execution theme at 2:00 , crazy work 👌🏿
Real, when the music did that creepy noise at the end, it reminded me that eva was actually getting thrown into a fire and dying by it if that makes sense
when you lookback at it Eva collects a lot of items in her murder strategy, look how its the same with her animal motifs a crow where they often knack random things aswell
this also probably wasnt intentionally, but crows in real life have a mutualistic relationship with wolves even though wolfgang's animal motif is a sheep(referring to a sacrificial lamb and wolf in sheeps clothing), its very ironic that someone with so much crow motifs ended up killing someone named WOLFgang, named after the only wild animal that could get along with it
The fact that Damon cried shows how truly he actually cared for Eva, or at least shows the audience that his tough guy exterior to match with him being the “antagonist” to the rest of the cast shows how truly vulnerable Damon really is. Damon is probably never going to be trusting anyone, since the person HE trusted lied to him, and tried to put the blame on him after Diana wasn’t an option. Poor Damon.
What i don't see too many people talking about is Damon. He's crying, and you can see in his expression that he is absolutely traumatised. ik im not good at explaining my thoughts as other ppl are, but I feel like this will be the turning point for Damon's character. Though he solved the murder, it's clear that after seeing the execution it's brought him no joy, just pain. Him crying whilst still having an overall numbed expression says it all. He's frozen, but his mind is in hyper drive. He just saw someone get brutally executed in front of him, and who knows? maybe he feels like it's his fault. And most of all, everyone in the castle will be mourning Wolfgang, but Damon will be the only one mourning Eva despite the fact that she was the only one he trusted, and she lied to him. I don't know what they are going to do with Damon after this, but I am HYPED
I'm so glad he's actually expressing trauma in tears unlike Hajime who is similar to him and Makoto and they both only have this 😰 dead ahh expression. (Excluding Shuichi because he is generally a sad boy)
I love how this whole execution is a metaphor for Eva's life. All this time she tried her hardest to not be known as a mathlete [survive] even if it was easier to give in to her talent [Fall into the fire], yet she kept on fighting and fighting and when she finally thought she won her efforts were for nothing anyway and she still ended up being known only as a mathlete. Brilliant Execution.
"Plus, what of the sheep who still try? The sheep who realize their fate, but continue to challenge it all the same? That they can be so determined to prove their worth when humans have all but deemed them microwaveable meals..."
And you know, Eva is Eve so she’s literally trying to climb the stairs to “heaven” but inevitably fall down to hell for her sins of being the first blackened.
I still love the irony of Eva being the one defying Wolfgang and his hope speeches, saying that ultimates are no different from regular humans and are absolutely capable of being swayed by motives, setting her up to be the voice of reason. Only to have *her* be the first culprit because she caved to her insecurities. Truly an average motive for someone who wanted to be seen as special. Brilliant.
Now this is the perfect example of how to stop spoiling people from videos, the thumbnail, the title, and the intro. The joy of watching the game was taken away from me when some unintelligent creature uploaded a video with the killer on the thumbnail
That’s so lame! I was lucky enough to avoid being spoiled, but that’s literally only because I replayed the prologue *and* played the entirety of chapter 1 in a single night, which should *NOT* be something people have to do just to enjoy the game without having to worry about spoilers. Unfortunately, the way people on the internet carelessly handle spoilers for newly-released media pressures people into having to either binge an entire show/game as soon as it comes out, or avoid social media altogether until they are finished watching/playing. Neither of those situations are ideal nor feasible for most people, and this would be a complete non-issue if people were just more considerate of others when posting about newly-released media online.
So interesting, the person who let her down, let her fall to her death was the Utimate Teacher's Aide. Another tragic point on how the people around her school life did fail her
I also feel like she had something to do with Wolfgang as well ,maybe she was a dummy replica of his mom? She could have been the ultimate teacher's aide and then chosen to pursue a career in law 🤔
Yup. Didn't catch up with much things at first, but i genuinely gasped when I saw Cara reaching for her hand. Just the cherry on top for the ultimate cruel joke. No teacher's aide for you, Eva.
Writing the music for this execution was one of the most exciting (and also emotionally challenging) projects I've gotten to do - love this team and love this game!
I think the music during this execution really embodies the way this game feels. It also makes the execution feel more tragic, which is how it should feel imo
(Victim spoilers) I only realized just now… You know how Wolfgang’s podium is directly facing Tozu and his back is directly in front of the elevator? Doesn’t that mean *his* podium is the one Eva clung onto? The one she clung onto to save her own life for MURDERING Wolfgang? Way to kick a dead man while he’s down, Eva.
0:48, it’s truly chilling to see the culprit struggling, like REALLY struggling not to be taken to their execution. Like this isn’t in a chibi form like in the og games (no spoilers for those who haven’t played). Like we are actually seeing the desperation and fear stretch out on their faces as they just prolong their demise….
I feel like no body mentioned this but the thing I love about this is that’s it’s all realistically scary. The music, the damn music. It really helps the tone of this whole execution, unlike most of drs execution music. (don’t get me wrong there still good in their own right.) Just applause for the whole damm thing.
Danganrompa executions themes have a very twisted feel to them. It’s like the music revels in the blacken’s fate which goes in theme with Despair and all.
Yeah. I really like this direction. With Masufi Takada's compositions, you get the sense of a very intentional mockery being made out of the student's executions. It's like the music is from the mastermind or Monokuma's perspective. Eden's Garden's ost feels more like it's from the spotless's perspective. You feel their despair and fear through the intensity of the music as it builds and builds. You feel it less as a show and more as reality.
The execution reminds me of Kirumi’s Execution (“Strand of Agony” from Danganronpa v3: Killing Harmony) due to the gimmick of giving the character a chance to escape, but making them struggle and endure as much pain as they can until they arrive at the end where they fall into a petty trick after their desperation to survive and die
Did you mean “by” or did you actually meant to type “but”? Cuz I’m pretty sure Kirumi also endured sm pain just to escape but then falls for a trick into thinking she could actually escape
This whole chapter 1 trial feels like every chapter 2 trial of danganronpa, the freakout blackened from every chapter 3, the twist feels like chapter 2 V3. It’s so good i want to see more but we have to wait
@helloeveryone0 Kirumi became my fav character after I put research into her Backstory and every time I see an edit with her execution I immediately go "NOPE" and scroll away as fast as possible
This execution actually does an incredible job of reminding people that these are TEENAGERS. Not full fledged adults: TEENAGERS, forced to kill each other to survive. Eva’s fear was genuinely palpable, the sprite of her getting dragged back into the execution as tears stream from her eyes hit me like a freight train. And everyone else’s reactions! DAMON FUCKING CRYING?! 10/10 execution, am both scared and excited to see what comes next
Technically all the characters are 18 and up, except for Toshiko (14) and Diana (17), but I do agree that it does a great job at showing how terrifying this concept truly is
All the other Ultimates' seeing Eva running on an escalator away from a furnace (representing her desire to show other people that she's far more than just The Ultimate Mathlete) is bad enough, but imagine all their shock and horror as she fell limb first onto those sharp math utensils! Even Damon Maitsu was left crying after Eva fell into the furnace, as all her efforts, both in the Killing Game and for her desires, were for naught.
I actually felt physically sick watching this. You can really feel her desperate struggle to survive to the very end. I’m so impressed with how incredible this was and it makes me excited (but also scared) of the executions to come.
The choking while being dragged to the execution actually is very spooky, like imagine how out of breath Eva was when the execution JUST started, then she has to do the most to survive while basically tryna breathe, honestly I'd just die 😭
I feel so much sympathy for Eva, her execution left a mark that will never fade. I think that if I ever was in a killing game, I would probably act just like she did 😭
@@LavaCreeperPeopleYou say that but eventually you wouldn’t be able to control yourself mentally or physically, being a trapped in place with no escape and forced to kill people will most definitely take a toll on you
@@shadewful. Not everyone is so weak and manipulative. Look at Diana, She could have died, with a person attacking her and She could could not shot Wolf with the taser. For some of us is more powerful the thought of not hurtung innocent people than our own needs. Wich for a character like Diana, I think it says a lot than even at her possible last moments, She knew who She was and She could not hurt a friend. I think those people have the purest heart
Eva Tsunaka's Execution Analysis by ReynTheWorld We know she introduced herself as the ultimate liar and it's even crossed out in the text of her execution name with her real talent being below it in bloody text, because it was revealed in the chemistry room that she actually lied about her actual talent It's also a nice detail that as the ultimate mathlete the things she's being hit by in her way of escaping are tools used in math, it symbolises how she can't escape from that talent and how it'll keep coming back to her and making it worse no matter how hard she runs away from it and tries to avoid it The fire in the execution can represent two things, the simple one being the phrase "liar liar pants on fire" because she "was the ultimate liar" or well lied about that and the other one being how Eve ate the apple after being tempted to sin and was banished to hell, like how Eva took Tozu's offer and started the killing game and ending up in a deep pit of flames
She was such a good killer. The amount of planning in this case is incredible. As a player, I was suspicious of Eva from the start. But being a participant finding out that she is the actual culprit would’ve been almost impossible. And if Diana didn’t escape, then Eva would likely have won.
The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.
Maybe that was the point? Surprise people with the unexpected twist to keep them hooked? Like how V3 did with its 1st chapter Edit: speaking of the main games there’s usually a pattern involving the 1st victims/killers 1st game: the “supporting” character is the 1st victim 2nd game: the “leader” of the group is the 1st victim 3rd game: the “protagonist” is the 1st “killer” For Eden’s gardens case have the “Supporting” character kill the “Antagonist” 2 twists that people expect to happen in chapter 5
@@Shuichinista Honestly? All characters have potential, they are written that way so you miss them when they are gone, so you ask yourself the "what if?" situations. I guarantee you, you guys will probably say the same thing when the next chapter drops. It's just well made writing!
incorrect Eva was prominent in the promotional material for P:EG, which had a 50/50 likelyhood of her being important or...just like every actual Danganronpa game's promo material, meant she would die in Ch1, and I took the second route, I didn't decide on if she would die a victim or a killer until the prologue came out Wolfgang was an obvious first victim as soon as the prologue released, he had death flags all over him and I thought a lot of people were on the same mindset, apparently not
Fully convinced that Tozu let Mara build an execution fit for an Ultimate Athlete but he saw the mistake at the last second and Mara was like "fuck it let's just throw in math stuff" LOL
not sure if anyone else noticed this, but when Eva starts crying, you can see her mascara run. i think this either means her mascara is somehow super good and can stay on for five days or more, or she did her makeup with Diana's products, an idea i find to be extremely sad bcs that would mean Diana liked Eva enough to allow her to even use her makeup (or maybe Diana did her makeup, which is would be even more depressing)
Brutal and almost hard to watch just because i loved eva. that being said, i cannot praise the artists and animators enough. really impressive work. i think eden’s garden is by far the best ‘replica’ of danganronpa so far
As mind blowing this execution was with the gorgeous animation and music, I was shocked to see the dummy of Cara Koshkinen in the scene even during the first time watching the playthrough. But also, there wasn’t any much theater sounds in the beginning of the execution in the playthrough so I’m glad that issue was resolved here.
I had a small theory that Cara might be the daughter of Tozu and she had actually died. So he might add her in more executions to avenge her or mourn her.
I'm still not over the slow head turn when the chain came out. That's the second I knew this animation would be the highest quality thing ever made in a fangan.
As cool as the execution was, I really love how you implemented the chain scene. Since in the main games, it's focused on how violent or tragic it is as they're being dragged away, I love Eva's struggle as it really shows her desperation to fight off her punishment.
I got spoiled for this execution and the culprit because people on the internet don't understand the concept of using a frame that excludes the spoilers Yet, the culprit was still relatively hard to guess thanks to the wonderful writing, and the grotesque execution was more than worth seeing in the no commentary playthrough Bravo, P:EG. This game is gonna be sick
I remember playing this and being so shocked at both the death and the killer. Makes me excited for the future cause you can’t really predict who you think will be the killer!!
Indeed it’s kinda sheep shocking for a danganropa fan because on some level you could tell which characters where likely to die based on context clues or symbolism and while that is here too it’s a lot more subtle
The execution litterally felt like one last punch to Eva's insecurities of being a mathlete: It's misunderstanding her talent (mATHLETE) to make more fun of her talent AND force her to do what mathletes are often bad at, cardio. On top of that, lazily throwing all kinds of protactors and other math stuff only made more fun of her. Truly an exquisite punishment.
I have a theory that she isn't dead tho. She WAS the ultimate liar after all and we didn't see her body die like I suspected so maybe she could be the secret mastermind!
@@perrydezeeuw96 That actually sounds likely but at the same time it seems too easy to guess given her character and how she lied about her talent and etc. Also even if she didn’t fall into the fire there’s little to no possibility of her surviving the other injuries she got during the execution.
Small detail, but I really like the animation at 0:33 onwards when the chain is coming for Eva - the way she turns her head slightly was very well done.
Let's be fr when we saw Wolfgang die we'd be like "Oh it couldn't be eva cause that's to obvious that she did!" But here we are..And the fact she had a alibi but still was found guilty is actually really smart for a true "mathlete." And for chapter 2 i feel like since i readed someone's comment saying that Damon had trusted eva. I feel like the same will go for kai and seeing another's person comment that damon will trust someone but be a victim that's why i put Kai Monteago there because 1.His animals is a butterfly right on his shirt, 2. If you lost rock paper scissors with jean you'd have to be dorm roommates with kai, and plus since damon feel's pretty much i suppose comfortable being comfortable with kai and probably how kai and damon has pretty much intelligence such as how eva and Damon we're on the same level of intelligence kai would definitely be a victim.
I felt really empty after this execution, I always hung out with Eva during free time, considering Damon and Eva were the "outcasts" of the group and just wanted them to be friends. Discovering she was the culprit made my heart sink, knowing full well that her fate was sealed. I've never actually played a Danganronpa game and always saw playthroughs and what not, so I never got attached to the characters, but this... was different, and I'm all for it.
It's interesting to me how this execution strengthened my empathy for her. First of all, this execution somehow looks almost like my own visualisation of attending the public exam! At that time I described in my diary that we (students) are being sent to a furnace on a conveyor, and Eva is sort of... a student who's sent to many exams and competitions. The second is I feel like this is the first time Eva has fought for her life so much, her saying "I deserve to live, I am going to live" even though she might not actually believe in it after being bullied, being outcasted, being unseen for so long... May be just my projection? I don't know, but I empathise with her.
what i love most abt the song is how it truly conveys how the emotion of desperation, bc that’s genuinely what eva felt during her execution, desperation and fear
This execution beats every other official or fan game by a mile. The smooth animations, the music, and especially the theme are all perfectly gruesome.
One interesting detail that stood up for me was the dummy itself. Eva was only relying on herself due to her past trauma and talent, not even Damon or Diana was trusted from her perspective, but when she grabbed the dummy hand she actually accepted help for the first time BUT that didn't turn out well with a dummy. Anyways RIP best girl Eva
Considering that in P:EG, any execution has to do with a biblical verse, like Eva's (Isaiah 48:10), it would be incredible an execution based on Exodus 7:20 in which the guilty party should be placed in a pit of blood full of piranhas, to be like an easter egg for Ryoma's death.
Just like Leon Kuwata, my favorite character in this game ends up as the first blackened; the pain is real. I'm interested to see how Eva's death or memory will continue to affect Damon as the story goes on. As the main protagonist of a Danganronpa-esque story, you don't just cry at somebody's execution and it not being an important factor towards your development later on.
I love how this execution portrays more desperation from the culprit to survive. For example the way she grabbed onto one of the podiums and how she didn’t give up even when she was impaled. Another example is the music, it really adds to the desperation and puts you on the edge of your seat during the entire thing. This is a great fangame!! I’m so excited to see more!
There is something so tragic in a death with desperation to live. In alot of DR executions, the killers more or less expected the fate that lied infront of them. Those who tried to fight back (with the exemption of kirumi) were restrained almost immediately. Eva's declaration (consecutively also her last words) on wanting to live and deserving to live became incredibly sad when coinsiding with the fact she had to die. Her struggle to survival was packed in a road of her worst tormenters and sharp bolts stabbing through her, yet in the end the help she desperately grabbed onto became her demise. RIP Eva, you were one of my faves 💔
It feels comforting to see Damon cry, it's what he gets for being arrogant and smug like. I hope he treats the others more carefully, because solving the case itself killed someone. And it killed the one he thought who was trustworthy.
Fantastic animation ✅ Clever concept ✅ Music is intense, not goofy like in DR ✅ Depressing ✅ Traumatic ✅ Eva´s screams of terror ✅ Damon showing human emotions for the 1st time in his life ✅ Absolute Cinema ✅🧐🤌 Someone call the firefighters, because this execution was fire 🔥🔥🔥(Eva would agree)
eva lowkey imitates alot of danganronpa characters tsumugi shirogane - eva hit wolfgang from behind with something (just like tsumugi did with rantaro) peko pekoyama - same as tsumugi lol but also including the notes she gave hyoko and mahiru (eva did the same by giving notes to wolfgang and diana) celestia ludenberg - fire related execution kyoko kirigiri - evas personality isnt much like kyoko lmao she just wanted to be edgy by calling herself ultimate liar and acting the way she acted so idk 🤷 sayaka maizono - *tries acting cute to protagonist* "i trust you!! >_< teehee owo" *betrays the protagonist* idk if theres more but these are just the ones i noticed 😼
I actually felt so bad for Eva... I mostly never feel bad in the executions, because the killers are usually evil or murdered selfishly BUT EVA?! Even though she was forced by Tozu to kill, I still feel like she'd kill because of her fear and anxiety (which is why she targeted Wolfgang) and I actually felt so bad, girl didn't deserve it...
I actually didn’t really care about her when first watching the gameplay, but the entire reveal and motive that actually made you feel empathy for her last minute made this execution way more depressing
I love everything about this, the music makes you feel the fear, the facial expressions on Eva are so well animated, and just overall what a brutal execution. It was hard for me to watch it, and you can really feel Eva’s desperation to survive here. The detail of Damon crying was really cool as well, both Eva’s expressions and even Damon crying at the end really remind you that most of these people are teenagers or at least quite young if not teens anymore. It also adds a slight bit to Damon I think lol (mostly that yeah hes a jerk with a massive ego but he’s not totally heartless either, although I honestly think anyone would react that way regardless of personality so idk maybe I’m pointing out unnecessary character details here lmao but I just really love this game and every character in it :D) I’m so excited to see the future work on this game!
2:11 idk WHY no one mentioned this, but this is my favorite part on the execution. No, It’s not about the gore or wtv. It’s how well the agony and pain is drawn in this scene, normally in danganronpa we don’t see that it that much, exceeept some executions. But HELL YEAH, this part was amazing, how the music also accompanied the anxiety of the scene. I’m impressed. The way we get a close up to her eyes and they are so red… you guys did an EXCELLENT job with this and I’m willing to wait 2 more years for the next chapter to be done. I’m so excited!! Even though the execution doesn’t do something to me as idk, scare me ig, a lot of people did so I’m absolutely thrilled.
If this execution is also related to the Bible, then the 2nd execution should be about Noah’s ark then. Theory asides, the director solely nailed this one.
@@dystalit depends on where this game is going since the team only released chapter 1. But if it goes just like Noah’s story, I would suspect that Jean would somehow save everyone from the blackened like Noah saving his family and the animals from the flood meant to destroy the sinners.
@@maykonbrasileiro761 hope he does i actually ripped my hair out in the class trial debating with her im so done with her i still have nightmares where her voice lines just play on loop and she ridicules me for being stupid i get a physical reaction whenever I hear her voice
fucking amazing and breathtaking, i felt her desparation and her wanting to live. with the actual DR games, you can see how the characters kinda accepts their fate but here you can see how much she wants to live and its horrifying and makes you realize that this is literally *a person getting killed*. her grabbing on to the podium desparetely, her climbing through the pain and even grabbing on and receiving someone's help for the first time. it's incredible yet terrifying and it sets an amazing tone for the rest of the game. amazing job team!
1:23 I could be very wrong but on the side. Couldn’t she escape from getting up to the side? Or would Tozu attempt to stop her ? Also speaking of which. I notice for this execution. The mastermind or well host (Tozu) wasn’t involve in, while Monokuma would always. Could this hint that Tozu is also sorta afraid of death since he’s human?
i dont think she couldve predicted the conveyor belt would turn into stairs and stufff...and if she went to the side how would she get to the exit without returning to the conveyor belt once again... for tozu idk how he would be involved in this execution, we'll see in the next one. i think he's just goofy
This execution was absolutely brutal. I love how you didn’t go for the typical Danganronpa music by making it “upbeat”, you made it swell with emotion and dread. This project may be inspired by Danganronpa, but oh my God it really does stand on its own. This execution really reminds you what’s on the line. Everyone at some point or another is going to be a lamb to the slaughter. Eva put this upon herself by starting the game the way she did. And Damon crying by the end of her execution was just the cherry on top. Because he got no satisfaction for the ending of this trial, he alongside all the others just witnessed someone who was desperate enough to escape by murder die from an execution. Not to mention after the mock trial, this was the one person he could actually trust… so in a way, Eva ended any sort of possibility of Damon actually trying to open up to anyone else. Even if he does open up to someone else, he’s going to be cautious. This story and the way it does the deaths of the characters reminds us that this is a DEATH GAME. No amount of humor is going to tear us away from that reality, not even the daily life. This is something I have always wanted from Danganronpa, but it never committed to and I just love it. Project: Eden’s Garden has always been one of if not the most grounded and I expect it to have more of that as it goes on. I have a feeling this might go down as one of the projects to date.
There’s a detail about the execution I don’t think anyone noticed. (SPOILERS BELOW) When the execution title is pulled up, you can see that “Liar” is engraved into the plaque with marker being used to cross it out and replace it with “Mathlete”, indicating that Tozu initially based the execution construction plans on the fake talent Eva came up with in the Prologue and made some changes to said construction plans after Wenona outed Eva’s real talent (the math tools being thrown at Eva). The furnace representing Eva’s real talent was likely a coincidence, as it initially represented the phrase “liar, liar, pants on fire”. Had Eva’s real talent not been revealed before she was executed, her falling into the furnace would’ve represented her being consumed by all the lies she supposedly told her entire life.
so...tozu pre-made everyone's executions already?? or did he magically guess eva would be the first blackened even before the first chapter...i think it's more likely he did that on purpose to make fun of her- but we'll never know i didnt even notice the plaque
@@sususoojinnWell he targeted the traitor perk to be her but it still doesn’t make sense because obviously tozu would know that the teens would find out she’s a mathlete because of the watches
Fun fact, if you were in the Splatoon 3 hall on the final day of Riptide 2024, your cheering is in the opening animation. I recorded everyone cheering and threw it into that intro.
What makes this so much worse are the little animations of her turning around, they make the execution so much more lively and gruesome then the Danganrompa executions.
SPOILERS!! The theming on this chapter and trial are amazing. This game is obviously inspired by concepts in the Bible seeing as the name is Eden's Garden (Garden of Eden). Eva is clearly meant to parallel Eve from the Bible based on their names. In the book, Eve commits the original sin by eating the forbidden fruit; furthermore, she only did this after a serpent convinced her to do it despite the "life or death" consequencess God warned her about. In Eden's Garden, Eva commits the first murder after "taking the bait" from Tozy and being forced to kill as a consequence. He warned them that it was a matter of "life or death," yet, with the curiosity from Damon (representing the serpent as he has a snake on his tie) she is eventually convinced to take the risk and solve Tozu's riddle. Furthermore, just like how sinners in the Bible are condemned down to hell, Eva's execution has her attempting to go up towards the exit (Heaven) and eventually falling down into the furnace (a common depiction of hell). Major props to the writers for coming up with this story. It's written extremely well and takes great attention to detail!
I was expecting Mara to have more of a presence during the executions. She is the enforcer of punishments after all, aside from the quick second of her chibi chasing Eva's she really has no presence

when you lookback at it Eva collects a lot of items in her murder strategy, look how its the same with her animal motifs a crow where they often knack random things aswell
this also probably wasnt intentionally, but crows in real life have a mutualistic relationship with wolves
even though wolfgang's animal motif is a sheep(referring to a sacrificial lamb and wolf in sheeps clothing), its very ironic that someone with so much crow motifs ended up killing someone named WOLFgang, named after the only wild animal that could get along with it

Poor Damon.
The next person he trusts is gonna die in ch 5

Which is partially what got Eva in the mess that ended her life.
Everyone will morn Wolfgang.
Only Damon will really morn Eva.
“I hear a lot of the budget went into this!”
Seeing the amount of high-quality school supplies when counting inflation is proof that statement is correct.
And she died the first time she trusted her life to "someone" (Cara's doll)
She's also simultaneously being pelted by reminders of her talent (the pencils and protractors)
@@Terlinilia Bro that's insane😭I thought Tozu was referring to Wolfgang there for some reason...
True, the title even might lead you to believe the culprit is Ingrid or something lol
so we all see that video thumbnail??? 😭😭
I swear when the thumbnail spoils the game its the worst
Another tragic point on how the people around her school life did fail her
Haven't seen many mention that holy ..
I also feel like she had something to do with Wolfgang as well ,maybe she was a dummy replica of his mom? She could have been the ultimate teacher's aide and then chosen to pursue a career in law 🤔
Wait, is that why Kara was used in- OOOOOH. That explains so much.
THE MUSIC IS SO UNIQUE AND PERFECT FOR A REALISTIC EXECUTION.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE MUSIC!!!!!

I only realized just now…
You know how Wolfgang’s podium is directly facing Tozu and his back is directly in front of the elevator?
Doesn’t that mean *his* podium is the one Eva clung onto? The one she clung onto to save her own life for MURDERING Wolfgang?
Way to kick a dead man while he’s down, Eva.
Very interesting detail if true, though I doubt she would care who's podium to grab in the moment of getting murdered
You’re actually so smart for this??? Oh my god
I think this is a way of saying “And maybe Eva simply couldn’t rise to [Wolfgang’s] challenge” as said by Damon during the trial.

I feel like no body mentioned this but the thing I love about this is that’s it’s all realistically scary. The music, the damn music. It really helps the tone of this whole execution, unlike most of drs execution music. (don’t get me wrong there still good in their own right.) Just applause for the whole damm thing.
like the dr music sounds like its supposed to be funny and not serious, this one REALLY PUTS YOU in the scene.
Danganrompa executions themes have a very twisted feel to them. It’s like the music revels in the blacken’s fate which goes in theme with Despair and all.
Yeah it’s absolutely fantastic! It kind of makes you feel the same hope and despair of this entire execution.
As much as I love the original Danganronpa music, something about this just feels so much more fitting. Like- it’s scary how fitting it is.
Cuz I’m pretty sure Kirumi also endured sm pain just to escape but then falls for a trick into thinking she could actually escape
i meant “by” but my big fingers messed my keyboard typing 🧍♂️

Eva Tsunaka's Execution Analysis by ReynTheWorld
We know she introduced herself as the ultimate liar and it's even crossed out in the text of her execution name with her real talent being below it in bloody text, because it was revealed in the chemistry room that she actually lied about her actual talent
It's also a nice detail that as the ultimate mathlete the things she's being hit by in her way of escaping are tools used in math, it symbolises how she can't escape from that talent and how it'll keep coming back to her and making it worse no matter how hard she runs away from it and tries to avoid it
The fire in the execution can represent two things, the simple one being the phrase "liar liar pants on fire" because she "was the ultimate liar" or well lied about that and the other one being how Eve ate the apple after being tempted to sin and was banished to hell, like how Eva took Tozu's offer and started the killing game and ending up in a deep pit of flames
She was such a good killer. The amount of planning in this case is incredible. As a player, I was suspicious of Eva from the start. But being a participant finding out that she is the actual culprit would’ve been almost impossible. And if Diana didn’t escape, then Eva would likely have won.

I think a lot of people predicted Eva killing Wolfgang, but not in THIS chapter... I thought it was gonna happen in chapter 5-
Maybe that was the point?
Surprise people with the unexpected twist to keep them hooked? Like how V3 did with its 1st chapter
Edit: speaking of the main games there’s usually a pattern involving the 1st victims/killers
1st game: the “supporting” character is the 1st victim
2nd game: the “leader” of the group is the 1st victim
3rd game: the “protagonist” is the 1st “killer”
For Eden’s gardens case have the “Supporting” character kill the “Antagonist” 2 twists that people expect to happen in chapter 5

Eva was prominent in the promotional material for P:EG, which had a 50/50 likelyhood of her being important or...just like every actual Danganronpa game's promo material, meant she would die in Ch1, and I took the second route, I didn't decide on if she would die a victim or a killer until the prologue came out
Wolfgang was an obvious first victim as soon as the prologue released, he had death flags all over him and I thought a lot of people were on the same mindset, apparently not
Fully convinced that Tozu let Mara build an execution fit for an Ultimate Athlete but he saw the mistake at the last second and Mara was like "fuck it let's just throw in math stuff" LOL
not sure if anyone else noticed this, but when Eva starts crying, you can see her mascara run.
i think this either means her mascara is somehow super good and can stay on for five days or more, or she did her makeup with Diana's products, an idea i find to be extremely sad bcs that would mean Diana liked Eva enough to allow her to even use her makeup (or maybe Diana did her makeup, which is would be even more depressing)

The execution litterally felt like one last punch to Eva's insecurities of being a mathlete:
It's misunderstanding her talent (mATHLETE) to make more fun of her talent AND force her to do what mathletes are often bad at, cardio.
I like how in all Danganronpa style games, the first execution is always with a chain pulling the neck
And thus, Eva was cast into hell after taking the forbidden fruit.
Same, hopefully, in chapter 2, Damon talks about eva and actually felt bad or something
Using the grey placeholder man / woman for the thumbnail is a stroke of genius.
Now that you mention it, i didnt find the “Isaiah 48:10” writing in her execution, 😂 i recall i read it ingame but its missing
The extra expressiveness of Eva made it hurt even more tbh, it makes her fear super tangible & sad
Can you list more characters you like so I know who's dying next....
you have a certain pattern of favorite characters…

The way Eva was gripping her podium reminds me so much of Kirumi and her determination to live after she killed Ryoma… Really excited for Chapter 2!!!
It feels comforting to see Damon cry, it's what he gets for being arrogant and smug like. I hope he treats the others more carefully, because solving the case itself killed someone. And it killed the one he thought who was trustworthy.

It’s how well the agony and pain is drawn in this scene, normally in danganronpa we don’t see that it that much, exceeept some executions. fucking amazing and breathtaking, i felt her desparation and her wanting to live. with the actual DR games, you can see how the characters kinda accepts their fate but here you can see how much she wants to live and its horrifying and makes you realize that this is literally *a person getting killed*. her grabbing on to the podium desparetely, her climbing through the pain and even grabbing on and receiving someone's help for the first time. it's incredible yet terrifying and it sets an amazing tone for the rest of the game. amazing job team!
That’s exactly what I’m saying! Even the music portrays her desperation which is such a good detail
I sobbed throughout the execution LEAVE ME ALONE 😭
Finally they're killing the grey naked man he will finally atone for his crimes
After so many comics depicting his crimes we got him 🙏
he was charged for his crimes
.........and got away
...
i think he swaped places with another student again
1:23 I could be very wrong but on the side. Couldn’t she escape from getting up to the side? Or would Tozu attempt to stop her ?
Also speaking of which. I notice for this execution. The mastermind or well host (Tozu) wasn’t involve in, while Monokuma would always. Could this hint that Tozu is also sorta afraid of death since he’s human?
bye no she would slip and fall especially when they turn into steps 😭
i dont think she couldve predicted the conveyor belt would turn into stairs and stufff...and if she went to the side how would she get to the exit without returning to the conveyor belt once again... for tozu idk how he would be involved in this execution, we'll see in the next one. i think he's just goofy
@@PichusWorldx And even if she did, I would assume protractors and pencils would still fall because... it's Tozu
Toy Story 3 ending
A hahaha right
*bad ending
Lol
I have a theory that the chapter 0 body is going to play a part in every execution for this series
like the monocubs??? heck yeah...i mean she is the ultimate teacher's aide so she's technically helping the 'teacher' aka Tozu
There’s a detail about the execution I don’t think anyone noticed. (SPOILERS BELOW)
When the execution title is pulled up, you can see that “Liar” is engraved into the plaque with marker being used to cross it out and replace it with “Mathlete”, indicating that Tozu initially based the execution construction plans on the fake talent Eva came up with in the Prologue and made some changes to said construction plans after Wenona outed Eva’s real talent (the math tools being thrown at Eva).
@@DoesntMattertbh Yeah, i think it wasn't a coincidence but on purpose since he would have to have known her ultimate talent if he targeted her
This execution was fire. I loved it.🎀
Pun intended?
Fun fact, if you were in the Splatoon 3 hall on the final day of Riptide 2024, your cheering is in the opening animation. I recorded everyone cheering and threw it into that intro.
I absolutely LOVE how occasionally we see the execution from her point of view!! makes it so much more horrifying to watch!!
At least she hitted cardio before diyng, girly died being fit 💪🏼🔥
The music is so refreshing. A great change of pace from the regular execution, its still there in tones but its different and not a direct copy.
i'm still in in shock and awe of how you guys managed to pull this off like it looks absolutely insane
What makes this so much worse are the little animations of her turning around, they make the execution so much more lively and gruesome then the Danganrompa executions.
i love how it actually look like Kirumi executions when she tried to run away from there
Bro.. you guys cooked with this execution. Everything is amazing!
The math is probably wrong, but the last stretch of the execution might’ve lasted at most 6 minutes with the way the staircase was slowing down
i loved the backsound, i wonder if every execution will have a different music
Given how much time it took for this one, I hope so. Maybe it'll fit in with the ambiance of the execution
This was so good. This whole chapter made me want to keep playing the next one so bad. Idk if I can wait another 2 years chat 😭
SHE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS WHYYYYYYYY
(I swear to god if you kill Ulysses I’m going insane)
youtube thinks its v3 thats how peak P:EG is 🙏
I was expecting Mara to have more of a presence during the executions. She is the enforcer of punishments after all, aside from the quick second of her chibi chasing Eva's she really has no presence
This hurts my heart, and when my heart hurts, it means you’ve done a great job fanganmaking 👍🏾
Even though she had many difficulties,
There is no forgiveness for the inhumane and squalor she has committed.
