how to open 8th Gen 2006-2011 Honda Civic trunk decklid key and cable not working using emergency release
using a breaker bar and a long bar to reach the emergency release handle from the passenger side rear seat. the seat won't fold from the inside of the car.

I found that there is a slot next to the middle of the seats that allows a bar to get through easier than near the door and it even can make a gap big enough to see through to see the release latch in the trunk, I had to open the trunk like this because the line came loose, thank you very much for this video!

My 2007 Honda Civic driver latch springs were sticky with built up oil and dust after realizing I sprayed Pam and pulled hard and trunk opened. Stubborn. It's a tight coil spring. Hope that helps.

I removed the cover on the latch and keyhole because the cover was preventing the full pull needed.
