Do the goats even jump the fencing? Or is that not really a problem for you? I’m trying to figure out how high fencing should be. Also do you ever worry about predators or is that not a problem?

Yes, goats will jump. We have that problem wherever things are too low. The 5 foot fence is a really good height for them.
Predators are also a problem but all depends on where you are. Find neighbors with animals and ask them. We have bears and mountain lions. We have a guardian dog for any livestock that are not close to the house. We have also done lots of electric fencing. Our sheep and goats are in an inner part of our property where our dogs run free outside their area so we don't have issues with our show animals. Our breeding animals we need much more procosion. All depends on your area.

I could. I am considering making a sheep show course. I am actually looking for people to interview for market research on the topic. Would you be interested in being interviewed (20 minutes) with questions on what would be needed to be included in 'everything you need to start showing sheep'?
