What's even funnier was how the others replied with "Yes Chef, thank you Chef", as if he was Gordon Ramsay
One of them was also the sous chef
@@luke8801 both of them were. Scott said "Yes, Chef" and Marianne said "Thank you, Chef". They both are sous chefs during services - Scott in blue kitchen and Marianne in red kitchen.

That was too funny

Loved Dewberry sooo much
It kinda looks like its the same cut of him laughing
It’s the same cut of him laughing lol
The one thing that pisses off JP is being called Jean Pierre

The fact that Michael created the sabotage is amazing
Right?? That’s so cool that it became a thing
Wait what? He was cheating HIS team?
Michael knows hes in control of everything and he tries to get ahead of everyone, which is a dick move, yet a clever one
In reality, sabotages are allowed in Hell's Kitchen, especially in finals like these. These test the ability of the chefs to take quality control.
@@benedictrodil4931 This was the first season of Hell's Kitchen.
On all future seasons, Gordon would intentionally sabotage the head chefs as a test.
They took the idea from Michael
Michael is like the quiet kid in class who never talks and suddenly gets 100% on his grade’s.
that just sounds like a student that listens?

Michael basically invented a new Hell’s Kitchen system due to his sabotage
@Daniel Chancey And why didn't Spain ever just annex Portugal?
@Daniel Chancey Because despite your notion that that's clever or funny, it's actually just dumb and not even a word.

You know its a fckng amazing move when when the Sous Chef rolls with your plan. Michael is a fckng alpha
Realize it even more after they do the same thing for the rest of the seasons the guy pretty much invented that trick for hell's kitchen
Sigma even
It's too bad his addictions took him down and he wasnt able to open his own restaurant
Is being a drug junkie alpha too?
I think he got ramsay to start doing to all the black jackets unless he did that in season one already?
Jean Philippe looks like he was upset when Ralph was calling him Jean Pierre. Lmao
*Sad jean pierre moments*
you mean Jean Pierre?
He's gonna use Silver Chariot.
@@cxltofpersonality nice reference lol
I see why Michael won that season, lol! I'll use this line with my co-workers at work later on, lol!
Okay then, LOL!
'Thank you for attending our morning business meeting today. I would like to start by saying you guys cook like old people fuck' seems legit
@@wattson451 yea but than he had rehab and took full control on his life afterwards and now working back in a kitchen
LOL My coworkers get aggressive if I forget to say please. This line would make them lose their mind
Yeah probably not the best idea for me to use that line, being a teacher and all 😂
Michael is reason the sabotage at the pass was created. It started was not here in season 1 but it started in season two becuase of Ralph not noticing the crab. I have to say it's a brilliant idea it shows if the chef notice something is wrong or not. So many people have failed because of it.
Its the difference between winning and losing
@snoopy dubnation yeah it kinda is, but it’s a competition and it’s clever, you want to expose the other teammates weaknesses so you can win.
Michael doing Ramsays job *LOL*
Michael is the impostor
@snoopy dubnation huhhh??? it’s a competition what do you expect?
Cool to think Michael started the quality control test. Now that happens every single season.
Michael is the best winner by far, he's the most strategic and would constantly be helping his teammates. The red team lost twice, all of a sudden, Michael joins and then they start winning challenges and services. Michael was the best winner of Hell's Kitchen, no competition, best winner
I think one other does match him. Heather from Season 2. Same situation there too, she switched teams and her new team started winning every challenge; even Scott was talking to her on a level long before black jackets were handed out.
His helping teammates was mostly to make them look worst. Which plays into strategy but isn't "helping his teammates" it's sinking them
Nah Christina was the best winner and it’s not close but Micheal is definitely top 10
My money is on David from Season 6 and John-Forgot-his-season, the one that looks like Eminem.
@@omarfnm7911 Christina was worse than Petrozza, she only won because he was older
I kinda wish the show did more commentary with Gordon. It was nice to see a deeper perspective into his side of things
Yeah definitely
As much as I liked it, I think Gordon's commentary in the confessional wouldve made him look less intimidating to the viewers. Maybe in the last 3 or 4 to the final 2 then yeah but they didn't wanna ruin that intimidating vibe for the viewers.
Wooooooaaaaah look closely when Michael said his quote
Even sous chef Scott laughed
*Woooow*
I expect the sous chef to be angry but he was chill with it.
@@odysseus2k1 because its kinda smart. he's testing him and showing that ralph wasnt competent and didnt notice the key part in "crab risotto"
@@Sackboybenji read the comment odysseus was replying to...
Micheal: Trying to see how many go without having crab in them.
Chef Scott: Fucking Genius
Real recognizes real
My analysis of Michael’s comment: Michael had taken his time to mentally prepare for this competition. Knowing how loud and strict Ramsay is, he watched military movies to prepare for this. The comment he made is from the movie “Jarhead”. After watching so many military movies this stuck in his head and he found a time to use it.
I have no doubt that Michael is the sort of guy to over prepare for his work. That's what high achievers do.
When he realised he was going to be running the kitchen in the finals, he definitely brainstormed and came up with a bunch of Ramsay-like canned lines that he could deliver.
In the show, they even showed footage of him practicing his insults with Ralph and Ralph just cracking up at his attempts.
I'm sure he spent hours off screen just practicing insults
@@DivineAtheistWannabe ohhh i like that he was sneaky about it and practiced on Ralph also in this video when he told Scott about what he was doing.
@@DivineAtheistWannabe Way to overthink/analyze it and diminish the humor, guys.
All this "oh he stole that/he practiced it/Full Metal Jacket" nonsense...who cares? Why can't you just laugh and leave it be?
George Carlin already used this line in "Carlin on Campus": You drive like old people fuck, slow and sloppy!
0:18 I like how you can see Scott also laughing in the background.
Thank you!! I was looking for where people said you could see Scott laughing!

Back when Gordon did the interviews. And it’s amazing that he took Michaels sabotage and turned it into the quality control test for every season.
All joke aside. That one trick up Mike's sleeve is really really good. "Don't interrupt your enemies if they're fooling themselves" -Sun Tzu.
"You cook like old people fuck"
Gordon: i raised that boy
0:10 Chef Ramsay looks like he's having a hard time not to start laughing uncontrollably lol. That was hilarious as f*ck. xD
I just love that Gordon’s face is like “damn, wish I came up with that......” after Michael says that 😂😂😂
"You guys cook like old people fck!"
"Thank you chef!!"
LOL!
0:14 scott was laughing. He tried to hold it in though...,😂
The fact Gordon said and admitted “michael had Ralph look stupid and took him down big time. That was an interesting lesson but a very clever move from michael’s behalf”, it’s when you know you got Gordon’s respect and know he won
You might win a cooking show by cooking good food, but this is how you win Gordon Ramsay's heart.
I love that Gordon sticks up for jp when the guy said his name wrong I can just tell jp and Gordon are Probably friends off the show ❤️❤️
Most likely. And it's just disrespectful to not just a member of the team, but a high ranking member of the team. Jean Phillipe IS front of house. He's in the shit, and Ralph doesn't have the respect to even say his name properly.
Jean-Phillipe’s been with him since the early 90’s. They definitely are friends.
JP actually works with Gordon in real life at his restaurant which is why jp left for awhile to look after it and then came back to the show so of course they're friends for real and have each other's back
JP is the maitre d at one of Gordon's biggest restaurants, and they've been working together for a long time
Damn my whole lockdown went on watching Hell's kitchen clips

Good thing there's likely gonna be a second one 😂
I binge watched seasons on Tubi
And kitchen nightmares
You may laugh at him,
You may shout at him,
You may make fun of him,
But the very last thing you wanna do to him is....

This wasn't staged? It's actually a contestant that sabotages this time. Was it this guy that came up with it from the beginning?
All I’m gonna say, you’ve witnessed the origin of sabotages in the hot plate.
Ye it was this guy who pretty much started this for the rest of the seasons.
Yes, and it's not staged, gordon notices it but it's fine with it and even thinks it's a good move
@@JulianM-zd8hf because it is a competition.. and that guy job is to taste and inspect the food that will come out.. and as we see here is that he didnt notice it and ruined the food for the customer.. thus, bad review and its bad for him because it means he cant do his job properly..
@@JulianM-zd8hf Yup he notices and even tries to help the guy by telling him before it went out "you have to taste it!" But he didn't and just sent it out.
**Gordon will remember that**
The fact that the two replied with respect like it was Gordon scolding them was the icing on the cake

“Yes chef”

2:08 safety first
You can see Gordon is proud of Michael . He raised him well.
That was a 5head move by Michael.. Is this when they started doing these tests at the pass in future seasons?
They started it in Season 2 or 3.
That's the exact reason, he did something so smart that began to include it in future seasons
Ramsay is like a proud dad
I think the best part was the “Yes Chef” afterwards.
Michael was easily the best contestant/winner of Hell’s Kitchen. He was arguably the best cook as well. He was unflappable. Every team he went to got better.
It’s really incredible how strong Ralph started off and how quickly he just absolutely collapsed and lost all control.
He's such a strong chef for this department. Bit too strong and was made a fool.
Plot twist: the whole reason why Ralph lost was because Jean-Philippe was so mad at Ralph for mispronouncing his name
The commentary from Gordon navigation talking us through everything is spot on.
Gordon genuinely laughing made me laugh harder than what the other guy said lmfao.
“You guys cook like old people fuck.” is a very random reference to a scene from the movie “Full Metal Jacket”, where Sgt. Hartman said to Private Pyle, “You climb obstacles like old people fuck!”
Really random reference lol
2:47 that satisfaction he has
How genius it was for Michael to basically come up with the challenge of trying to slip mistakes by the chef at the pass 🤯
This has to be the first time I've seen Gordon smile in Hell's Kitchen 😃That is a rare sight.
1:31 "wtf are you talking about" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love how chill these guys were compared to what it’s like now
I love how sous-chef Scott is cracking up in the back while saying "yes chef" xD
Damn- just- *damn.*
Ramsay and my best friend has the exact same laugh. Would love to see the both of them in the same room laughing and cracking jokes together lol
Why TF Gordon never credited Michael for creating the sabotage in HK?
"You guys cook like old people fu*k!"
"Yes, chef!"
"Thank you, chef"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This episode basically is the most calm one I have seen
Gordon was like: “I never thought about that one before.”
You can put your whole love and passion into the food and Gordon still dont like you. But with insulting others you can win his heart.
“it went out and came back to haunt me” IM DEADDD HAHAHHA LMAOOO
I like how even chef Scott is laughing
Calling Jean Philippe "Jean Piere"
Is like calling Ralph "Rudolph"
You might need to cook well to win a cooking contest, but this is how you win Gordon’s heart.
"He keeps calling me Jean-Pierre (Polnareff)"

I don't think I've ever seen chef Gordon Ramsay laugh like this lol
He has the pleasure of being one of the few that made Gordon Ramsey blush.
2:01 JP looking at Ralph like: "Bout to turn this man into a filet mignon if he calls me Jean Pierre one more time"
This is about as wholesome as it gets.
this man can make gordon smiling without cooking 😂😂😂
