I saw them on this tour, in Detroit... Incredible. I actually got to meet Gene and Bobby before the show. They were just hanging out side the venue when we got there.
Yes they were! I was fortunate enough to see them the night before that video was shot (june 21st 1995 - Rimouski Quebec). I couldnt take my eyes off Gene... he slammed! Totally awe-inspiring.
The most important thing about Death and Chuck is how smart his lyrics were. In most albums he wrote about the slavery of politics and the New World Order, and about how the powerful constantly prey on the weak worldwide, even in America. If everybody actually paid attention to what Chuck said in his lyrics The Bilderberg Group, The Trilateral Commission and The Council on Foreign Relations would have a harder time exploiting us all. Long live Chuck Schuldiner.

James might just be the only one in the band to keep up with Gene, as long as they play the mid-paced down picking riffs. Metallica ain't got no songs with alternate-picked riffs above 240bpm (I'm pretty sure Dyers Eve is their fastest, eh?)
Gene is too good for Metallica :P Why would he participate in a sinking ship making 3d movies with bad marketing and promotion, instead of kicking ass in Testament, Dethklok etc.? He chose being a legend, while they chose to get rich.
