Dude, thanks for all the great content and multiple videos about these 2 speakers. I'm actually an expat living abroad in China and it's Chinese New Year now, meaning tons of online deals. And just so happened both of these have big discounts the next few days. After watching reviews plus yours, went with the XG300. Will be more of an indoor speaker in my apartment and I love the Sony's grey colorway and design. Unfortunately have never been into the JBL designs. Excited for it to arrive. Cheers!
Right on with the XG300, I have 18 other speakers but the Sony is definitely in the top 3... The sound quality and aesthetic value really set the speaker apart, when it's idle and not being played it really does add to a room's decor, only my fluance Fi50 finished in bamboo and my JBL authentics 300 Make such a visual statement, the SRS -XG300 is a worthy speaker especially at $200... Excellent video presentation as always!!

I love JBL quality of sound, but price-wise, their Bluetooth speakers are made for those with more bucks than brains (been there too.. haha) and same goes for Bose. Also perfect for the "LOOK WHAT I HAVE!" crowd. Thank goodness we have other choices like Soundcore and my personal favourite W-KING... aka "JBL Killer." What is described here as "warm" sounding (Sony) I refer to as flat. I didn't like it at all.
Man i really appreciate all your different content about these two speakers i finally decided to go for the sony XG-300 and i love to use it in my house and take it anywhere, got mine for about 180 usd looks and sound so great. Thanks again im subscribed.
I like your long term vs video on these speakers and even tho I don't own the XG-300 yet but I can say this is very true and it's one of the reasons why I don't really use my Xtreme 3

Thank you for your reviews. It really hepled me a lot on deciding what to buy. I want to use the speaker indoors mainly so ended up buying the Sony. My wife does not want me to play loud music while outdoors anyway so I have my JBL clip 4 for those situations😅

100% agree, the Sony looks way more at home in your living room than the JBL.
I am buying mine for outdoor use so will go with JBL Charge 5, later I will get one more for stereo sound.
true and the xtreme is pretty xtreme it literally could be dunked and float in water with no issues
You are very wrong, I think you hear Marshall and Bose flex. Then Sony xg 300 is way too go as they sound more control between all frequencies and has better mids and heavy natural vocals, where jbl is forcing the treble and upper mids too much, it’s sound annoying and vocals sounds artificial and the bass( low frequencies) just gone. It’s the worst speakers between all four I mention. Honestly for audiophile corner jbl sounds fake and uncomfortable to listen for longer periods of time.
You don’t own a JBL speaker to say all of this, I actually own one and you can customize the sound with it, and I am very satisfied with my JBL Xtreme 3, so until you actually own one, you can’t say a thing.

And the Sony Xg 300 and 500 don't have the highs being muffled under boomyness. I'm too not saying Xtreme 3 is perfect speaker. Actually non of battery powered bt speaker are meant to be perfect. That does not mean they will sound muddy and be justified.

Will you please test the turtle box audio and show everyone what 120db sounds like. It's fully waterproofed and floats not sinks. With a full 6x9 speaker and tweeter in the center. Rubber feet and rubber on the back to keep it where you put it.
And the Sony bluetooth speakers are much better for watching movies an videos because they have much lower latency than jbl speakers. I love my Sony xg300 "
Tha partybox 100 from jbl is cheaper than the xtreme 3
JBL's Charge and Xtreme series is way overpriced for what you get. The Partybox series is where it's at.
The Xtreme 3 is grossly overpriced, but I would pay the $189 for a Charge 5 any day of the week.

Or a Soundcore Rave Party 2 which is on sale for $180.

I’ve been looking for a speaker like these but with FM radio for use outdoors at a drive in movie theater. Any recommendation to check out for that use?

The JBL have a pitch enhancement sound to them. No thanks I'll stick to Sony's neutral sound and if I want to I can adjust the eq on it. Also the JBL looks like a big purse and the Sony looks versatile and classy.

You can customize the sound with the JBL speaker, and I have tried it with movies it sounds decent. If you want a more neutral sound then the sony would be a better option. But I like the enhanced intense sound I get from movies when I use my JBL Xtreme speaker

@@jacobsebastien3910 how is the sound quality? So much bad reviews about it. But it has everything I need. LDAC, lower latency, 2 tweeter. Good battery and the app has many options for tweetening.

Simply because I had a charge 5, which don’t get me wrong sounds amazing! But unfortunately, I had to send back because of battery charging problems. So I did some research on the Tribit storm box blast & decided to purchase one & wow, just wow, worth every penny because this speaker makes the charge 5 sound like a toy! Get one, you won’t regret it👌
