Would you use a smaller ring to saturate less magnetic flux, or a larger one to connect the iron pieces closer to where the copper coils would be? Or just use a circular plate the same inner and outer diameter as the magnet? Does it matter? I realize this is an old comment, but I'd really appreciate the help.

you almost look like a manufacturer now but anyways how about a cold weather led test. say you go skiing and then you test led with brightness meter and then you can find out if you can power a battery charger for a cold weather heated jacket.
