    JJ you are the best and so informative, your break down is amazing and I watch each video you put out. I have SIBO, an over production of bacteria in the small intestine so putting in these non digesting fibers and too much can feed my bacteria and ferment, which turns against me. Can you do a video on this to help our micro biome? There’s so many of us out there!!

      Same, as fiber and veggies over certain amounts can actually make our SIBO worse, and fruits as well can feed our over production. You are so informative, JJ do you know how to help with this condition and foods as well???

      Thank you jj for your information on gut health,I have now had to change things in my diet,I do alot of exercise with work as well with stretches moring and night,changes to what I cook my food in,I like cooking from scratch any way,just extra bits as well,learnt alot.

    I have Crohn’s disease and have had 5 bowel resections after the first I was told that in a year or two I would have a feeding tube and colostomy bag! I was devastated to say the least. But bc of GOD alone bc the Dr’s are horrible when it comes to Crohn’s and the dietitians few and far between and I live outside Houston Tx near one of the most well known and best medical centers in the world supposedly so. I say my health is due to GOD bc here I am 14 years later and I’m better than I’ve ever been from following GODS health food laws in Deuteronomy 14 and by HIM leading me to people like you. Praise ye the LORD! I do IF AND HEALTHY KETO. I’m able to workout again after double knee replacement surgery due to steroids,I developed avascular necrosis. I recently had a horrible reaction to a new drug that severely affects the immune system called Skirizi and am still getting over the side effects of inflammation even in my eye! I believe GOD has a reason for everything and all the GI Dr’s super drugs have not worked so far , my body rejects them! Hmmm! I’m lead or drawn towards someone like you daily! ❤

    There’s nothing wrong with eating soy if it’s organic, it’s a good source of protein and staple food for a vegan or vegetarian. GMO foods and pesticides are the problem.
    People with IBS can’t tolerate high FODMAPS this occurs with some foods for some people not everyone reacts to the same trigger foods.
    Some people especially people with thyroid disease or autoimmune diseases are also coeliac or sensitive to gluten and dairy.
    Most nuts are healthy and can be activated to reduce phytic acids and sometimes it’s okay to eat small quantities.

    as a former shift worker, let me tell you nothing wrecks your gut more. Add in some cortisol with emergency work, no time to drink water or go to the bathroom, and change your shift next week. All I can say is pass the donut. (JK, but it's super hard to maintain a healthy gut)

    I've been doing a lot of reasearch and apparently bottled water contains estrogen which can disrupt the endocrine system. Do you recommend we buy filtration systems or buying water in dark colored glass bottles instead of plastic?

    I have a hiatal hernia and cant eat anything fermented except yogurt...bone broth has high histamines..neither of those work for my gut that really needs help😢

      Yes, as long as the bottle says olive oil only and organic/non-gmo. Also, as we age our digestive system ages, so yes gut health is even more important during menopause.

      Follow her suggestions, try lemon and water, optimize your liver health, and take an enzyme with bile included. If you've been diagnosed with a sluggish gallbladder, then you're probably not digesting fats.

      In my opinion not for women. There are times in the hormonal cycle that it's ok and other times not. It's a tool but not to be overused. Check out Fast Like A Girl by Dr Mindy Peltz

    What about if you wake up at 5am and get to gym at 7:15am…strength training 5-6 days a week and need the carbs before and after? I eat 5 times per day (meals)
    Meal 1 5:45am (gym by 7:30am)
    Meal 2 9:30am
    Meal 3 12:30pm
    Meal 4 4pm
    Meal 5 6:30pm
    Sleep 7-9 hours daily. My carb window is around my workout time meal 1 & 2. I eat my protein in each meal equal amounts.
    I wanted to get more feedback on the time in between meals as I don’t have more time to spread out….is this ok?

    Ok, you just said something that completely discredits your advice. You said not to eat GMO foods because they’re oversprayed with pesticides. If you eat any new, popular fruit or veggie strain - like say Honeycrisp apples - you’re eating something that is a combination of different genetic traits to create a product that will appeal to the public or be easier to grow. There are organic versions of these - no pesticides! Genes can be modified in many ways. The end result of some modifications may not be good, but to say it produces fruits and veggies that need to be oversprayed is completely false. In fact, a lot of GMO foods are created to make crops less vulnerable to pests and disease so that they need to be sprayed LESS and farmers lose fewer crops. Misinformation!
