Wow i just fixed the smoke detector and im watching this video again and the smoke detector seems so much louder in this now that mine is fixed. I'm pasty white with dead straight hair, but I'm also a character designer/creator who wants to be able to thoroughly research different hair types and be able to represent them correctly. Your videos have genuinely helped me so much in understanding and portraying this better!

I LOVE this perspective bro. I'm an artist who is always interested in new cultures and people so I get ittt. And I love to see different race artist include black people with natural hair and 'fros and especially take the time to understand it! Keep it up honestly :)
I really love when non-black artists try to master black hair, because a lot of them never even try to learn the diversity of hair types! The industry is moving away from that now (look at Encanto, the hair was all amazing), but historically even Disney wasn't good with black hair.

@@Boneappleteahee oh dont worry its super healthy actually, i meant 'dead straight' as an adjective!! Nothing wrong with it at all i dont think! I am just aware that I've mostly grown up in an environment where diverse hair hasn't really been very relevant to me!! I'm here repping my white folk who use these videos to study and learn!

When i decided to go natural, my hubby wasnt excited. I explained the damage the relaxer did. He still wanted straight hair. I decided that this decision was for me. He didn't like me natural but i did. He had to accept me.

I’ve changed my hair type. I went from 4c to 4b/4a. Then again maybe I always had that type of hair and I just didn’t know how to moisturize and properly take care of it because it would curl if I put gel in it, but the curls never stayed . It’s taking me a lot of research to get to this point. Im still learning and trying to get it to how I like it.
