You are pretty much right, the Helicopter heap was made by a fault in a map trigger that made the Map continuously spawn a helicopter but nothing to tell it to stop, they got stuck in each other and made that whole mess, it was fixed by Mike or Gir going a bit ahead and check the next trigger to make it stop

29:23 To explain why this happened, in Half-Life 2, the Suppression Device on the museum-looking building uses a modified version of the code used by the tank in Half-Life 1, and since GMod is a mod for Half-Life 2, I guess it makes the Tank use Half-Life 2's version of the code, launching orbital strikes instead of regular Tank rounds.
