Currently getting into the game with Madoka Magica/Magia Record, LOL. I love the series, and a lot of the characters, which is why. There is a mono-yellow deck that I *really* want to go for, but the issue isthe level 1 and level 3 combos are both very expensive (the rest of the deck is very affordable) The set seems to have quite a few cards that are pretty unique as far as weiss schwarz goes, especially some specific events and backup characters.
The Rat and helmet Rem/Ram are actually your most expensive cards outside of kanata herself. Good deck thou thank you for the list. I might give this a try my self
A solid intro to a solid budget deck! As a suggestion, since newer players need it most, maybe a primer on how to pilot the deck at each level and what the lines of play are would be useful. Like your primer on the dual laners and pah-chin dual laners decks. As a clarification to new players picking up this deck, the 3/2 Kanata is not 15K all the time; it's 12k with two 0/0 Coco in the rear stage. The 15k power level comes from having the 2/1 Kanata back-up in hand, which you can easily grab with the 3/2 Kanata CXC. I also recommend to newer players NOT to run seven different 3/2s that are not the 3/2 Kanata until you know what your deck is lacking against your local meta. If you don't understand what your opponent's deck is trying to do by the end of their first or second turn, running seven singleton copies of toolbox cards can be a detriment, particularly if you need a specific card and can't get to it because it's stuck in your stock, clock, or level. As far as singles go, the 0/0 Aki drop search is the most expensive, at around $4.50 per card. If you're buying the trial decks, though, this isn't an issue.
new player here: how necessary is the lvl3 toolbox? ive been feeling like half of them never really come up (maybe its just because i'm bad...). like, i get the tutors, the aqua and the recycling, but the lvl 3 toolbox just seems like extra steps that dont really accomplish much
The point of a toolbox is that no piece in the toolbox is necessary and they're all meant to be useful in specific scenarios. You can outfit your toolbox with the tools that you want and enjoy using yourself!
@@ChairmanTCG ok, maybe i should have phrased that differently XD. i come from other TCGs and know what a toolbox is. my question should have probably been more along the lines of "how much worse does the deck get without the toolbox". since i'm new (literally started yesterday on a whim) and still trying to figure stuff out, i find myself constantly clocking the toolbox cards and using the tutors to search for kanata/Luna to progress the main gameplan. so would it be an option to put in more brainstormers/tutors to go with the main shell of the deck, or does this make the deck loose too much power to be able to play it against strong decks?
The level 3 toolbox is mostly a showcase of all the good finishers in Hololive that don't require a climax combo, since Kanata combo doesn't help us deal extra damage to our opponent. As long as your gameplan has a way to close out the game cleanly, you can easily consolidate and exchange endgame tools for more consistency earlier. I would recommend at least 4 cards that can deal extra damage to start, any fewer than that and you're likely going to struggle ending the game on your own terms. Let me know if I can help with any other questions! Hope you're enjoying learning the game ~
@@ChairmanTCG thanks for the explanation. also, i'm sorry if i inconvenienced you in any way. since i am playing against my friends (who are also new) for now, i'll probably stick with the 2 starter decks for now and proxy some cards to try them out. i'll definitely keep the toolbox options in mind. the level 3 but actually 2 suisei, cancel burn flare and noel are some of my considerations for finishers at the moment. thank you so much for all of the beginner friendly videos. i'll make sure to watch more to get a better sense for actual strategies, not just the basic gameplay
The Luna is still a level 1 in hand so you need to be at level 1 in order to play her. Once she's on the field, she becomes a level 0 which means there is no soul penalty when side attacking against her, and players can remove her from the field with a level 0 bomb. (It's effectively a downside, which is why the Luna gets additional base power to compensate)
@@ChairmanTCG You rock! I just ordered this (I have 1 of each TD and that's basically it from Hololive) and it ran for just a little over $20 with tax, shipping, etc. Surprisingly enough the most expensive card by a wide margin was the TD AkiRose
Thank you for making such great content it's truly appreciated by the community 👌🙌
Musashi burn sounds old, didn’t expect to hear it again haha. Brings back memories. Lately trying to get back into WS

How does the lvl 1 Luna work? Can i play it lvl 0 since it gets minus 1 on stage? Or do I have to wait until lvl 1?

@@ChairmanTCG okay cool.
Would you still recommend this deck in 2024?
I really like it since it has so many different hololive idols in it, thanks to that "toolbox".
I think it's still a solid place to start out if you're trying to get into the game or into Hololive as a set.
Love this kind of content! Cool deck, great explanations! Decklog would be nice but that's a nitpick.
Your wish is my command, decklog is now in the description~
