Can only speak for myself, for me no. Same as ATS isn't competition to ETS (ignoring being the same dev). Sometimes I feel like driving around Europe, sometimes around the US and if it were available I'd also drive in Australia. They all exist side by side to me because for me it's more like where or what type of truck do I want to drive. Simply put they don't compete for the same regions. As long as the sim is good and real enough to enjoy in that sense and maybe learn something even I'll drive/sail/fly/orbit it. :)
Id like to see them implement a more immersive way of loading too, like a way of loading multiple objects onto a trailer or, this being in Australia, taking a multi trailer load to different pick up points along the way, then going to multiple drop offs, giving you the opportunity to plan out a route to be as efficient as you can
@@chemicalbrucey157 That would be great. ETS 2 is here for 10+ years, it's sad they still don't have something like that, which is actually very common in real life trucking
@@EuroTruckDriver365Oh, like the multiple rigid-trucks you see all over Europe but not in ETS2? Come on now there's no need for that. The community loves a stagnant franchise and SCS can't do no wrong.
Really? What's so overwhelmingly good about ETS2? The fact that all we got for 12 years was paid DLCs on a game engine from 90s? With looks and physics from 90s and the last engine switch isn't as groundbreaking as announced (obviously). Or the fact that it's the only trucking game that works right now? The game itself is repetitive and boring, even for a game that's supposed to be a little repetitive by principle. And the only way to make it more spicy is all kinds of mods. If this TWA ever gets released I'd be happy to try it out. This looks way better now than ETS2 after 12 years of developing. The only thing that makes SCS game better is maps, but then again - only with ProMods. I think they need some competition, because there's not a single trucking game right now we can call a simulator - definitely not Euro Truck Simulator ;)
@@uglyjonah6412 It's going to be exceedingly difficult for any other developer to successfully compete in this niche genre, considering how many man hours it takes to create these insanely large driveable maps. (Over 4,000 real kilometers of drivable roads in ETS2 alone -- which took a large developer team many years to achieve) .. ETS2 has over a half million user reviews and most are "overwhelmingly positive" .. Proof that it's not a boring game for most regulars -- but it's obviously not everyone's cup of tea, as no game is. I'm just glad to finally see another company ATTEMPT to compete in this space, but it's not going to be an easy undertaking. If they're successful, maybe it'll push SCS to stop resting on it's laurels and improve the graphics in their already existing maps instead of focusing all their attention on endless expansion. It could definitely use a graphic engine upgrade and more detailed textures..and a physics overhaul wouldn't hurt either.
@@AdamsOlympia yeap. I use Promods which brings even more to the table. But it proves my point - community made content has done more good for this game than developer. This game has been unoptimized for the past 10 years, it's even worse with (finally) a new engine. The fact that people rate this game so high doesn't mean it's good. They just haven't seen anything better in this category 😉
I was happy once when Alaskan Road Truckers was supposed to come out and when it did, it was really disappointing and still sucks. I'll hope this game will at least compete a bit with ETS2 or ATS, but I highly doubt it. Gameplay trailers are one thing, but the actual gameplay is always different.
I was tempted to buy it, but the gamr is total rubbish. I've played a download from Games torrent, and well, it's like a game from the 90s into the early 2000s, just not worth the money they charged for it £2.99 worths
Serious gaming is becoming more popular. When I first stepped in ETS2 I was surprised at what this game had to offer. You can dive into carrier or do a one time trip to earn money to clear your head. Put some music on and be a truckdriver. When I tried ATS the experience was much different with the larger trucks. So I welcome every new truckgame and believe each game will have it's own fanbase and Truck World will be a hit when they release it.
Being better that ETS 2 is a tough hill to climb. SCS has done an amazing job transforming both ETS 2 and ATS into what they are today and are still working on both games. Other devs seem to only want to make a quick buck and be done. While Alaskan Road Truckers has some gameplay elements ETS 2 and ATS don't have, game looks bad and is a pain to run smoothly. An RTX 2060 as a minimum requirement? Get real. Truck & Logistics Simulator isn't that bad when it comes to system requirements but doesn't look that good and handling could be improved big time.
that might work if the drivetrain simulation is realistic, like if you can feel the engine power through the rpm or if you can float gears. Visually it seem perfect and the world interaction is what ats/ets is lacking
Tentei jogar o Driving School, mas notei que não havia compatibilidade com Joystick. Pelo que vi nem agora irá ter. Infelizmente não vou poder jogar sem essa opção.
The scale of the map will be an issue (at the beginning). And the fact that it will play in Australia and not in Europe. We all see that the view sizes of ETS2 are much higher than in ATS. Besides that, the game looks and feels good (by what I saw). Good Video, pal. Cheers Christian Christian
Looks good .do you think there will be an android.ios version or just pc. Wasted if they don't. Way ets is going be there soon with map up grades. 4:56
I want to drive a semi with a fuel trailer that gets raided by a motorcycle gang... Just kidding. Not much interest in down under, but the need to make sure the cargo is secured is a nice touch. I hope SCS takes notes.
It wont take much. ATS/ETS2 are garbage simulators. The physical modeling of the ETS/ATS World is like something out of the 90s by geeks that have never once driven a truck let alone a real job.. The idea they are allowed to call themselves a "simulator" while completely ignoring things like Mass and momentum is almost fraud. Add that to the fact that the devs hate Americans makes it even sadder. In ATS you get every red light. In ETS2 you get every green light.
The worst part of ETS and ATS are their world are so empty and lifeless, and so low on interaction with the world. I mean, irl world of truck many factors that turn driver into their daily life as a driver. Even for way down from a truck you cant, cant check you truck by inspecting it tire by tire And by god, stop turning people make ETS into bus gaming 😢 it ruin the ETS itsels, that mods are so stupid If ETS ans ATS making their game open world, i mean no fence or something stupid barrier, i will back into SCS game again

Wonder if Truck World Australia simulates the massive amount of speed and other uppers Aussie truck drivers take to stay awake for 50 hours at a time?

fore me only if it has VR. does it habe VR?
hopefully it worls with UEVR since its unreal engine
No one can replace ETS 2, its a more matured product evolved for over a decade.
