Tahir is not only funny, he's smart in an analytical way too. He saw the picture of the catfish and knew instantly why it's called a "Cat-Fish". He always gets to the basics of things and finds the relationship between them and his own experiences, no matter how foreign those things are to him. Good guy - and I am sure that he is the "Life of the Party".

It never was a staple food in my Southern home, but we do have a bunch of catfish restaurants in our area so some people must love it. Now we eat no fried food in our home so we must be bad Southerners. Southern foods have led to a Southern plague of obesity and diabetes. You won't find Satan's sweet tea in my home either. I can't have anything good anymore or it sends my blood sugar through the roof. If only I had Tahir's medical wisdom growing up I'd be fine.

@@lumilight8229 vitiligo isn't an inflammation, it's a lack of melanin in an area of the body. Michael Jackson had vitiligo, it's why he started wearing a glove (the patches started on the hand), then finally bleached his skin entirely. There are at least 2-3 forms of vitiligo. I was born with it. No inflammation, though it is related to Lupus. Just patches of white on my otherwise tan body, and it's everywhere: tummy, legs, face. I was picked on as a kid because of it, so made it my mission as a youth to learn all I could about it. The seafood/milk thing I'd never heard of, but apparently wives tales link it to the fungal version of vitiligo (I'd never heard of it, but maybe that's not a 3rd version, but the version MJ had, and my research didn't explain it was fungal in those cases).

Fun fact about cat fish, those whiskers or moustache are called barbels and they are for tasting food around them.
