And there's the look on BARNEY'S face when he realizes what has happened! Maybe Andy SHOULD fill it with sand and give Barn a shovel so he can play in it on weekends!
This is one of my favorite episodes, and being a motorcycle guy, I got a good laugh. The Harley JD is the same bike ridden by Ike Godsey in the Waltons. I have tracked the motorcycle down to a small town in Colorado. My goal is to get a pic of myself sitting on Barney's Bike!
I liked that episode Barney's sidecar.Barney wanted to take Andy to the diner and the side car stays behind. That was funny. Good fun facts . Good video bob.
I guess it's the one Ike Godsey used. "The Waltons" was filmed on what had been Desilu property. Their house exterior is the same as Sam and Mike Jones' house.
Your comment reminded me of an episode with Ernest T. Bass with Ramona when she talkes about rain. Ernest T. Said ma'am do you always have to talk about rain? 😂😅
Gotta leave a good comment as well--- I love the laughter scene from the old boys ( and Andy) as Barn drives off uncounted! I'm an old boy myself and still laugh myself off the couch everytime I see it!!!
Been watching for 60+ years, started concentrating on the old men on the bench, individually and their actions , every time it was on I focused on one man......try it, each one is hilarious 😂
That Comet was always parked in Mayberry. And did you notice the 1963 Mercury Meteor station wagon (it’s in the thumbnail behind Knotts on the motorcycle)? One year only, 8025 built.
@@88SC I sure did! The Comet was also heavilly driven. We love to watch for the Comet drive in one direction and then a very short time later the car was going in the opposite direction! LOL!
Mayberry obviously only had a budget for one squad car. Andy also used it for his personal use. It didn't seem right to hear the word Nazi in any episode. Aunt Bee was possibly the worst choice to say it. Opie could have burned down the house with his kit. Didn't he learn his lesson about fooling with fire? Would the local museum be fooled by the plaque Andy "found" with the motorcycle? Regardless, this episode had some funny moments. It's a wonder that they didn't have a way to get another squad car.
You should bring up something that I did not know that Bob Denver made an appearance on TGAS which you could call Goober vs. Gilligan episode which I heard really turned into a fist fight over acting abilities outside the show of course but still.... Another episode was when there was a man with a rifle looking for Andy which some people were saying this guy was going to kill Andy with it but the guy was an ex con looking to give it to Andy as a gift instead. I
In 1945, my great-grandfather rode out on his motorcycle all bedecked with white flags to surrender our small town in Southern Germany (in open defiance of the SS) to the Americans. He had been the town's policeman for 35 years and had to join the Party to keep his job. American troops came through without the usual shelling but grandpa was seized as a Nazi. What would you have done?
Who’s Joseph Hamilton? It’s pronounced ES-CAPE…not EK-SCAPE…and maybe a little less throat clearing during the clip…otherwise, you’re doing a great job…love the fun facts.
One of my favorite episodes. Thanks Bob
The look on Andy‘s face when Barney pulls away without him…
And there's the look on BARNEY'S face when he realizes what has happened! Maybe Andy SHOULD fill it with sand and give Barn a shovel so he can play in it on weekends!
One of my favorite TAGS episodes. Thanks Bob for uploading this
When Barney takes off and Andy is left behind I laugh every time I see it. It's probably been 80 times.
This episode always reminds me of the wood burning set I had as a child - complete with a selection of tips.
Thanks for the video, Bob!

That would be great!

❤❤❤😮😮😮😊
These are a lot of Neat Facts. Thank You Uncle Bob. Have a Blessed Week 😊
One of my favorite episodes, so funny. Love Barney with the goggles on him. Thanks Bob.
I love this episode and Aunt Beas line about the nazis is perfect, as was Andy’s reaction.
On an episode of Hogan's Heroes Schulz takes off and leaves Klink behind sitting in the sidecar
Barney’s motorcycle was used on “the Waltons”.
oh okay
Very interesting
I believe it was also on Hogan's Heros
I guess it's the one Ike Godsey used. "The Waltons" was filmed on what had been Desilu property. Their house exterior is the same as Sam and Mike Jones' house.
I love at the end when Andy name the WWI vets ❤
More than enough rain here in NW FLORIDA. Thank you for sharing ☺️
Send some of the rain to Missouri, my area has had no rain for over 6 weeks!
@@JohnPotts-kq7kk oh goodness ! Hope you get some soon !
You got that right about NW Florida and too much rain, and hot. People drive bad enough around here.
On the different addresses, I have lived in the same house since 1970, and it has had 3 different addresses.
We just got some much-needed rain here in northeastern Tennessee. Hopefully you’ll get rain soon too great video.
Your comment reminded me of an episode with Ernest T. Bass with Ramona when she talkes about rain. Ernest T. Said ma'am do you always have to talk about rain? 😂😅
Aunt Bee’s comment may have been ‘out of character’ but I think it illustrates her desperation at that point. 😁
Great video. Funny episode. Always thank you. Praying for you 🙏 Melanie
You counted the stars 🌟 to tell there were only 48 😮
Great episode. Fun facts 👍
Don’t wear my hat Anj.
I disagree about Aunt Bea's comment about the movie. It's because of what Andy said, "We don't want to kill him, hurt him a little maybe". lol
Steve McQueen was one of my mom's favorite actors ❤
The line mentioned as being out of character was my first reaction and subsequent reaction down through the years as well!
Gotta leave a good comment as well--- I love the laughter scene from the old boys ( and Andy) as Barn drives off uncounted! I'm an old boy myself and still laugh myself off the couch everytime I see it!!!
Opps auto corrected- when Barn drives off separately from Andy!
Lol oops- my bad!
Hi Bob and everyone Great video Thank you for everything. really enjoying the episode poll. God Bless Much Love Jean from Hollywood California

Love Barney's helmet! Send rain to Reno! 😋
Just don't wear it. Barney can't stand to wear a hat that has been on someone elses's head. His mother was the same way.
Morning, Bob.I'm doing fine.Hope you are too.Have a great day.A better tomorrow.
Ate we to believe. The taylors moved several times?
Not only does address change, but closets, windows and porches
Is it my old eyes or does Barney's motorcycle not have a clutch lever? Also, there's that omnipresent Mercury Comet parked in the background.

It's in The Stars Cars Museum in Gatlinburg
The motorcycle may be. But the side car is actually in the Andy Griffith Museum in Mt. Airy, NC.
@eda4318 the side car used to be there as well
If I give you 50, you'll, take 55 alright.

I would love to have that bike and sidecar
Great!
"Barney's Sidecar" was one of a handful of TAGS episodes filmed before the assassination of President Kennedy but aired first afterwards.
❤❤

Worst continuity show on tv ever. You would think at least the house would have stayed at one address!!
Damn, I guess that’s a great observation, but I try enjoy the show for what it was… harmless and enjoyable-
“You know, the Beaver.” Lol oh I didn’t know you had a Faith in Entertainment channel. I WILL check that out!
