First video I’ve seen of the difference. Before and after. We’ve a rescue wire and he was shaved/clipped. It’s now growing fluffy and long so think he needs to be stripped as it’s a bit stinky. Couldn’t understand how other wires have such short coats. This video explains why.
They should never have clippers use on their coats and long haired dachshunds do not require any stripping, only feet. Their coats should look like the coat of a Red Setter.
Hello, thanks for your question. The plucking technique for grooming a dog typically refers to a specific method used to remove the dead hair from certain breeds that have a particular type of coat known as a "wire coat" or "harsh coat." This technique is commonly used for breeds like Terriers, Spaniels, and some Sporting breeds. This technique removes dead hairs much more and much more efficiently than combing. :D
At last a lady who does actually know how to hand strip a wite haired Dachshund. Well done you!!!!❤
Beautiful dog❤
Wow, that's incredible! It seemed like Marcel didn't even feel his hairs being plucked out 😂
I wonder why she didn't use the type of brush that removes the undercoat. He was a trooper!
what a chill doggie!
That's great Dachshund with a fantastic temperament.❤
He has such a sweet face!

Incredible. I'm in awe. Amazing transformation. Great job.
Dachshunds are required to have an undercoat. This is the correct way!
Loved watching this!
Cute always a good health
Mister has got a big mustache.
Das ist ein sehr schönes Video. Sieht aus wie unser Rauhaardackel Leo. ❤😊
И у меня тоже жесткошерстная такса! Люблю его! Красавец!!! ❤

Interesting technique; so why would you hand groom over using a brush?

I always hand strip my wirehaired dachshund
Тяжело быть жесткошерстным, но куда деваться! Мой родился прямо на войну, и все еще много корма. Ему уже 6 лет.
Hallo kleiner Dackel , trimmen ist ein MUSS:-)
Mein Max hält still, keine ANGST!!
You do not use scissors on a wirehair - not even on paws, tails and face!!! Plug it or leave it.
Incorrect. Trimming paws is fine.
Never sissors on them ... if you were to take him to a show and the judge see that he see that he has been cut with sissors thats a minus 👎🏻
