As old and archaic (I know they were refurbished after the flood) as the locker room is, knowing who used to sit in these locker rooms gives me chills, most of the greats from the past 40 years sat in them. I actually find that more appealing than some new state of the art room with no history.

Once your king leaves you'll be tanking and drafting number 1 picks again for the next few decades trying to find the next great one.

I dont doubt that if thats their plan either val or zadorov are gone.

@@ZacharyDarkes nah, it's just old and not very fancy. I used to work there, also they had a flood (up to the ceiling) in 2014. The main facility we need more than anything is a replacement for mcmahon stadium (Stampeders) that stadium is the oldest in CFL and was built in 1960's.
The event area of the Saddledome is actually pretty modern because it was all rebuilt after the flood in 2013. The main problems with the Saddledome stem from the cable supported concrete roof. Over time the concrete on the roof has crumbled and in places the cables have become exposed to the elements and have started to fail. There are also acoustic and weight tolerance issues with the roof that result in most major concerts skipping Calgary in favour of Edmonton's Rogers Place.

I dare say the Flames are stronger now with Huberdeau and Kadri than the 2 choke artists Gaudreau and Tkachuk. Gaudreau and Tkachuk didn’t show up in the playoffs most times. I would rather have guys like Hyman, Kane, and Kadri who show up in the clutch than chokers like Gaudreau and the so called Unicorn, Tkachuk.
