Orangutans (like gorillas) are generally chill animals so while they have enormous strengh, they aren't the problems. The problems are the potential dumbasses that could provoke said orangutans for sh*ts and views and would force security to harambe the orangutans.
There’s no way a woman actually did that. He could have easily harmed that baby even by accident. What if he dropped the baby or ran away with it. I think giving your baby to a monkey should be a suitable reason for child protective services to get involved.

It’s just because they don’t want to take chances in case he gets aggressive or too playful. He is still a wild animal after all. And orangutans are seven times stronger than humans.
I have never seen a male orangutans attack a human. Now if you have red hair you need to keep it covered but never have I ever seen a attack and I have spent a lot of time in the wild with these animals and gorillas
