    I've been a fan of the Chiefs for almost 30 years. The Chiefs never had a shot in any game because the QB was subpar or average. I would love for the Chiefs to win but if they lose I'm still going to be happy because I've seen them win a Super Bowl in my lifetime and they are still relevant. Plus that team is really young outside of Kelce. What a time to be fan.

    I think like Nick, Reid and Mahomes have been humbled by the Bucs and the Bengals to the point that they're now willing to do what has to be done, and not necessarily what they want to do. This Chiefs team is finally physical, finally has physical players instead of all speed players, finally rushing the ball more often, and finally taking underneath instead of trying to hit a home run every time; they'll probably have a backup plan if the OL is getting dominated.

    • @JT-lj2yp

    • @boki424
      @boki424 Год назад +8

      @@JT-lj2yp No, what I'm saying is both Reid and Mahomes were arrogant in thinking that they could just play their style and beat everybody, similar to how the Bills played this season. Losing taught them humility to truly re-evalutate themselves and accept change that they were not willing to do so before, and it's heavily reflected in a totally different offensive approach.

      Just reviewed both teams scores this season.
      I counted a win of 9 pts or more as a blowout (more than 1 score).
      Chiefs...6 blowout wins
      Eagles...7 blowout wins.
      These teams are really close.
      Different styles of play, both executed extremely well.

Jalens Hurts was dropping dimes all year before his injury. He was literally the favorite for MVP. I don't have the stats but he was definitely leading the league in deep touchdown passes for a while. His passer rating was up there as well.
    If you still hold the position that he's a "running QB that can't throw" then you're really just outing yourself as someone who hasn't watched the eagles enough to give a fair analysis of Hurts. I am slightly concerned about the shoulder injury cause he definitely hasn't been the same throwing the ball since it happened. Hopefully he's healthy enough to play like he was pre-injury cause I think he'll need to make some big throws to match Mahomes if they want to win.

    It doesn't necessarily need to be discussed yet, but I do wonder if the fact that Brady beat Mahomes twice in the playoffs will ever need to factor into their debate. If I recall correctly Mahomes was 2-1 in the regular season, but in each of Brady's playoff wins it eventually led him to a Super Bowl win (including, of course, Mahomes' worst career game in the 2021 SB). Might see that being important if they each end up with 7 rings.

      Mahomes lost to Brady in the superbowl but it wasn't exactly his fault. Mahomes did absolutely everything he could. It was definitely not he worst career game. In terms of being the GOAT? Yes. And its not even solely because he lost to Brady. Mahomes has not been good in his 2 SB. He has 2 TDs, 4 INTs, and has a 74 QBR. Hes been incredibly average, on top of just getting blown out vs the Bucs. Brady was never blown out in a SB.
      You have to do more than look at ever inflating regular season stats, and how someone plays the game. It doenst help that he lost to Brady 2 times in the play-offs. Would anyone think Brady was the GOAT if he lost to Montana? Probably not.
      Brady is the most clutch player ever, and that clutch-factor is so heavily underrated, its criminal. People are calling him Bill Russell, like Brady just didnt have better stats in 2021 than Mahomes, and he was 44 years old.

    The Saints and Cowboys beat this unbeatable all time great Eagles defense a month ago. Then the Eagles haven't played anybody since (Davis Webb + Daniel Jones led Giants & Nobody led 49ers)... I think the Eagles get exposed. The Chiefs haven't given up more than 24 points in over 2 months, defense is hot at the right time. Mahomes and Reid have been here, and know how much it hurt to lose the last one with everything going wrong at the worst time... (decimated o-line, Mahomes toe, Andy's son in DUI accident that almost killed a little girl). I think they'll come out laser focused and Andy will make it 4-0 vs his old team that ran him out of town.

      Vs the Cowboys and saints they had significant injuries to the secondary and Minshew playing, who not only turned the ball over, but struggled to sustain drives, thus gassing the defense out, even tho they shut down the Saints in the 2nd half. Somehow the chiefs defense is hot for letting up more than 20 points, but the Eagles defense played nobody when letting up only 7 and their not hot. It's pretty amazing how bias people can be lmao
