Because that was original herbs and spices pete. Which by the way is what made his opposition to many of the mad science based villains in his rogues gallery so compelling. He COULD have gone like them after the accident and, he had similar issues they faced due to his intelligence and interests not making him socially popular. He had the dangerous intellectual talent and NOW had the amazing power to make them all pay. But unlike them, he had a better influence, which caused him to choose a better and more responsible path.
What if instead of doing test screenings, they did tests of storyboards? The test groups can get a rough idea of what the studio has in mind without having to actually shoot anything first.
That though too would be telling of how fucked they are in the creative department, when they cannot even trust themselves to make a decent storyboard. Everyone who contributes to the script should be that safety net already.
Disney made a Woke movie containing the message that everyone is racist, and that we all need to celebrate BLM (the grifters) for all eternity. That has ZERO to do with Captain America, who is NOT a black man. This faux version of Captain America is NOT authentic, it is a lie. When people who HATE America and freedom of speech make a movie called 'Captain America' they can't get it right, because spiritually they're not Americans and don't understand the basis of the constitution.
@@chrissantucci1279 Good lord no, great films should have a message or at least some form of intellectual insight. The problem is you need talented writers to do it. When the trailer for the first movie came out, Sonic had teeth and looked weird. They didn’t complain about the audience reaction or try to tell us that we’re wrong, they changed his design and now there’s an entire Sonic cinematic universe. They listened to the audience and changed and now they’re thriving.
I would love to see Disney reach a point where their so wrecked for cash, that not even BlackRock can afford to keep bailing them out, and then Elon just ends up buying them.
I have the same attitude towards Wicked. Let the movie fail so we can get a proper adaptation of the play with a better director and cast that isn't just a bunch of DEI check boxes.
Even if one could look past that and hand wave it way with future tech mumbo jumbo (gel layers, pressure compensators, nanotek force dispersion yadda yadda etc.) his neck would snap and his head would fly right off cuz he isn't wearing an integrated full face helmet. They never left Iron Man with his helmet off in fights tanking god level hits from gigachad supes or omega level mutants (let alone a Hulk who is above most of them) for good reason. It completely destroys any semblance of suspension of disbelief whatsoever smh. They are incompetent and/or are not taking their jobs seriously (and frankly i don't believe them but c'mon, how are you given a chance like that and not even try?) Truly a sad state of affairs.
However, while Stanley Kubrick may have been notoriously difficult to work with (ask Shelley Duvall), at least he was a brilliant director. Nobody at Marvel has a clue these days, the stories are weak because they don't have anyone who has read the comics as a fan, they got rid of every coherent, intelligent writer because they weren't 'woke' enough, and think that if they condescend, chastise and lecture their audience, they will be successful, then are shocked when they aren't!
They should have given the shield to Bucky. He was the better choice. His presence is more interesting, he already had the juice and they built his characters tension up more throughout the years.
Its just a total cop out that Bucky, the other WWII enhanced Super Soldier and Avenger and Cap's best friend from childhood, was not given the mantle. It actually does almost ruin the entire rest of the film with that bullshit. An earned moment between Cap and Bucky and they fucked all over it for some of their earliest DEI nonsense.

She'd start making one recipe... and then realize she was missing an ingredient or change her mind, so she'd try and turn it into a completely different recipe. And in the end she'd have some kind of frankenstein product such that even if it was delicious it could never be reproduced ever again. MUCH more likely it was terrible and nobody could be fooled into having more than a few bites. And then it would slowly molder away on the counter until it was no longer recognizable as food.

Disney is picking so many untested directors and writers because they are actively looking for people that they can use to push their narrative rather than people with the experience and genuine interest in the material to write actual good stories.
The fact that James Gunn even said that they won’t shoot a DC film until the script is done should say a lot. This should be obvious but for Disney and Marvel it isn’t. Multiverse of Madness being an excellent example of behind the scenes chaos. They really need to put the time and effort into their writing. Not just utilize divisive identity politics and lean on the brand name. Because if they don’t they are done.
Your implicit core assumption: Marvel is a for-profit entertainment company that wants to attract and retain a stable audience of genre fans. Actual truth: Marvel is an at-cost advertiser for Larry Fink's boomer hot takes. (Accept it and move on. You'll feel better. Trust me.)
They need to bring in the X-Men and Fantastic Four. The writing has been terrible lately but they’re also suffering from being down to C tier list heroes. I read comics my whole life and I don’t even know who Echo is.
Gunn and his basic sense, that guy is never gonna make it in Hollywood. lol seriously, you'd think having a completed script would just be a minimum requirement before one more fucking penny is spent on a project. These fools are being let loose in a studio before the homework is done.
6:30 Captain Falcon's suit now gives him vibranium's protection and increased strength So he's just Black Panther and Iron Man now or something? God, the powers are getting homogenized to hell.
The vibranium suit is not supposed to give extra strength. Black Panther only has super strength because of the heart shape herp. If Sam has extra strength they just added that on. Which kind of ruins the whole point why he didn't take the serum in F&WS show. Also the vibranium protection is not enough. Hulk can break through vibranium. Thanos can without even trying. Cap (the real one) took a rocket launcher once with the Sheild and he went flying. So the fact Sam is just going to "block" a hit from red Hulk is ridiculous. Same with Sam getting hit by two rocket missiles in the air. The level of inconsistency is crazy.
Did anyone see the vibranium "Midnight Angel" suit Shuri made for Okoye in Black Panther 2?? The suit provides flight & super human physical abilities but its sleeker than an Iron Man suit, Sam's upgraded suit is based on the same tech as the Midnight Angel suit, that's why he doesn't need serum.
I love how much they just don't acknowledge that Sam is supposed to just be a normal guy compared to Cap or Bucky. 99% of what you see him doing would turn his guts into slurry

Reminds me of something as comic book store employee tole me years ago, "Marvel characters are people trying to be heroes, while DC characters are heroes trying to be people"
"Test audiences" AKA Groups of people in NYC or LA that's been to dozens of other 'test runs'. Maybe if they tried audiences in Des Moines, or Tallahassee, or Louisville they might find out a movie that actually appeals to the broader population. Not the bubbles on the coast.
from the comments online it seems like alot of people arent excited about the film , me personally never been a fan of falcon / or the actor i think most people are more excited about red hulk , and its going to suck if they have sam take down red hulk so easy
I see you’re trying to generalize all people in those cities as a monolith, which by the way exposes that you don’t know anything about these people, but these are the audiences rejecting this garbage. Which kinda shits on your point.
In another reality, Disney stayed an Animation Studio and pumped all their shares into Handdrawn Studios and other R&D for the artform. Instead we live in the Becomes Generic Parent Company timeline.
Directors aren't directors anymore. They are figureheads. The movie studio executives are the directors. Directors are now the lackeys that fulfill their vision.
They used to do this in the comics. They would start off with a villain that was a threat to Thor or the Fantastic Four. Gradually weaker and weaker heroes would beat that villain until you expect Aunt May to bitch slap him.
Marvel has gotten cocky. After endgame, they thought that people would show up in drives to watch anything they make simply because of the brand. They’ve gotten lazy, think they can make a billionaire dollar franchise out of the most obscure characters, hire talentless Rick and Morty writers, and can get away with lecturing the audience. Disney is having a hard time listening to fans and would rather listen to shills such as Eric Voss, reel rejects, Louise Julie, Claris Polaris, her boyfriend, and her crying husband. They’re slowly course correcting tho with the news of Kevin firing anyone that can be considered an activist.
Too little too late. Torched brands, aged out characters, dated business model. Let it go. The baby has no pulse, no need to worry about tossing it with the water.
"think they can make a billionaire dollar franchise out of the most obscure characters" They don't. They're not even in it for the money. It's all just for the message.
The MCU has become your sister playing with action figures in the 80’s. You and your fiends have Hulks and she picks up Falcon to fight them so you kick her out and get in trouble.
The Frankenstein's Monster of a movie comment reminded me of Fan4tastic, which felt like three completely different movies mashed together. It started with SCIENCE!, then turned briefly to body horror and black ops, then suddenly it was a blue sky beam superhero movie.
That one you blame the studio. The director was happy with how the film turned out. Then the studio looked at it and said, Nah hate it. So without the directors approval or the input they changed it The director even disowned the film. The studio didn't care obviously if it made a cohesive or decent movie.
Just skip over the actual bits where they learn their powers and become heros, you didn't want to see our Heroes do the Heroes Journey in our Hero movie did you?
@@breach005 I liked the SCIENCE! And even the body horror and brief black ops bit. The problem was the last part of the movie was suddenly a good natured superhero movie and the three bits of the movie didn't work well with each other.
Not happening. 1. Disney more woke than WB. They not canceling a movie staring a bk character. 2. Unlike Batgirl. They already released marketing. You can't get movie tax backs on that. (Which should never be allowed in the first place. Why are taxpayers paying the bill of their failure.)
Ok the suit gives him more power and agility, but there is still a squishy meat bag in the suit. Iron Man's suit does the same, and Tony comes outta every fight looking like he was in a car crash. Red Hulk would turn Falcon into basically a can of unopened tomato paste. For instance, A Hulk picks Falcon up by his legs, spins so fast he becomes a centrifuge and Falcons insides come out through his nose. The suit would take basically no damage but Falcon is dead.
The best example was Tony's comment in Endgame when Cap asked him about the Thanos fight. "I didn't fight him, he rubbed my face with a planet" or something like that. Suits can help the human but they don't make miracles.
Also, Ross isn't just a normal Hulk. The angrier he gets, the hotter he gets. There will be a moment that he can literally melt concrete. With Falcon's open helm, he will burn inside out fighting him.
Not with the power of American freedom on his side! (This movie would be improved a thousandfold if he just jumped into Metal Wolf Chaos to fight Red Hulk)
So.... Why cant Disney just rename the whole movie Black Flacon rather than Captain America? Its like your naming movie Batman but there's only Nightwing in it.
I bet the MCU She-hulk could flatten Thanos with a clap, but yeah a punch from Red Hulk on Captain Black Sparrow "tis but a scratch" 😂😂😂 F-the Disney MCU
It's a shame that MCU Falcon is nothing like comic Falcon. The power to communicate with birds could have been an awesome ability to have on film but the writers were too lazy to create a story arc for him to have comic accuracy. 🤦🏾♂️
They never learn from the movie like Logan (2017) which is one of the best superhero movie ever made yet with reasonably low budget, it was based on the comic book "Old Man Logan", the script writers of Logan didn't get the inspiration out of nowhere by drinking 5 rounds of ayahuasca, they took a comic book story and made a movie out of it.
Captain America had super strength and speed, the Falcon was just a guy with mechanical wings but no super powers. In effect, all he will be is just a regular guy in a super hero suit, WTF
Cap was like the apex human. He was like a combination of athletes, mixing the strongest fighter and the quickest runner. He didn't have superhuman strength like, say, Spider-Man or Thor. Falcon is a regular soldier, just like John Walker before taking the serum. And the Falcon show already established you can't do Cap's job without Cap's serum.
As a little kid in the 80s I can remember The Incredible Hulk tv show and how spooked and freaky the Hulk was. It as the camera work, the makeup, the acting, the music and the story which created the overall effects. I was never spooked and freaked out by animation or CGI. I miss the days before the industry became reliant on CGI.
nonsense, the best scene was when they visited The Real First Black Captain America and shit all over Steve Rogers and his legacy. Fuck that show, jesus.
.. let me just say, after 'Joker 2'.. the timing of these reshoots is very interesting. November 5th., a complete realignment is recognized by some in the press and suddenly this film is back to reshoots. Could it have been another "beat down the chuds", film?
1:13 They’ve stopped trying to polish it. And have resorted to dipping it in glitter and crossing their fingers! 3:39 That’s what worked for Zak Snyder making The Watchmen.
I can’t understand why they don’t just give Sam the serum or give the shield to Bucky That opening of winter soldier where cap is just lapping him shows you everything you need to know about how ineffective a human being would be against someone with the serum This whole thing is ridiculous
Even the Falcon show depicted that. It made John Walker constantly fail against super soldiers to the point he took the serum out of desperation because he couldn't do his job.
This movie will faul harder than indy 5, joker 2, and the marvels. If the costs are true (upwards $500m) then it will claim that title by a massive margin.
Marvel has always been about grounded heroes going through personifications of real-world issues in contrast to DC being more symbolic and idealistic with their pantheon of heroes. I think alot of the MCUs creative leads and writers forgotten about that as time has gone on.
As a comic book fan from waaaaay back it is frustrating that they have zero respect for the source material. It is the height of hubris to take something beloved and then shit on it to tell people it is improved. We notice and are not interested.
Only time I was in a test audience, I saw Superman II -- about 6 to 8 months before its eventual release. Probably the original Donner Cut, now lost forever. BEST version of the film that I have ever seen, though some recent-ish re-edits have come close, so I think these things can go both ways, either for better or for worse. I am genuinely sad that almost nobody else will ever have seen that edit of Superman II, as I think it was destroyed by the studio and that Donner's own attempts to try and recreate it have been only partially successful. Brando's lost scenes and the Epilogue were particularly pleasant. 90% or so of the Epilogue has been restored, but there was still IIRC one beautifully acted and delightful dialogue point at the end betwen the President and Superman that must be no longer be existent, to the detriment of us all. Straight from the comics, cheese and all. It was brilliant !! Only fragments of it persist in the current edits.
There’s only so many times you can say a movie is planned to fail before it’s apparent the makers are simply not failing on purpose but actually incompetent.
I just like how the cinematography and storytelling of that movie is so locked in and tight that it can actually be redone multiple times and still supposedly make sense.. Compare that to an amateur like Straczynski and his Babylon 5 where he had written arcs and events four seasons in advance and often couldnt allow actors to improvies their lines and go ad lib because they might ruined some future plot points..
For years I've been saying to friends that all the MCU had to do was follow the comics as closely as possible whenever possible, they're a literal road map of successes and failures. As far as adapting them to film as was pointed out in this clip, Plot, already done, add to as needed. Dialogue, already done, add to as needed. Storyboarding, already done, add to as needed. I think Tyrone is spot on with his guess, this movie's production began in the heart of their full-on identity politics above all else direction. Now, they're trying to graft a fun comic action movie on top of the skeleton of the identity poltics film they already made. With Blade, they could just shut down production like they did, but they've invested too much into this movie and not just in the financial sense. I'm looking forward to watching it crash and burn. Honestly, I'll be disappointed if it doesn't, but that's all the investment I feel towards it.
Tyrone is right. This movie was announced quickly after Falcon and the Winter Soldier iirc, right when they were starting going heavy with the woke nonsense in Phase 4.
The trailer is so bizarre. You see these scenes with the falcon in these gritty-ish grounded-ish fight scenes and all political stuff and then it suddenly switches to CGI red hulk throwing people into the CGI White House. The tones are so different. It’s insane. If they just stuck to the gritty side of it, it wouldn’t be amazing but it might be decent and definitely cheaper.
My understanding is that the Falcon's superpower was a telepathic connection with an actual bird. Marvel took the bird out and left the wing suit, then dumped "Captain America" on him like hand-me-down clothes.
Everything went bad when Disney bought marvel. They had too many movies in the pipeline to make big changes, and they had a roadmap to endgame, after that Disney could do what they wanted and drove it into the ground. It’s basically what happened to game of thrones after they went through all the published novels
When your new iteration of Captain America has historically proven that he cannot fight for shit (Granted he tried to go hand to hand with Frank Grillo of all people) that’s just not a very compelling hero, which is a shame because other than that Anthony Mackie is great as Falcon, they should’ve made Bucky take up the shield
In the comics, only Hawkeye could pick up the shield and master the ricochet. Even Cap-Falcon had to run and pick up his shield after each throw back when he started.
They've chosen Red Hulk like Captain America has a lack of villains, there are tens of Cap villains they could've gotten for Sam, instead they got the stupid flag smasher and Red Hulk Let's also say Sam never took the serum in the comics, the serum should have been that thing that is only preserved for Cap and Bucky
Ok. Hear me out on this. Falcon dies in the first few minutes of the movie saving Bucky, somehow. Then Bucky, in a double "I owe them" state becomes slightly angsty, no holds bared, Caption America for truel modern audiences. He isn't enough with the super serum, so he takes some gamma, ultra light that let's him fight Red Hulk with his logic and rage at what has been laid on his shoulders. Boom. A new, liked, lead to set up excitement for RDJ, recycled.
It seems so stupid not to have Bucky in this one. Why is he randomly in Thunderbolts instead? I keep seeing access media headlines saying that Bucky's absence is a "good thing" and "makes sense"- which tells you they know they messed up, lol.
It's such a clear example of everything wrong with Marvel post Endgame. Endless reshoots after any bad screening, characters no one cares about, actors utterly phoning it in for the paycheck.
Endgame was the end of the saga for me, having watched it since Iron Man came out. The Spiderman films that came out after are the only ones worth a damn after that. The rest is 10 years of actual re-treaded garbage trying to recapture the magic
The BIGGEST problem is Sam Wilson as Captain America. It should have been Bucky Barnes. Going woke with Falcon was a HUGE mistake. He just doesn't have the gravitas (neither as a character or as an actor).
@@curtiszilla9192 Bucky was trained as an assassin, but managed to break free from his conditioning. Previously, in WWII, he was part of Captain America's team and was Cap's best friend. He has been redeemed (a redemption arc in the various Captain America and Avengers films). Black Widow was an assassin but was still Avengers material and her little sister followed her; all it took was breaking the conditioning. Meanwhile, Falcon was just a fairly normal soldier with a pair of mechanical wings. They might as well have taken ANY ex-soldier who helped against Hydra (which Falcon had to be persuaded to do) and make them the next Captain America.
In every movie appearance including Ang Lee's Hulk , General Thunderbolt Ross has always had his character-accurate mustache. Why the fuck can't Harrison Ford grow, or wear a damn mustache for this role? It's so lazy and bullshit. We all know he doesn't care. Not rocking the mustache really proves it.
It's almost as though they needed to get some writers involved who knew the characters and enjoyed using the source material with respect. - Disney Corp, 20 years from now.
The only way this works, imho, is if Falcon gets his ass handed to him, realizes he's not cut out to be Captain America, and gives the shield/title to The Winter Soldier. That, of course, will never happen.
A relatable hero is one that goes through the ringer and still stands back up. They need to suffer loss, experience trauma, see the best and worst of people and add on everything else that shapes them as a person. You need to see them happy and than you need to see how they react when it's snatched away. After all the only difference between a hero and a villain is that a villain will stop at nothing to achieve what they want, while a hero won't. There's a rigid set of rules and morals they set on themselves and will not go against them. They need to be constantly tested on the values they stand on, Frodo and the ring. If you have a hero who refuses to kill, having a villain who will tie him up and slit a friends neck in front of them is good story telling, as long as we see him swaying and thinking whether his values are worth it. Does he stick to that value or drop it? A hero is a mere step from evil at any time, some will buckle at times and need someone to pick them up. Writing a story is about putting your hero through their own version of hell and asking them at the end? Well, do you still want to be a hero?
The worst part is that this isn't new to superhero movies. The Spider-Man Sam Raimi trilogy and even No Way Home tackled these themes. They have tons of successful projects to look at where they're going wrong and how to do it right. Yet they just keep making mistakes.
I'll forgive that infamous FATWS scene if we get a scene where Deadpool roasts Sam Wilson on the "You gotta do better, Senator!" line in front of everybody in the next Avengers movie.
I think that scene was the actual moment the MCU became an inert mass in my mind. It was so cringe, and so bad, so written by a 20 year old moron that thinks hardship is Starbucks running out of whip cream, I was done lol. Senator is like "right, I know, do you have a suggestion" and then Sam just flys off... Disney, go away now.
The thing they said about Marvel not wanting to have characters get better or overcome stuff is spot on. That was very clear with Echo. She cant speak and has a prosthetic leg. Not once was that a disadvantage on the show. Compare that to how they handled Matt Murdock becoming partially deaf on top of being blind on season 3 of Daredevil.

Could you imagine, a modern day spider-man adaptation. Which deals with his origin and school years. Where peters internal monologue or dialogue in response to an embarassing or socially awkward situation. Even scenes where he gets bullied socially. Is to literally openly think or state, that the people around him being socially domineering are incredibly inferior and DUMB as compared to him and; that he could crush them all with his bare hands, were it not for uncle bens parting wisdom about responsibility?
What if they made the best movie they can instead of testing consumer response to product?
You mean, a comic?

For years I've been saying to friends that all the MCU had to do was follow the comics as closely as possible whenever possible, they're a literal road map of successes and failures.
As far as adapting them to film as was pointed out in this clip,
Plot, already done, add to as needed.
It's a good bet that they're shoehorning Mark Ruffalo in the 11th hour to play the Green Hulk to save the day at the last minute.
My understanding is that the Falcon's superpower was a telepathic connection with an actual bird. Marvel took the bird out and left the wing suit, then dumped "Captain America" on him like hand-me-down clothes.
Captain Falcon and Blade have all of that in common and both films are DBA(Dead Before Arrival).
Everything went bad when Disney bought marvel. They had too many movies in the pipeline to make big changes, and they had a roadmap to endgame, after that Disney could do what they wanted and drove it into the ground.
It’s basically what happened to game of thrones after they went through all the published novels
Red Hulk is only in the film for like 10 minutes
I wouldn't doubt what you see in the trailer is 90% of his screen time lol
@breach005 most likely, this movie is gonna completely bomb and won't get another Falcon movie

In the comics, only Hawkeye could pick up the shield and master the ricochet. Even Cap-Falcon had to run and pick up his shield after each throw back when he started.
Oh snap! I just started watching Tyrone Magus's videos! Small world, I'd never thought he would be in there group!
They've chosen Red Hulk like Captain America has a lack of villains, there are tens of Cap villains they could've gotten for Sam, instead they got the stupid flag smasher and Red Hulk
Let's also say Sam never took the serum in the comics, the serum should have been that thing that is only preserved for Cap and Bucky
They should've done with the Serpent Society. Would make sense and also play into both Falcon and the Society being animal-based.
This team-up is pure gold!
Yup, I "liked" and replied, and liked my own reply. Bite me, it's a good idea.
You rock; me.
Dude, fck recycled RDJ!
Besides of everything...They should have stopped at Endgame. Waited a couple of years and started with new characters/actors.
Endgame was the end of the saga for me, having watched it since Iron Man came out. The Spiderman films that came out after are the only ones worth a damn after that. The rest is 10 years of actual re-treaded garbage trying to recapture the magic
At this point, Anthony Mackie should just put the shield down, take the money he has earned and just walk away. Holy 💩!
The BIGGEST problem is Sam Wilson as Captain America. It should have been Bucky Barnes. Going woke with Falcon was a HUGE mistake. He just doesn't have the gravitas (neither as a character or as an actor).
Bruh Bucky is an Assassin. Captain America is a protector. Sam was the better choice because he was also a protector.
Still can’t over Disparu looking like his arm on the table, 3D af
lol.
I was *not* expecting to see Tyrone Magnus when I clicked on this, but I'm here for it!
11:20 nailed it. but I'd add the fact that they are also dumb.
She's might just be the most humble Miss.modelo.DIGITAL and heartwarming person to exist🌹
I'll forgive that infamous FATWS scene if we get a scene where Deadpool roasts Sam Wilson on the "You gotta do better, Senator!" line in front of everybody in the next Avengers movie.
That line is terrible but the "don't call them terrorist" is worst. He even says it twice.
Captain Falcon: We Have No idea
Coming soon.
Disparu and that body below him is tripping me out- especially when he puts his left arm in the shot!
They're so focused on trying to please every single demographic that pushes them to create these monstrosities.
