We planned to use our 170 ext as a mobile " ski lodge " from the beginning, so getting the AWD was a no brainer. The higher clearance is certainly a bonus.
The clearance is a huge bonus!
@@SaraandAlexJames We have the Agile Offroad rear leaf spring kit - the 6000 lb. version, and there is certainly no sagging in the rear. And the Falcon 2.1 Monotube rear shocks too. Our main use is boondocking on dirt roads on BLM / Forest Service land - another reason having it lifted is helpful. Although you should have seen my wife's face when I drove it into the driveway after picking it up from the builder - she didn't realize how tall it was going to be!
Super helpful info! Thanks for including a bunch of stuff I never would have even thought of! Happy trails!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the I didn't really think about...yet, but is good to know information moving forward. 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Nicely articulated info.
To further increase off roadability, What about the inclusion of diff lock for the rear wheel drive Sprinter?
Is there an option available?
Great video, as always with CC Vans!
Thank you!
excellent video as usual. question; if you add an aftermarket lift kit on a new van, are you voiding the warranty?
I would like to know the comparison between an all-wheel-drive Sprinter or the original four-wheel drive that they quit making in 2022🎉 I have one of those 170 high top 4 x 4
One thing you didn't mention is difference in GCWR and mileage. I assume AWD adds weight and lower MPG?
It’s actually the same. Doesn’t differ between the two very much
Haha wild, in 1:19 is footage of our old fiat Ducato in the snow. It hauled ass with a whooping 69hp and front wheel drive 🔥
What about gas mileage, I would assume the 2w gets much better gas mileage?
Thanks for the info. What colour is that van? Is it a factory colour?
Silver Gray
So you need to mention the cost of an lift suspension upgrade on rear drive van vs the 4 wheel version that has it , the 7 k difference is not real
Great point! We use the Van compass lift kit which is $2700 + install
If u going to spent 150k. 7k option is nothing.
