What a great, informative, and well executed tutorial. Everything laid out, procedure explained to the last detail. I for one really appreciate your contribution to those of us who restore these jems. Thank You! David

I have the Cub 102 and am going to take the steering column out. I have the steering wheel off. Do you have any tips that I should follow to remove the column. There is a lot of "play" in the steering wheel. This is a great video on how the gear works. Thanks.

There are only a few bolts that hold it on. The bolts are on the steering gear box.

Where did you source your parts I need to do this and I’m looking for the tube?

Well Done. Whats the source and part numbers for the bushing and bearing you used to modify the box.

I do not have the part numbers but I bought the parts from ebay. I just measured the steering shaft and pitman arm shaft diameter for the bushing and bearing.

How tight is that end cap supposed to be? I tightened mine up a bit to tighten up the steering but don’t want to hurt it. Tightened it as tight as possible with my hand and a screwdriver

I don't think there's torque spec at least that I know of. I just tightened it until there was some resistance on the steering wheel. You definitely don't want to make it super tight.

@@therenaissanceman5311 when I tightened it it was very loose. About 2 spaces loose. I think it’s fine nothing is binding up. But it’s much more tighter.

@@therenaissanceman5311 And yeah I just used a screwdriver and tightened it tight enough to reach the hole for the pin. Tightened as tight as possible by hand.
