I really enjoy what you are doing. I just turned 71 and am getting ready to hit the road, and now i can do my bed platform with confidence. Thanks so much!
I'd say you have this down to a science; impressive, and still doable for the average person! This set up is awesome. I want one and I don't own a four runner! Do you ship truck builds?
Awesome design. Only thing I don't get is why make the box only 41" wide when there's 44" between the wheel wells on the 5th gen? Is it so the same box will fit both the 4th and 5th (since the 4th only has 41")? If so that's nice to know for anyone with a 4th gen who might get a 5th in the future, as they could just transfer the box over.
To make it that wide you would need to put an angle on the the sides and it nearly impossible to make an angled drawer side. Also the drawers need to be within the cargo trunk rim to open and not stratch the sides.
Yes indeed, as you answered in your video ruclips.net/video/nEryStRQhy4/видео.html. Been really enjoying your videos and know-how. Mine is an '05 4th Gen, V6 still purrs like a kitten.
Just came across your channel and really enjoying the content. Subscribed as well. One question, when you do a truck bed build, are you attaching the cabinets to the bottom or the sides of the truck bed in some way or do they just sit there?
Question?? Not sure if you have seen the yoho 4 runner bed setup. But is this something you can make & improve on reason for asking is they have screwed me & many others who have made purchases from them . I ordered mine 2/1/22 still nothing no response. If this is a direction you would consider I would like to purchase & im sure there would be many others!!
Is there a work around option for the 5th gen that has a sliding tray in the back already? Would like to unvest in this setup but have a tray installed. The website said it is a no go, but curious if there is an option.
Question on the drawers, i took out the foam in the back of my 5th get 4runner a while back to build my own sleeping platform with a little storage accessible using hinges. I was wondering if I need that foam for these drawers to sit on top of or do the drawers rest on the side plastic rail pieces by the wheel wells? I don't have the foam anymore, got rid of it when I build my platform.

Bruh this is amazing. Saving up to buy a kit. We are moving to Washington and this will be killer.

I have a tacoma setup coming out soon that will be a precut kit also
omg I love this. this is what I am looking for!
Awesome video!! I have a question. When you use those L-Brackets up against the back seats, can you still fold them up and have people sit back there?
Yes!
Do you put back the middle section that you took out? Thanks

how does the instal different for the version purchased for the 4runner with the 2nd row seats removed ?
Same install of the drawer system, but the bed install is different. We sell brackets to attach once you remove the 2nd row seats
@@SolidWoodWorx I ordered the version that said “no 2nd row seat” so will it have the brackets with it?
are the back seats functional without the full bed mode .
could you put the seats to use with only the drawer system installed ?
Yes you can!
@@SolidWoodWorx Does this mean that, with the bed boards folded back atop the drawers, you can then raise the 2nd row seats into usable position?
Yes indeed, as you answered in your video ruclips.net/video/nEryStRQhy4/видео.html. Been really enjoying your videos and know-how. Mine is an '05 4th Gen, V6 still purrs like a kitten.
How heavy are these drawer system without the bed support? About 100lbs?
Yes
Awesome!

Usually have a few bolts into the bolts and the sides yes!

Hello Eddie, that is a very interesting setup just looked into it. But i do not have any desire to make that im sorry.
@@SolidWoodWorx thank you so much for your time & response I appreciate it!
Any possibility of a Tacoma pre-built kit?
Yes send me an email so i can let you know when there ready. solidwoodworx@gmail.com
why do you use 3/4" plywood for the drawers? 1/2 " would be much lighter
I only use 3/4” for the drawer front and side jams
Do you sell this kits for 5th gen SR5 5runners with a 3rd row seats?
I do not unfortunately

The kit fits with the tray removed

Yes you would need the foam or would need to build the area up where the foam was to make it level for the drawers.
🙏👏👍💪
I have an F150 6.5 ft bed that I installed a plywood floor into. I wonder how well one of your precut kits would fit into it?
