It does seem that Titan is picking up the slack and are publishing Conan novels again, but they have YA-ish covers and do seem to be connected in some kind of event….doesn’t sound particularly interesting to me so I haven’t checked them out. They also publish short stories as individual ebooks, which seems a bit 2012, I guess they’ll collect them at some point.
@@ellesse3862oh that’s good to know, and yeah I did read the Hocking novel, good s&s not very convincing as Conan! What did you think of these new covers? They bring to mind cartoon network or something like that (samurai jack?), a shame they didn’t do covers like the old Tor paperbacks!
@@konstantinos-6-6-6-8 You didn't think Hocking's Conan was convincing, oh, I think its one of the better Conans. I wonder what our Cimmarian September hosts will think of it. Hrm the stylised covers for the new Conan books City of the Dead & Cult of the Obsidian Moon, I don't know your pop culture reference well enough, Tor-like painted covers would be glorious. I think the stylised silhouette design is eye catching, its not a bad look, not what I expected, not sure how much milage you can get out of it. Its a condenced and simplified piece of graphic communication, its modern and prehistoric in essence. I don't dislike it. What is odd is that Blood of the Serpent doesn't have that style cover.
Enjoying Conan City of the Dead, contains one old novel Conan and the Emerald Lotus and newly written sequel Conan and the Living Plague.

Only the upcoming novel Cult of the Obsidian Moon is event related. Conan : City of the Dead is worth checking out.
