      Kim!!! The love for Eco Fresh Bouquet wraps is so real. We love them! And, they changed our life in the retail part of our shop. Colonial House of Flowers has become famous and the go-to for hand held bouquets. And, that is all credit to you! Thank you for everything. I am so glad you joined the Mayesh Design Star Flower Workshop tour and we can tell everyone about these amazing things!!!

    This is gorgeous! I would love to see how you started the arbor - how is the greenery staying on??

    • @christygriner
      @christygriner 6 лет назад +1

      it stays in the arbor with chicken or turkey wire or floral wire -- never falls out... make in studio and transport... over and over.. :)

    Will you you share a picture of what the arbor looked like BEFORE you designed on it? That would be so helpful. Did you cover it in chicken wire and if so how? Wound around and around......?

      Yes! We usually wrap it with chicken or turkey wire! but now always.

    I cannot afford the foam in cages and looking for an alternative. I'm using hydrangeas so feel i need a water source. Thinking if i wrap the foam (the blocks are affordable) in chicken wire and zip tie to arbor???

    Smilax is similar to wild clematis....which is abundant in NC......growing wild and free..... literally!

    Hi Christy @ChristyHusey ..... I dont suppose you might know iof and where I could buy Smilex in Australia??? It never seems to be on any of my wholesalers lists here OR unless its called something else in Australia (that sometimes happens with other foliages). If you could help in anyway that would be very much appreciated. Thanks Nyree

    As a florist, pricing is the hardest thing for me. How would you price this for a bride?

    • @christygriner
      @christygriner 7 лет назад

      Some times it's easier for us to price backward. Like give a price and then only use what you priced. Does that make sense? Typically the price is the product, plus mark up, plus materials, plus labor. Then installation is billed on top of the cost of the item. Xx! What's the name of your shop? Where are you located? Would love to check it out!

      Thank you! I think for me, the hardest part is pricing labor and people where I live tend to have sticker shock syndrome. I always feel I under price myself. That would be amazing! I'd feel so honored. I love watching you and your gorgeous creations. My company is Cara Cait Creative. Website is under construction but my Instagram is @caracaitcreate, also on Facebook. Thanks again! Xo

      We love to use smilax! My 15 year old son helps me spot it in the woods. I didn't know you could buy it. It was traditionally used in the south to decorate around front doors, etc...at Christmas time because it lasts so well out of water. Fun fact I'm sure you knew :). Love your videos!

    what i the seasonality of Smilax?

    • @Mayesh
      @Mayesh  7 лет назад +2

      Hi Shay - Southern Smilax will be back in season by mid June this year. Typically it is available year round with the exception of the following months:
      April - spotty availability
      May and June - absolutely not available
      July - spotty availability
      So basically August-March is good - with a slight chance of getting some in April and July. Hope this helps!
