I’m thinking TWolves in 6, and picked them before the game too. The defense is just so overwhelming and Ant will legit average 30+ this series. He’ll go at Murray with his injury and probably get MPJ on him a lot too. Just need some contributions from KAT, McDaniels, and Reid offensively. Last game he got it from Reid and KAT.
Gobert is shutting down the paint. Jokic got his but he worked for it and turned the ball over a ton.

I think this series comes down to Jamal Murray. If he’s healthy and plays like he did last year in the playoffs it opens up a lot offensively for Denver. Don’t think Minnesota will be able to stop them if he does.

Really surprised how the Mavs are still flying so much under the radar. They played horribly offensively against the clippers the whole series and still won quite easily. On top of that, OKC are a much better matchup for the Mavs on paper than the clippers, Chet and Giddey are both defensive liabilties in that series that especially Luka can exploit. I also strongly disagree that chet is a better rim protector than Zubac, a better help defender on drives sure, but he will get absolutely phisically destroyed by both Lively and Gafford. The Mavs also have the best defenders left in the playoffs for SGA and Williams, i think the Mavs should be the clear favorite by some margin.

I think the Nuggets still win this series, but lose to Dallas in the WCF... but who knows... both the OKC vs Mavs and Wolves vs Nuggets series are probably going 6 or 7 and it's hard to predict because all 4 teams are very legit.

to be fair philly did win his minutes pretty substantily vs the knicks. their second unit got destroyed tho. embiid was +7 in the series in the time he played over all games and had a positive plus minus in every game but the last. even with him clearly being injured and not 100% he still dominated the knicks. they just lost the minutes without him super hard. but anyway i dont think he will ever be 100% for an entire post season so it rob doesnt matter, he wont ever win anything there.
The nuggets' biggest weakness against this t'wolves team is their defense and t'wolves' biggest weakness against this nuggets team is their offense. We're definitely in for a long series, this series definitely might go to 7.

As a nuggets fan we weren’t trolling last year when we said Minnesota was gonna be nice. Ant is a rising star obviously and most of all we don’t have a clear matchup for him nor anyone with his athleticism. Peyton Watson is probably the closest to matching him but he’s a liability on offense. Also the elephant in the room is Jamal Murray’s health. Clearly he isn’t moving the same as he’s been pretty inefficient in the playoffs. MPJ has been fantastic but idk if he can carry this offense with his lack of on ball creation especially with the wolves great perimeter defense. This series falls on Jokic. He has to be the best player in the series and it can’t be close. Game 1 goes to Ant but he has to be so dominant that he causes an adjustment from the wolves

The lack of paint presence and rim protection from Denver IS the biggest weakness they have against this wolves team from game1 imo
its so frustrating how well murray plays against the lakers. especially in the clutch, he single handedly buried us. anthony edwards is my favourite young player to watch by far.
I think the Nuggets can win in 6 against the Wolves and I still think the Mavericks can defeat the Thunder 6 or 7.

Of any player in the league, Ant is probably the one I would want the most to guard Murray out of the game, not only can Murray not guard him but Ant is relentless and will hunt him down at all times including the clutch, add to that Gobert on Jokic preventing him as best as any other player in the league could causing 7 turnovers by Jokic, I could see the Timberwolves taking this series, although I still think Denver wins but after that game 1 win on the road for the Timberwolves, it just got a whole lot more competitive.

The Wolves will probably win and overwhelm the Nuggets and after that the title is theirs. Depending on the outcome of Orlando at Cleveland if Orlando wins they will exhaust the Celtics with their suffocating defense which will tire them out if they make it to the conference finals
