Hi Eliza! Hmmm I wish my friends lived closer! Ah! If you're looking for other videos, you should check my friend Beth Debayle's video if you haven't already. She did a great video about the attractions role!
Thank you SO much for this video! :) I just recently got accepted for the DCP for Spring 2017 and my role will be merchandise! This really helped me get an insight on what the role will be like, so again thank you! :)
Merchandise sounds like an amazing role! I can't wait until I can do the DCP!! I've been researching it since I was in 6th grade. Two more years till college! :D
I'm hoping to do the CRP programming, which I can apply to next year!, and while I know it's obviously a bit different to what you explained it was super helpful!
Thanks so much for this video! I am starting merchandise in the fall for DCP! Could you tell me on average how many hours you guys worked per week? Thanks so much
Are you down there now? :) i'm asking because i'm going for my first time in 6 days ! if i saw you i'd say hello! :) I love your vlogs about Disney! you're making me super exciteddd!! :D
This question totally doesn't relate to your video, but do you have any videos about housing? Does Disney assign housemates or do you find them before the program starts? If you find them, then how? I applied for the DCP the other day and even though I've accepted how slim a chance it is to get in, I'd love some advice just in case. : )
No problem! Yeah I have a Chatham Square Apartment Tour ruclips.net/video/4RMZKjzzq10/видео.html and a Chatham Square Complex Tour ruclips.net/video/4FX4n63LFiY/видео.html :) Disney will automatically assign you roommates unless you request them like I did. I found my roommates through facebook. Around application time facebook groups will start popping up on facebook where you can find roommates
Olivia, I have heard rumors that you have to buy your Uniform/Outfits for work, Is this true? How did it work for you picking up shifts? Can you explain the whole uniform thing to me? :)
Hey Lewis! No, you do not have to buy your uniforms. You just check them in and out. There is a website called the Hub where you can pick up shifts. You put in the time you are interested in working, and based on your training, it will tell you which shift are available. With uniforms, you just go to costuming, and if you don't know what costume to wear they have people there that are more than happy to help you. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have more questions!!
Hi Lewis! Gloria gave a great response but just to add on to what she said: the only part of your costume you might have to buy is your shoes, which I bought at costuming. You can pick up shift through through the Hub, but I also found shifts through a facebook page with cast members from across WDW. Then we would shifts through the Hub
Hi Analice! I'm not going to do videos on other roles because I dont think I know enough but there are some other great videos out there about the other roles. My friend Beth DeBayle made a great video about the attractions role if you havent seen it
HI Marcie! Gloria gave a great response, but basically it really depends on your location. What Gloria said was normal but if you work in the parks, especially Magic Kingdom, then you're more likely to get longer hours
Hi Krys! Gloria gave a great answer but I just wanted to say that your shift length really depends on your location. 6-8 is pretty normal but if you work in the parks, especially in Magic Kingdom, you're more likely to work longer hours
Thank you for this! I have my phone interview tomorrow night and merch is one of my top roles
You should do this... for other roles as well. Have friends from other roles in your videos & go more in depth about what is done. I'd like to know.

I'm hoping to do the CRP programming, which I can apply to next year!, and while I know it's obviously a bit different to what you explained it was super helpful!
Hi Ellie! I really hope you can do the CRP! A lot of your responsibilities would be the same (well unless you work at the Rose and Crown haha)
I love you guys so much 😂
We love you too!
I can't wait til I am old enough to do the dcp!!
Hi Sarah! You're gonna love it!!!
Thanks for sharing your experience Olivia
Hi Jimmy! Of course! :)
Thanks so much for this video! I am starting merchandise in the fall for DCP! Could you tell me on average how many hours you guys worked per week? Thanks so much
Hi Kaylah! Of course! I'm glad we could help
Are you down there now? :) i'm asking because i'm going for my first time in 6 days ! if i saw you i'd say hello! :) I love your vlogs about Disney! you're making me super exciteddd!! :D
Hi Alison! I'm sorry! I was down there at the end of July! I hope you have an absolute blast down there! And thank you so much!

I really hope you do! It's the BEST role!
I just left food and wine last week I miss it
Hi Alyssia! Post Food and Wine Depression (PFWD) is a REAL thing!
Hi, I will work in merchandise also ! Your video is so useful for me. Btw, do I need to bring some formal suits or outfit ? 🙈
When you pick up shifts how do you get the costumes for it?

Hey great video. Do you get individual sales targets in your role in merchandise?
Thank you Ben! Nope :)
so do guys rotate positions every couple of hours like attractions does?
I got merch for Fall 2017. What kind of shoes did you have to wear?

do you have to buy your shoes directly from costuming or can I wear lets say...all black vans
Loved this video!! Any chances you could do the same for other roles?

Yes I have! Thank you anyways ;)
If you have a closing merchandise shift in Disney springs about how long would you be working until?
I usually would only work until midnight or 12:30pm :)
If you could give an average amount of hours per work day, what would it be? Thanks!
Hey Marcie! For me, my average during slow season was 6-8 hours and 8-10 during peak season. I did work a 14-hour shift once.
HI Marcie! Gloria gave a great response, but basically it really depends on your location. What Gloria said was normal but if you work in the parks, especially Magic Kingdom, then you're more likely to get longer hours
How long is the average shift?
Hey Krys! During slow season, my shifts ranged from 6-8 hours. During busy season, my shifts ranged 8-10 hours. My longest shift was 14 hours though.
