    The reason for that low 5th wheel number of 12,400 on the F350 is if you look at the other footnote #3 it says that it’s for optional 10k GVWR. Which some people opt to de-rate their trucks for tax, registration, & DOT purposes.

    F250 and F350 tremor packaged trucks with high capacity tow package are essentially the same truck. What’s the difference? The badge on the fender, the sticker in the door jamb, and how much you pay in taxes and insurance. All 4wd F250 and F350 SRW trucks with factory 5th wheel prep package from 2019 model year and up also have the same front and rear axle ( big bearing, differential carrier, axle shaft diameter and spline count). My 2021 F250 tremor has same rear suspension and axle as my 2019 did with 5th wheel prep package. Same part numbers.

      There isn’t a difference spec wise it’s just how they badge them I have a 250 tremor and a 17 250 standard both 6.7 and the tremor handles a load significantly better.

    I have a tremor 6.7 and conventional towing this is from Ford and from my sticker is 18,000 lbs and it does so with zero issues or squat in fact it does it better than the standard 250 because it has the 350 leaf and rear end. Talked to dot and they said 18000 and under I’m good as long as I don’t go over my payload. So I don’t get it.

    • @702probro9
      @702probro9 2 года назад +1

      You probably have the “high capacity towing package”. And you can tow 20,000 pounds with that package. And in 2022 the gcwr is 30,300 pounds over the truck without that package it’s gcwr is 23,500 pounds.

      @@702probro9 from what I’ve seen in All tremors with the diesel they have that package, the only ones who do not come with it standard are the 7.3 versions

    You forgot to talk about the “tremor” diesel with the “high capacity towing package” you actually can tow 20,000 pounds with it. With the “high capacity towing package” you get a upgraded rear axle and the 3” hitch.

    • @BigBoyToyzz
      @BigBoyToyzz  2 года назад

      Tremor 250 and Tremor 350 are exact same trucks to include axles and leaf springs. Both have DanaM275 axle and overload spring. You are right about the hitch though. The only other difference is the decal "250 or 350". This only applies to the trucks with the Tremor package. Normal 250 and 350 are different.

  • @trevormangus7832
    @trevormangus7832 3 года назад +6

    Great video but your forgetting the high capacity trailer tow option on the Tremor. And looking closely the weight rating difference is strictly due to the 18” all terrain tires All season 18’s and the 20” tires are the 5k difference. The suspension‘a are identical

    • @georgiafan6618
      @georgiafan6618 2 года назад

      You have the answer. I think the HC trailer tow option gives you thicker axles. When I swapped in wheels/tires on my truck, tire guy said to make sure they matched my truck’s GVWR. Many wheels were rated **much** lower! Guys had cracked wheels. The F250 comes w/35’s - so stay with 35’s. I use all terrains when I tow. I swap in ridge grapplers when I go off road. PS: blogs said 37’s and larger will eat min 40 RWHP. They look cool but weigh a lot.

      @BigBoyToyzz  3 года назад +1

    Just an fyi, u cannot get a tremor with the 3.31 gear ratio at least for 2022. I didn’t order one of the 21 year models so it may have been different. On the 2022 tremor 6.7 your only choice for gearing is the 3.55. That is what ford told me anyway

    • @freedomrider266

      You're right, 4.3 gears only (at least for gasser)....

  • @mattb4084

    What kind of fuel mileage do you get? I have a 6.2L and I'm getting about 15 on the freeway (75 mph) and about 12 in town empty. 3.73 gears. Just wondering if the 7.3 is fairly close to that. I think for a gas HD truck I would want a 4.30 gear ratio.
