why are there no sliding grates to make multiple level cooking - easier than trying to reach under grates......for what this grill cost - it definitely should be a feature
Gilbert Fireplaces & BBQ's Thanks for the video. It would be nice to see the shelves in there. How many racks can you get on the shelves? I may not want to cook directly over the fire pot. Thanks again. Best video I’ve seen of this grill in action. Twin Eagles should be making videos to promote an $8k grill!!
@@4wolverines Thanks for commenting, we appreciate you watching our tutorial! With the stainless steel heat deflector in the Twin Eagles Pellet Grill, you should be able cook directly over the fire pot with the same results! Four racks of ribs on the bottom shelf, two racks of ribs on the middle shelf, and one rack of ribs on the top shelf.
I bought one and have done four attempted cooks on it. Don’t waste your money! The app doesn’t work, it loses temperature randomly, and the hopper is so small that you only get about 6 hours cook time. I am beyond disappointed with this “pellet grill”, especially considering what I paid for it. To rub salt in the wound, the company makes it an act of congress to get in touch with them.
Do you also have problems with ash blowing up onto the grill area? I do but after about 20 hrs of cooking and adding metal inserts on each side to slow the upward flow of air, the ash seems to be getting less.
I wonder how well that super smoke mode works? Wondering if this puts any more smoke flavor in than the other pellet grills or of it's pretty comparable.
Hi Matthew! We LOVE the Smoke Plus feature. The regular SMOKE produces a moderate amount of smoke and with the Smoke Plus it uses a reduced fan speed to increase the smoke production and allow for more natural wood flavor. When using the regular smoke feature it is definitely comparable to other pellet grills and using the Smoke Plus feature it will produce more smoke than your traditional pellet grill.
@@GilbertFireplacesBBQs Thanks, really appreciate the info, really hard to find info on this pellet grill. Do you know how long it takes to get to searing temps, say the 700+ range? Interested in how long it takes compared to a gas grill (really considering if this truly can replace a good gas grill and also have all the extras).
I got a follow up question on this. Can the charcoal insert be used in low and slow to produce more smoke? While I haven’t used this pellet grill, I always found pellet grills don’t always cut it for me for smoke flavor in pork shoulders. I end up using some mods to accomplish this. I was thinking that some lump charcoal could be used in the insert with maybe some wood chips. And that way I can get that smoke flavor for the 1st 3 hours of the cook and then have the pellet grill take over for maintaining temps for overnight cooks. Thoughts?
@@RMPANDA964 On this pellet grill when using Charcoal mode the lid has to be left open so low and slow isn't really an option. The SMOKE PLUS feature using the pellets would be the best option for producing more smoke. Additionally, to produce more smoke you could also use smoker tube or box.
Hi Gene! When switching types of pellets to cook, or to empty the pellets you can purge the pellet hopper using the “PELLET AUGER” button in the “SETTINGS” menu.

@@M4ttNet Great question! It is super comparable to a gas grill. It will take about 20 minutes to reach a searing temp of 700*
