Another caution with this grill… I was cooking on it recently and it began to rain. Although I had the red plugs in the meat probe holes, somehow water got into one of the probe receptacles, and triggered a high temp reading, causing the grill to shut down and go into a warming mode. I am investigating a way to prevent this, short of having to build a patio cover over the grill, but that might be cheaper than the grill itself, ha.
Even on the smoke plus setting, this grill most certainly does not produce more smoke than a GMG or traeger grill. If it’s good smoke you are looking for with this grill, get a smoke tube, or better yet, use a charcoal grill with wood chunks, or a stick burner. However, this grill seems to be very well made and is beautiful.
Not a pro or competitive griller here, just an average dad with a Twin Eagles. I followed your video on Labor Day today, and came out with a tasty, fall-off-the-bone rack of ribs. Thank you :)
That is great to hear! We love to highlight that we are not professional cooks either but with the right equipment it makes it easy to produce a great result every time! Glad that your Twin Eagles is performing as it should, Happy Grilling!
dang, those are some great lookin' ribs! havent done dino ribs in awhile need to do it asap! like the channel- im down for some fireplaces and bbq! just subscribed. cheers
That looks awesome! For those of you that own a Twin Eagles pellet grill, do you have any trouble with keeping a constant temperature when cooking? Sometimes the pellets in mine clog and other times it just losses about 50 degrees of temp for no reason. I haven’t been able to cook anything over 2 hrs without having a problem. I’ve been trying different pellets to no avail. What pellets are y’all using?
Yes, I see this grill tends to have more temperature variability than my big GMG pellet grill or my traeger grill. But the bigger issue I have is that I get a lot of ash blowing up into the cook chamber. TE reps have no solution for this, other than “it should reduce with time but will not go away totally”. And I do use all hardwood pellets that are advertised as low ash. I am experimenting with inserts along the edges of the grills to slow the upward air flow a bit and maybe reduce the ash.
Great video and those Dino ribs looks amazing - and of course, big thanks for using the Texas Boost ♥️♥️♥️
Our pleasure! We love that Texas Boost!

is the twin eagles pellet grill durable? How many years can you expect it to last?

TE has provided a software update in March ‘24 that seems to produce more smoke. Good update.

Just ordered the TE Pellet grill. Curious if you’ve continued to have problems? Any resolution? TE support helpful at all?
