  • Hello and welcome to the garden railway update.
The railway survived the winter and this is the first proper running session of the year, over the May bank holiday.
Don’t forget to vote on the poll for the next gala.
    Thanks
    Dan

Nice! Enjoyed it very much. I wonder if the birds in your backyard nest in those structures in the winter when your trains are "dormant".🤔

    Hi ya Dan.
Absolutely brilliant buddy. Love your garden layout.
I've informed the police they are in the process of trying to track that pigeon that broke you're crossing gates. Said they have a good lead.🐦
Superb assortment of steam and deisels. Enjoyed every minute.
Said to Su can I have a garden layout, hey Dan she swore at me.☹
Sounds like those pigeons are waiting for you to go in though.
Thanks Dan. Real pleasure to watch.
    Stay safe buddy.

For the turntable rather than slide the fishplates on and off, I suggest you fit contacts at the perimeter wall of the turntable and contacts on the turntable itself. Then once the turntable is in position, it is automatically powered. I'd be interested in hearing you talk more about the turntable as well, how you built it, how it's moved etc

Great video, I guess the sunny weather made it a pleasant experience to film, it was certainly a pleasure to watch :)
How wide is the running surface on the 2 track sections & at the station, and how high from ground-level is it?

And what gauge did my son and I use? 00, of course!! It’s the smallest size I could model a railway in because of being an older father.

Is the Pannier Tank a Rapido locomotive? You certainly have some lovely models on your garden layout!!

What a gorgeous garden railway!! Which gauge are you using? My own small garden layout is a Mamod train set complete with an oval of track.

    • @dansmodelrailways7886
      @dansmodelrailways7886  5 месяцев назад

OO gauge, its linked to my main layout through the garage wall.

A ‘Hush-Hush’ would NEVER have hauled suburban carriages!! It was an express locomotive that required carriages with gangways.
