akmu might not be popular international but in korea THEY ARE SUPER POPULAR . you can hear their song everywhere on the streets , people all age adores them etc . thank you for reacting to akmu :) i hope many international fans will starts to listen to their song now 💕

I went to see AKMU in concert last month - they sang live the whole time and sounded pretty much exactly as they do here, which was a nice surprise.
!!!!!! I AM SO INCREDIBLY JEALOUS AAAHHHH. They're the #1 group I want to see live haha
They had some hilarious intermission breaks where they parodied dramas and their energy was great. The venue in Busan wasn't sold out and it was fairly small, but all the people who were there seemed to really be into them. At one point Suhyun even asked us "Do you even know my brother's name?"
She had a lot more fans than he did haha, but her voice really is amazing live!
aaaaaaa! that must've been fun! Suhyun sings great but I recently found out chan hyuk wrote and composed all their songs! that's some insane talent!

I appreciate that you listen to what is not so mainstream Kpop for international fans. AKMU isn't the most popular group but with your group exposed to them, they can appreciate what is often missed by many other reaction groups. I always feel like AKMU needed more love but they get all the recognition they deserve from all of you!

they are not famous in the international community but they are soooooo huge in SK and even months after their album is released, their songs are still played in TV programs, restaurants, and shops.
Their digital sales soar every time and their physical sales are on top. they really are huge locally.

lol Hugo always kills me with his appreciation for Soohyun's voice. I think people don't realize how enjoyable her voice can be. Personally I prefer mezzo-soprano voices like Lee Hi, but Soohyun is such a gem.
You can read 'Re-Bye' to R-E-BYE, then it means alibi!
Thus 'Re-Bye' has two meanings, re-bye; goodbye again and alibai!

About the style that you're confused about, I think its a kind of korean folk? At least that's what Yang Hyun Suk said about their music. He said he had no experience with folk music so he gave akmu complete musical control.

악뮤의 노래와 가사를 한글이 아니면 정확하게 표현하고 전달될 수 없어서, 더 많은 세계인이 즐기는데에 한계가 있는 것이 무척 안타까와요ㅜ

I love their sound so much! It's soft and sweet but doesn't go into bubblegum pop territory. and they are so musically talented. plus, I always love that 이성경 cameo in Re-Bye.

I have to share this with you. I was listening post rock, math rock and different rock styles before this and I entered Kpop world a few years ago (back then it was like a guilty pleasure, now everyone knows it's my jam). I knew it was a dead end road, once inside you can't go out, and was OK with that. After a while I started to avoid listening to new groups because I did not have time (like… hours at day) to listen more groups and fangirling about more groups…until this channel exploded in my face. A few months ago I knew that BTS exist but I had never heard they music, now I know all their names and I have Blood, Sweet and Tears as ringtone. And now, I feel the imperative need to go to watch all AKMU videos. I will do it. I will have not life, Kpop is going to be my ruin. I tell you.

I feel like AKMU is the little kid sibling group that just makes you smile and just brings general happiness. Love their music.
UMU, I (and a lot of people, I know) would love to see they reacting to hyukoh and Zion. Zion.t's new album is just amazing, his voice is so unique, "This song" from this album is so good, the music and the lyrics are so fun and the MV is so sweet, "eat" is good too, when I listed I got addicted and there's yanghwa brdg too, who is classic. Hyukoh is unique as ziont, I love Heather jacket, gondry, comes and goes and wi ing wi ing, there is walin too, is reeeeally good, hyuk sing in Chinese and the MV was filming in Mongolia, the instruments that they play are so strong in here. I hope you see this, I hope you like those and put they in the list, you may know they too, if you don't know PLEASE listen, you will love. do hyukoh and ziont compete in stages like other kpop groups? or are they not part of the kpop scene?
Em C I don't consider what they do kpop but in this comeback hyukoh did some stages in programs but I never saw ziont doing this. Zion is more about R&B and hip-hop and hyukoh have a unique style that i can't explain, they have a lot of influence from occidental's underground music. I don't know if they don't appear this much in those show bc they don't want or bc of the sales, maybe it's the two things.
