This is best way to make Teriyaki chicken sauce. Very simple. Many people over complicate ingredients and then its not turn out correct. One of most popular Teriyaki store in Seattle use Soy sauce, mirin and corn syrup.
could i do this with a chicken breast?? i'm currently trying to learn how to cook, so i'm not quite sure if i should be cook seperate parts of the chicken differently
Thank you for your question! Preferably chicken thigh for this, but you can use chicken breast by adjusting (likely increasing) the cooking time depending on how thick it is.
Thank you! Unfortunately, sake and mirin are two vital components for this recipe, so omitting them both are quite tricky. But I'm currently developing a recipe for teriyaki chicken without using sake and mirin, I will post it once I finish.
i wanna say thank you, because your videos especially the Tantanmen recipe video really helped me a lot! I got hooked after eating Tantanmen for the 1st time in this ramen shop i always frequented (2yrs+ ago i was not much a fan of any type of spicy food). In my case i used Bonito broth made from scratch as the broth for the Tantanmen (using bonito flakes that i have in my pantry + water) :) Truth be told i think i like the peanut butter version (which i find more nuttier in flavor as well! + more accessible as well) + you have earned a new subscriber as well!!!! + learned some new cooking technique in making chicken teriyaki as well :)
Hi! You're very welcome, I'm happy that my recipes and videos have helped you. I haven't tried tantanmen with bonito broth, but I think that makes it healthier/less salty than the chicken broth I usually use. I'll try it next time, thanks! I like the peanut butter too! Thank you for subscribing, I hope you enjoy my future videos! :)

Yeah, a nonstick pan that doesn’t chip, hahahaha… why do you idiots always have to try and point things out and inadvertently show your low self esteem and insecurities?
The pan might not be covered with teflon but be a stone pan and the metal spoon is obviously ysed smoothly with no contact with the bottom of the pan so whatcis the problem ?

If I make more of the sauce, can I plastic wrap it and keep it in the fridge for later?

Stop scraping your nonstick pan with a metal spoon ffs. 🤦🏻♂️

15 minutes? You sure they are cooked properly?
Cutting into it makes it cook faster. I do it that way in the grill, not thighs though, and brined.
Yeah. It'll cook in that time. No problem.
15 min when its that thin should be fine, but thighs are so forgiving a couple more min should be OK. Love this recipe and technique!
Very high sodium not healthy
That’s not true at all. Why does your country have an obesity problem but Japan doesn’t?😂
