Looking good bro, definitely compliments the new bumper 👍
Sweet. I thought it would be more steps to get them to work. All I need is someone with a soldering tool now.
You can buy tools for less than 20 bucks
Advice for everyone I'm a BMW tech and saudering is not recommended from BMW due to the resistance it adds. Can mess up the electrical system. BMW recommendeds crimps. I believe a lot of issues everyone is having is due to them saudering the wires.
Also you need to add a wire to pin hole #5 and splice to #6
Can I install the same facelift headlights on my pre facelift e91 where I now have xenon headlights with an adaptive so that everything works? What else do I need besides headlights? Thank you
Yeah I had a friend that did this, should work no problem. Worst case might need to code it other than that should be plug and play.
Hello,
The 3 side LED isn’t working. Do you inow what wire I need to make it work? Thank you
@jcbefree7325 what is the purpose of the additional wire for splicing pin hole 5 to pin hole 6 please?
No coding is bs, you will have to code
How do you code it?
@@hamediruni4935use carly or bimmercode for an example
Definitely a cleaner look
Looks awesome Nick 👍🇬🇧👍🇬🇧
Ok so listen, firstly nice job. Second I have a question for your friend who did the wiring - I’ve done literally the same thing albeit that for me I had to switch the position of pin 6 to be on pin 5 since my headlights expected a pin there. The rest with ground pins 4 and 2 is exactly the same. The car was throwing no errors at first but after 15 min the xenon bulbs starting flashing pulsing like they received very inconsistent power to them. Has this been a trouble with you, or any clues?
Desactivate the bulbs verification control with ncs expert coding
@@milkymods7226 Great now onto the next one. I've coded the VO to include 522 and since then the right AE went dark. Assuming it is something within the FRM?
@@yonata84 i don’t know for this bro so
@@yonata84 did you sort this if not let me know
@@yonata84 оправи ли проблема?
looking great bro!
What about leveling and the washers? This is illegal in Europe..
What about the headlight washer? Automatic headlight range control? It's hard to imagine that this is allowed in the USA... without automatic regulation, everyone is blinded... you also need a different footwell module, at least the third model with xenon, otherwise the whole thing has to be coded! In my opinion this is not feasible.
great video my man 💪
Top vid a s always 🔥
Totally inspired🙏🧏♂️
I just done this but my driver side works when ignition on but when started there no angel lights
Thank you for video helped me much👍😄
I did what u did on the video but my xenon lights are flickering and shutting off after like 10 seconds while the engine running but in the ignition on state they work. How do I fix that?
Hi, i have the same problem, only the angel eyes working for me, no low and high beam. Did you managed to sort it out ?
Same issue here man, did you figure it out?
Did anyone figure it out?
Same problem except sometimes they don't work at all.
need to add coding to VDO line in the frm
Great video. Thanks bro I appreciate saved me so much time 💯
Thanks man this video was very helpful
do you get no fault code after this retrofit?
The cornering light isn’t working. It suppose to be on.
👌perfect
I did the same thing on my e90 2011 and everything fits perfect and works except low beams, idk what to do
Great video. Converting my LCI to a xenon myself, do you have a link to those headlights?
Did you do that?
Not all true.. theres more involved than just adding the 1 ground wire if you want the high beam shudder daytimes, halos and 3 led parking lights to work correctly. also if you dont add to the vdo in the FRM the headlights will just flicker when the cars running. just went thru all this..
I had the same on my 328i X drive 2011 model. Only the angel lights and the turn signals work, apart from that there's No high or dim lights working. The used lights which i bought are heavily weighed on me as the guy who sold me the xenon headlights isn't willing to take it back. Im stuck and had to fit the old heavily scratched OEM Halogen lights.
How can i get help on this i dont know
Love it !! ❤️ where u get from the headlight’s?
Bought them used locally! They’re OEM headlights
Look way better but please tell me if you can get those 3 small led lights on the top corner working aswell
Wire Pin7 to Pin1 and should work as well
Please let me know how did you code your lights.
I have an LCI with xenon but they are a little bit different from these ones 🤔
Hello, the 3 LEDs in the corner, were you able to make them work?
Nice bro, I want to do same thing, but I have question first, why are those 3 yelow LED on top not working and are they erors on board?
I do have an adaptive malfunction light. I am not sure about the 3 yellow LED bulbs, that may need programming.
Maybe you have the older model from 2006-2009, after Nov.2009 until 2012 it has another headlights
The 3 LED markers needs additional wiring to the FRM. The issue with this retrofit is cornering light is not on. I have AHL malfunction but it’s can be coded out
@@jerrybmwm5
Hello,
Do you know where in the FRM and how?
Thank you
@@jerrybmwm5please can you show/explain how
Hi mate did you retrofit the level sensor as well , is the xenon works without the level sensor . Please help
Finally a video on this! I need to do this asap!
If you don't mind me asking how much did you spend on these?
@@jrfdc seconded. Wish he posted a link on where he got the xenon from
Did you change? How did you code?
@@hamediruni4935 I didn’t, but I have LEDs in now that are nice.

Reallly
hahahah thanks habibi 😏
Where’d you get the headlight!?!?!!!
Hi, i have the a problem, only the angel eyes working for me, no low and high beam. What do i have to do ?
You need to add $522 to the V/O on both the CAS and FRM/NFRM modules. Tutorials on bimmerpost. High beam function requires some more codes in the MAN files and another wire splice. I had the same issue

HI Mate is the new Headlight LCI or Pre-LCI
Where does the adaptive light connected to could you have a picture of that I have an adaptive light on my car but if not connected to the headlights and I have halogens I just don't know where they're at can you help me please
Ok, good video because I put Xenon headlamp casings in my 2005 bmw x3 e83 that had halogens stock(removed halogen casing and put in xenon ones just like you did) and the xenon bulbs would not work due to the voltage/computer, any advice? I think the dealer can get them to work but not looking to spend a thousand to get them working, I don't understand how you got yours to work . Uploader let me know.

@@aidanwinter1698 thanks, got a 2007 with real xenons!
Do I need to change the module??
Can I just use any brown ground wire instead? Like can I cut it out from a normal household wire???
Use the same wire so you don't have to worry about the connector at the end + different resistivty values.
are the light xenon colours 8000k or 6500k
I have a e87 are you sure all it takes is getting an extra earth wire and connecting it to the existing one already In the car for the xenons to work from halogen?
Please confirm so I can actually do this myself rather than paying someone to retrofit for me
I am not sure about the E87 chassis, but I would assume it will be very similar! Check the wires going to your headlight, see if that is all identical to the one in the video.
My english is not so good sorry for that but..normally with oem xenon you have a adjuster on the wishbone for height control! you dont use that ? how do you adjust the height ? so that your light dont shine in the sky if you know what i mean.
The adaptive option will not work with these, I mentioned in the video!
@@NickBuiltIt ah okey,I don't know what you mean with adaptive...butt now I know thanks
@@NickBuiltIt So it's a case of you can see great in the dark but the poor sod driving towards you gets dazzled by your headlights then?
@@NickBuiltIt
Hello,
Thank you for this video
Also I want to ask if after you starting your engine the xenon stop working amd if you projectors are going up or down from the left button where you cam set the position and also when you press the start button you see the up/down test of the headlights?
Thank you
@@NickBuiltItcan the headlamps low beam height still be adjusted from the control switch inside the car?
(Not the adaptive left/right motion. But the UP/DOWN motion with the adjustment switch inside the car. And when the car is turned on, do they self test)
I have e91 2004 swat to xenon from 2009 e90 but after swap when on headlights startt blinking and stop working... Do i need programing or something else do????
Coding, but I don’t know how
Taping a wire? His “new ground” is going to an existing car wire do you take the new wire and just split it in half like he does then wrap it up? Or is there a previous step I don’t see?
Link to headlights ?
do i need to get the non adaptive xenons?
I would like to ask for information. do the high beams also work like in the original headlight?
You need to add an additional wire and splice similar to the ground. Plus a little coding.
@@aidanwinter1698 add the ground cable as in the video okay, but do the high beams work in addition to the xenon?
@@aidanwinter1698 and what coding are you talking about?
@@alessiocaira6830 There’s a black wire that controls the high beams. You need to splice a wire with it and add it to a different spot on the wire harness. The coding has to be done with NCS Expert. You’ll need to add “$522” as a value to both the CAS and NFRM/FRM modules (some cars has FRM, others NFRM, same thing). If you search around on RUclips and E90 Bimmerpost there will be some tutorials.
Does anyone know if you have to get a ahl frm to go with the xenon headlights?
Yes i think you do for adaptive feature and on warnings
No, you just need to code your modules, thats the only difference.
Why does only the inner angel lights work i noticed on my car too
It's very common on the E90. My headlights have aftermarket angel eye bulbs that make the inner angel eye shine brighter than the outer one!
@@NickBuiltIt Thanks friend!
So I’ve tapped it the the wire he mentioned. Anyone has a flicker effect and how to fix that issue ??
I’m sure the flicker effect is due to the cold checks that bmws perform. Code them out and you should be good!
@@joeyDrivez yeah just reached out to my bmw code specialist just told me this is common from bmw owners who retrofit it and it just requires a code and it will be okay thanks for the advice
Is there a way to do this is reverse go from Xenon to Halogen??
Why would u want that bro
Plug and play
What about High beam?
Additional wire is needed plus some coding
Are you selling the original headlight?
@@eazyridertim1 how much? Can you ship them?

No coding my s..t😅
Will that LCI Xenon lamp really work on pre-lci car with halogens?
Yes it will, as long as you have the same wires going to your Headlight plug
@@NickBuiltIt Thanks mate, I was afraid that it won’t work on my FRM1 module.
@@forweb2842 I do NOT believe the Adaptive part of the light will work, which if in the UK / EU is a Legal requirement and the car will fail MOT if the Adaptive part doesn't work
@@derekclarke9558 By 'adaptive' do you mean turning to the left and right with the steering or moving up and down upon start up? My 2010 E90 has halogens and the lights aim up and down upon start up.
In UK any HID fitted lights are supposed to maintain a level beam to prevent dazzling oncoming road users. It's also an instant failure if you fit HID or LED bulbs to a car that didn't have them from the factory. According to the MOT regulations, that includes fitting an entire lamp unit, which in the case of my Defender which can have purpose built replacement 7" round LED lamps, is bloody annoying!
@@derekclarke9558 I'm not living in neither UK or EU and my car doesn't have adaptive headlight, so they won't cause me any problems. Anyway, I'm very busy and didn't do the mod yet.
Does the high beam work as it is?
Actually they do not. Found out about it a couple days later while driving at night. Still working on trying to get that worked out with my electrical mechanic, i’ll post an update if I can get it resolved
