I've watched this video so many times, the only thing more helpful in my opinion is to sign up for the OA Challenge with Chris Grant. Learning how to read and use Keepa is the most important thing to determine whether or not to purchase inventory.
Most all RA Keepa experts say to use the drops/month as a metric for sales volume. Are you saying to use product reviews/ratings as a gauge of monthly sales? What about using "Stock History" section under Data/Offers for determining sales per month?
Most "keepa experts" are not keepa experts but are instead just big youtubers who happen to talk about Amazon things. I'm not saying that those other gurus are idiots who don't really know what they are talking about... but I'm not NOT saying that either... Stock history is an even worse metric to use because it will change anytime an item goes into transit BETWEEN warehouses. Or if someone changes their allowable sellable inventory... or their own stock (if FBM). Basically most people who are doing RA don't really need to bother knowing the exact metric. You just need to know: Is it selling a lot, a medium, or a little. Then once you have your OWN data you can make restocking decisions based on that. Now with that said, Amazon has started to roll out the only actual accurate sales estimator directly on their product pages. This is going to be the most accurate estimation of anything out there as it's the only one that's actually using Amazons hard API data (They don't let 3rd parties look at total sales of an ASIN via their API)
Thank you, both of you! It is one of the best Keepa videos!!!
