Growing up, Tony was my hero as early as his usac days in the 90s. Most of my life, Tony has been involved in Nascar. The sport seems much different with him being gone more and more and nascars direction to be an entertainment business rather than a racing business.
Ten years ago my boss was a huge NASCAR fan. I asked him, "What are those stages for?" "Ahhhh dunno" was all he said and waved his hand. I just chuckled. I still don't know what those stages are for.
Even Jeff Gordon admitted, that Hendrick hasnt made a profit in years. So He signed the agreement because he was worried about the hundreds who depend on him for a check.

Tony has every right to move on if he feels being in nascar no longer makes sense for him whether it personally, publicly, or financially. The world has changed since Bill Sr started NASCAR. The entire sport has to evolve and what worked 20-30 years ago may not work today. The sport is in a position to where it would be very difficult for an upstart sanctioning body to be successful on a national level due to the majority of the tracks in the country being owned by 2 companies. I think this piece could be part of the argument that could be the downfall of NASCAR’s defense in the antitrust lawsuit.

Moving to Multiple channel$ making it difficult for fans to Locate the channels they'll be broadcasting on if using streaming services. Personally I missed too many of the races this year with all the channel changes. I support the Owners, Drivers and Fans, @TonyStewart good Driver and Owner and can only say NASCAR only cares about the Money, not the people that draw the crowds that make them their money. It is a shame whats happened to the sport, and like Tony says, where it is going. I can full well imagine whats going on a lot behind the scenes, but unless your actually in it, it is pretty hard to figure out all the details. Having dabbled here and there in a few forms of auto racing, i understand the driver part, how it is to jump in and race, that's in your blood really. Having worked at LVMS for a few years, you see things, you hear things from the older days of what people call the golden era, i was there, saw it first hand. I might add, racers are like family, not just NASCAR, any from we dealt with there at that track and that's pretty much everything. It didn't pay crap and it was a side gig for me, but it is the only job i ever loved going to, ever, and i have done many things including LEO, body guard work for a few celebs, to running surveillance and corporate security in a major casino. But to just be at the track around that element and the people was all worth it, i loved it. But now as just a fen, i am so disappointed with NASCAR. Drivers are not happy, teams are not happy, a lot of fans are not happy. It used to be pretty happy, not anymore. Too much drama, politics, and money not going to the right places. It's depressing. It's like watching a loved one die, slowly. If you have been around a while like i have, you see it, you can also feel it. And it makes me damn sad.

NASCAR, you never know who will win any given weekend. I love the big super speedway races. I’m not a short track fan at all but I still think NASCAR is the best product in the US.
