Hi just stumbled on your channel. I am a self taught sewer with help from RUclips tutorials. I make dress, skirts and blouse, but I would love to learn how to cut by exact measurements. I just stumbled across your video and I wasn't even looking for a sewing video. I bought a sewing machine about 3 years ago to learn to sew, but it looks so intimidating to thread it that I got discouraged and never went any further.I must re Kindle that interest again 😮

I have had my machine for some years now. I wanted it to make my own clothes as i am 6'2 and found it difficult to find clothes in the store. But now i have my machine, thread, some patterns however they still are not the length i need. So now i have to learn on how to i make sleeves and pants legs longer, and i suck with cutting out the fabric. Your video is helpful

As for me I started by sewing crunches with my hand and letter by a smaller sewing machine in Ghana I started sewing tote bags now I have a better sewing machine

I had three littles girls and wanted to have fun just making some simple shorts.....fast forward over thirty years later........i then discovered bag making , I spent the whole lock down mastering that .....now I actually have a few pieces in a store !!!! .......DONT EVERRRRR GIVE UP ON YOURSELF....IF YOU LOVE IT , KEEP GOING AND ONE DAY YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU HAVE SEWN....LITTERALLY !!!! LOLLOL.....NOW THAT IVE MASTERED THAT IM NOW HAVING FUN CREATING TINY DOLL CLOTHES FOR ADULT BARBIE COLLECTORS . IVE NEVER HAD SO MUCH FUN WORKING WITH THE TWO THINGS I LOVE THE MOST , SEWING AND MINIATURES.....I COMBINED THE TWO....NOW IM IN ABSOLUTE HEAVEN . IM EVEN MAKING MINITUTRE BAGS TO GO WITH THE OUTFITS . .....JUST SEW WHAT EVERRRRR AND HAVE FUN SEEING WHAT YOU CREATE ......#SEWCREATIVE

I get what you are saying but doing things the book way, nothing can beat that. There are terminology in sewing enables one to master their craft. I would recommend The Complete Guide to Sewing.
