i’ve had guys slow down an i think its worse , so i had rather a boat pass me wide open with a small wake than one @ half throttle with tha bow up an a wake 3 feet tall ! an for me in my 14’ john boat i know how bad a big azz wake can be. it is very sportsman like to slow to an idle an ease by but who does that nowadays ! its everybody for them selfs nobody seems to respect the other guy anymore ! hell a man caint even fish from tha shore without lookin over your shoulder these days 🙁 sorry for bitchin , i just miss tha good ole days when tha other guy would idle by an ask if your catchin anything ?
That happened to my son and I. We were in a canoe and almost tipped over, he was 8. These assholes need an education on water manners, would have loved to get my hands on the cowards who just run away.
It may have been rude but unless it was a no wake zone then you might need to find a different hobby. You don't own the lake and you're not entitled to anything.
They even fish off my dock and they'll get angry if I tell them it's private property. Some go by with big boats and their wake washes across my whole yard. I had to build a wall to prevent this. After 45 years of living on a lake, I've seen some very bad behavior.

Well the creek they are in the channel runs on the bank they are fishing. Regardless if the boat was running 10 ft from them or 100 the waves would be the same. I don’t understand why people get upset about it. I think it’s ridiculous. But the boater has to run that close to that bank to avoid the standing timber on the opposite side.
Wonder if the other boater even seen you guys, it’s possible he didn’t, with you guys being so close to the bank and in the shadows. Not making any excuses just trying to think out side the box….. how with that said I’ve had people run between me and the bank, and yes sir I’ve gotten pissed off but I fish public waters so I don’t let it ruin my day.
How's this one,I was drift fishing just like you .guy on the shore starts screaming and yelling at me!!!!! He said I was fishing in his SPOT WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE.So I spot locked the motor right in front of him.😂
in michigan we go fishing before wake time instead of looking for a fight because we don't own the whole lake. sick of boomers probably looking for a reason to pull your glock or something

Boaters have to learn some etiquette and responsibility on the water. Most are ok, but some are really obnoxious.
