The circuit diagram is incorrect...
I've tried every variation of it.. I even added capacitors to account for the back emf of IC 555..
THE only way it's possible is to make two separate circuits--transmitter and reciever.
You can do this by detaching Tx and Rx of the ultrasonic sensor
