I'm guessing they changed them to avoid any compressions with Pizzaface meaning they won't do the Pizzahead twist then which was already a given but I don't see why they would have to fully Coneball to get that through.
Wait were they replaced because Blaize Mayes created them? There was a Twitter post saying the Sugary Spire team was going to replace all of his stuff in the game after all.

when i ran out of time in lap 2 and didn't see coneball, and saw, l e c r e a t u r e (Violet), i was like
What is "le creature", I haven't played the demo myself and haven't found a video that shows what happens when time runs out for sugar rush.
Nevermind, I saw a livestream that showed what happens and honestly, I perfered coneball over Violet.
Violet is probably only a replacement for the demo.
