    Growing up in the countryside, we were taught methods to cook meat, especially those taken from elderly animals, to tenderness. The most common method is to pound the meat, marinate it then cook in in water along with the marinade. This is most common in our local version of bistek which is slightly deferent from its Tagalog counterpart. Much like the meat in the video, we love to smother our bistek in onions. This reminds of of our local bistek but with different and exciting herbs/spices and marinade. The stuffed mushroom would surely be a great addition to any main dish during celebrations.
