Before 1990 the UK was approx 97-98% white. Since Doctor Who was originally targeted at a male audience (the main audience for science fiction), then yes, originally Doctor Who was made for white men.

Today entertainment and story are taking a back seat to message... the story what there is of it is just there so people will tune in. The message is the whole point. And its not about convincing anyone of anything its about cheer leading that message while telling anyone who questions it or even questions why its there instead of the show they love are supposed to just go away. In the end its about toppling cultural statues. knocking down things that bring fans together while being divisive. Its destructive and its intentional.

I am a father of 3. My wife, children and I loved Dr Who, for many, many years. We had to turn our backs on everything when Jodie Whitaker and Chris Chibnall took the show down paths I was uninterested in travelling down with small children. We watched Dr. Who to escape from the realities and humdrum of daily life, not to be preached to about how horrible we are for not accepting the current politically prudent status quo.
One of my favorite childhood memories of my late grandfather was watching Dr Who with him in the 80's on PBS (in the US). It's painful to know that this type of cross generational content is disappearing before our very eyes.

I've watched this show since the late 70's and it's beyond heartbreaking what these horrible morally bankrupt Woke monsters have done to Doctor Who.
The alphabet mafia don't even like it. They're not into the genre. They're into reality tv. Attacking the core fans, not giving ppl what they want, is a losing business model. NOBODY wants this.
Good idea for programming. Progressive tv show about them making crap Star Wars, Dr Who, Marvel, etc shows or movies but they actually release good movies for us. They can show all the complaining and whiny stuff behind the scenes for the alphabet mafia and the alphabet investor class.

As a former fan, I was never opposed to a female Doctor, nor would I have a problem with a Doctor of a different race. It's all a matter of what they decided to do with the series from that point.
Unfortunately, what they decided to do was take the show, throw it in a dumpster, light that dumpster on fire, and then blame the fans for not liking the smell.
How does a female Doctor make any sense? Men and women think very differently.
@@JohnSmith-ns6dp During David Tennant's run as the Doctor, there was an episode where he alluded to another Time Lord he knew who regenerated into a woman at one point in their lives, opening up that possibility in the future. So a female Doctor didn't actually come out of nowhere. They just screwed up the execution of that idea. And then they kept screwing up.
I'm old enough to remember how regeneration was explained. It's a cell by cell replacement/renewal. Which to me means that body parts that weren't there can't appear and body parts that were there can't just disappear or turn inside out. Which is why I thought the 9th Doctor's comment about having two heads or no head was stupid.
So although I can accept a race change, a se× change eas too daft for me.

As an American who was introduced to Dr. Who when I was a Kid in the Late 80s by my Uncle, I saw this all coming. The show is a victim of it's own success in 2010. I've hand many of fandom tourists jumping in on the band wagon claiming they had been there since the beginning in 2005. Most people are late the party as usual, Dr. Who has been on a downward track for a long while. Most people blame The Thirteenth Doctor, but it was creeping in, at a somewhat acceptable level long before that. But, that is the problem once it starts to creep in the pandering to tourist fans is what destroys the franchise. The same destruction has happened with Marvel, Dc, D&D, Dr. Who, Lord of the Rings, Wheel of Time, and most recently Warhammer. Personally I see a pattern and believe it is 100% intentional.
I was formerly a Dr. Who fan... literally from 40 years ago. I said I'd only go back if they de-canonized EVERYTHING from Jodie Whittaker onward. I sticking to that!

The current leadership aims to be seen as the "good guys" and is so convinced of their moral stance that they dismiss valid criticism from fans, often labeling it as racism or bigotry. We're tired of being lectured and condescended to. It's evident that the show is being used primarily as a platform to force their opinions.
I've been a huge "Doctor Who" fan since the 70's. It's my favorite show. I watched every episode, except for some of the early ones that were lost and aired before I started watching. I watched all the modern era ones as well and still loved the show up until the last episode of Peter Capaldi. I tried finding a reason to keep watching the show since Capaldi but only got more and more disappointed as they appeared to be trying to intentionally destroy the show. I'm done. It just sucks now. I'll just rewatch the old ones. No more watching and being disappointed by this latest crap! If you're telling your fans to piss off, then you just don't get it.
Dr Who is produced by BBC studios who sell the franchise around the world. Who also advertise. It is not made using money from the BBC TAX, sorry licence fee.

You know, as a straight guy, and lover of sci-fi, who was intro'd to the good Dr. by the inimitable Tom Baker (and my Dad :) ), I enjoyed the spinoff, _Torchwood,_ when it was on. Never had an issue with Capt. Jack and Ianto, but then, they didn't shove it in my face and lecture me about it. They told a story and the rest was secondary.

I was a Doctor Who fan for years and I still am of the original series up to the 1980s, but I am ashamed to admit that now. What is worse is that we in the UK have to pay a Tv licence, of which around 90% goes to the BBC. I don’t watch anything on the BBC anymore, as it is all similar crap to this, yet we are forced to pay this licence fee, so the BBC can churn out more of this bs! It makes me very angry 😡🤬🤬 DEFUND THE BBC!!! Thanks for posting your video 👍

Disparu will get a lot of views off of this crazy sexualized children's show at least. I think id be embarrassed if I was one of the 2.4 million still watching at this point. Just rewatch the good seasons and ignore the modern day Pravda crap wearing the past as a ski suit.

I was unable to watch it when broadcast so recorded it to watch the day after. Before then I actually did my first mow of my lawn this year (wet weather had delayed me so there was LOT of grass to touch). I then watched the two recorded episodes. Space babies? An unnecessary musical finale? Mowing the lawn was more rewarding. Oh - and Black Sabbath did the tritone better on their debut album.
