Oh Aga, we miss you 😞
She deserved a slam, I think she was the closest to winning it in 2013 when she lost in SF to - guess who - Sabine Lisicki. Had she made it to the final, she probably would've won it, as Aga's H2H against Bartoli was AFAIK 5:0 at the time... And I guess Aga would've been more relaxed, having already been to the final the previous year. Also, it's a shame she never made it to an AO final, she liked this tournament a lot.
Anyway, Aga had a wonderful career and she was very consistent throughout nearly a decade! Hard to believe, seeing how volatile and unstable WTA has been recently. She won a few big titles (including WTA Finals, Miami and Beijing) and was a joy to watch. Now she's a mother and I think she's happier than ever before. Good for her ❤️❤️❤️

Those were HUGE opportunities and especially being up 3-0 in the third set on grass Aga’s best surface with Bartoli waiting in the finals. Those two losses must have disgusted her because she could have won one or two slams if she just found a way to fight more on those critical days. Against Lisicki Aga was exhausted in the end, but still, you have to find a way to elevate when you need to.

I disagree. Aga could step in and rip the ball very hard when she chose to. She picked her spots and worked the point but her volleys were best on tour and she used a great mix of offense and defense. She won 20 titles, had even head to heads with Halep, Muguruza and Kerber and she played best on quick hard courts and grass where she packed more punch. She didn’t just push and loop the ball, she hit flat, early and penetrating shots very much like Hingis.
