Final Fantasy X Bevelle Temple Cloister of Trials

- Well, time for some more fun with the Cloister of Trials, this time it's in the Bevelle Temple. This is a pretty annoying Cloister, probably the most annoying. Basically you're on a moving platform of sorts and you make brief stops to pick up the needed Sphere's. Unlike the other Cloisters, you actually need the Destruction Sphere to move forward to the Chamber of the Fayth. And even though you use the Destruction Sphere, you may still miss the treasure on the last screen, but when following this video, you'll see the solution. I'll let the video instruct the rest.

I have no idea how I finished this temple years ago without a walk through. Me and my wife are playing this now and we've been stuck for an hour, hopefully this makes it easier!

@@kurvas12peligrosas lol I let it auto play until I somehow won or lost. First time through fucking 6 overtime rounds. Literally the worst thing ever.
Thank God there are no random encounters inside the temples. Can you imagine doing all this while constantly having your thinking interrupted by battles?
yeah but it would be easy anyway, you could just use Tidus flee ability, but its helluva annoying when u are following the roads and those encounters are spamming like batshit crazy every other step you take :P
That's one thing that I hate in the game. Final Fantasy 10 has a linear story, no open world (I still havent finished it, so maybe there is open world?) and it's too hard to train, specially because there are no levels. They could have made everything simple like they did in ps1 series, but no, they had to "innovate". Anyway, the 10 is the only good one for ps2, 10-2 is a crap, 11 is online (Doesnt count) and 12 has great music, but is only a little good... it could be even better. That's my point of view.
Inu Yasha actualy, later in the game u can be able to teleport to any save station in the game,even the isle u can deserted on and meet wakka, and u will even find a Place where u can chose waht enemies to fight so u can level up all spheres on all chars, the only thing i Think sux was the thing i mentioned, they encounter every other step u take while following roads.

With a long hard struggle. Completed this game many times over the years and still had to come back to use a guidance video. It took me over an hour to do this trial when I first played the game.

I just remember not liking these temples at all throughout the whole game
this one was atrocious!
First one was the only cool one for me honestly as the concept seemed different, but pretty simple. After that, que increasing complexity and their tedious and often arbitrary nature ended up forcing me to look up guides. Probably the only mark I have against this game are the temples.

Omg, I failed because Tidus wouldn't push it and slided past it a million times, so I'm going to have to start over when I feel like it, I think this is the worst place in all of FF10 so far. And just after one of the most epic cinimatics :)

I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, this is my favorite game of all time and all, but fuck this cloister of trials. It's literally the worst part of this game. I can deal with the other ones, but this one has a special hatred in my heart. And yes, I'm about to do it again since I'm replaying the game... so...damn.
I finished this game twice on the ps2. My wife is playing it now and I was helping her but this temple...wow, it's TERRIBLE!!!

I remember me and my brother got so fed up with this cloister we began to make up lyrics and sang along. I sang with that main instrument going like "This is-so-stu-pid what the fuck... slow ass e-le-va-tors drive me nuts, god damn", while my brother did the piano just singing "fuck this temple fuck this temple fuck this temple"

This is hysterical. I had to turn the music off in quite a few parts of this game, and this was one of them.
Looking back, I'm sure it's possibly a nice childhood memory
I remember always having an issue of wanting to turn the platform at certain points and I could never get it done. It would take me like 10 tries. Man did it piss me off.

How in the world did you know how to solve it man... I couldn't even get the platform to go in the direction I wanted properly and had to keep re-trying. ARGHHHHH. Whoever created this needs to be shot in the heart.

I played this on the switch and here are some more tips. You can hold a sphere, you don’t have to put it on the pedestal to travel. So you can cut this down even more because you can travel with 3.

First time i beat this game (years ago, when the game came out), youtube wasn't around. Now, after all those years, i'm giving the international version a go. As soon as i set foot in this temple, i thought "... oh brother..." as i remembered what a DRAG it was doing this by myself the first time ( i mean, i enjoyed it, but wasn't up to doing it again). So, here i am. Thanking you. A lot. Really.

Thank you for this. I am not sure that I've ever been so frustrated over game design before. Took me a couple of dozen tries to figure out how to accurately change direction at intersections. Uggh.

From an aesthetics perspective, this place is awesome. From a gameplay perspective, it's absolutely atrocious. Who decided it would be a good idea to force to player to navigate by flying platforms!? Furthermore, who decided it would be a good idea to not let the player steer said platform with the analog sticks? Thanks for the walkthrough, I really appreciate it! Good video!
3:35 So THAT's where I messed up. I never thought that was able to be walked over; I always tried to push the pillar there, then tried mixing and matching sphere locations to try to get it to work when it failed. This video was real helpful, thanks!

I played the original in middle school and I have nooooo idea how I was able to figure it out back then! Probably took HOURS O_O thank for this guide. It's helping with the HD version haha. I just don't have the patience to figure this one out like I did for the other cloisters...

I am 100 percent positive that this trail is responsible for at least 25% players quitting the game and never continue. I really wanted to play ffx again... But i just can't do it. Thanks for the guide though... I am sure it helped the other 75 percent over the years 👍🏻

I'm playing the ffx remake and I got pissed at this trials so I decided to look up a help video when I see a name I recognize in the top videos. You are a hero and a scholar for this. I was even reading a guide and couldn't figure this stupid trial out. I absolutely hated this part of the game, but you helped me through it quickly and easily. That said, do you want to know how dumb I am? I couldn't figure out that you had to wait 'til the arrow was pointing the direction you wanted to go. I couldn't figure out why I never went the direction I wanted! Hah!

Nice! Good thing you need to take the destruction treasure here, as you can never return to Bevelle. It can be quite confusing at first, but in the end this wasn't such a hard cloister of trails, imo.

Cheers for this I remember you were forced to use the destruction sphere to get through but I also remember the frustration of hitting the arrows to correctly go where you need as you made the same mistake I did and did a detour HD version looks a bit better over PS2 version now lol. Loved the PS2 era for game like these shame PS3 and 4 don't have as many RPGs

Could barely make the platform move in the direction I wanted, why didn't they just have you move the D-Pad or sticks in the right direction
Thanks for the walkthrou, Wouldnt need it if it wasnt for the fact that controlling the direction of those platforms IS harder than doing jechts shot on the first try. :-)
