Jari is a living example why you should never listen to your haters,even if it took him years he finally reached the vision for this massive 80 minute masterpiecewhich was his point in the first place but some people misunderstood what was happening through all the years, that`s what`s been happening, the man single-handedly became one of the best composers and producers in the world,just listen to the sound quality of the time 1 album from 2012 and see how much he`s grown.Simply the time project came too early and surprised him with its technological demands ,that`s how i look at it ,and since then he`s been mastering his skills to be able to "tame" it properly, we`re talking thounsands of tracks.

Man...seeing as we are getting the Time album in full now as it was always intended to be, it feels like the album is really coming out now for real. Even though I've heard Time I hundreds of times (and I love both previous versions) I feel like I'll bawl my eyes out when I hear this new "final" version as it'll feel like the album has come out as new again. As for Time II, I need to make sure I have the day off otherwise I don't think I'll be able to hear it right away or I'll get too emotional...

@@euphoreonz true, I guess I'm just stubborn on this issue :D. I even plan to burn a cd where Time I & II become one and print the original Time album cover art to the case. Obviously I need to do some edits to make them fit on one cd. It'll be painful, but I think I have to leave out Fields of Snow although it's incredible.

Last week I was in Stockholm for a business trip. At a dinner, colleagues from Sweden an Finland were surprised (even offended) how I am into metal music and never heard about Wintersun. Needles to say, for last 7 days I am listening Wintersun on repeat.

You’re a master and many newer Finnish metal bands that are played on Radio Rock and selling out summer gigs stand on the shoulders of the giant work and influence you’ve poured into the scene.

Let us appreciate how insane the start of the song "Time" sounds.
1:43 this right here showcases just what good mixing can do. The drums are actually distinguishable alongside the other instruments, and don't meld together into this wall of drum "white noise". so glad to have participated in both preorders for music like this.
And it all sounds so meaty while still being beautiful as ever.
This mix makes the music sound like 3D. In comparison the original and even the 1.5 -versions sound rather flat. Different elements don't overwhelm each other. It's fantastic!
In basic, you will get 3 full length albums (TIme 1, Time 2 and The Forest Seasons) and over 50 extra tracks and much much more! Jari is insane giving so much conent for that price! What a time to be alive! I salute you. So much musical content to listening to while sitting in sauna! To bad not next to the master himself lol.

Jari is living example that if your purpose and passion is big enough, you can reach anything, no matter how difficult and how many obstacles there are.
I just went back to old interview/promo videos from Time 1 era and you can kind of tell Jari isn't super happy with how the album turned out. When asked what we can expect from Time 2 he immediately says "better and clearer production". So comparing with this video Jari is almost glowing with how happy he is with the new mix. So cool to see!
Hi Jari. Yesterday in Ontario Canada I timed the play of darkness and frost & time 1.5 to the second of the Total Solar Eclipse, April 8 2024. Totality occurred “exactly” when the TIME track began! It was fucking amazing!!! It was so surreal listening to time while watching a total solar eclipse for 2 and a half minutes with the naked eye!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!!!

Back in my young years Kai got me into drumming. I hope Kai will always be there to record the drum parts with you, Jari. Both of you are my heros, your music means everything to me.
Funny story: I once showed sons of winter and stars to a friend of mine who has got some psychic struggles, strong depression through childhood traumata, adhs and is hyper emotional. He doesn't listen to metal ever and obviously the blast beat after the sweet opener got him totally by surprise. But we sat there together, he demanded for me to turn up the volume. We just sat there and I watched him. Never ever have I seen him in this sort of concentrated state. Suddenly seemed hyper focused. He felt a little anxious during the first movement but the guitar work dragged him deeper and deeper and he got used to the vocals quickly. despite never hearing these singing techniques before he was able to understand the lyrics quite well and got dragged deeper and deeper, especially emotionally. He went from crying to laughter, from excited to energetic. After the song was done we both just laughed, we broly hugged and he asked: do they have more of this stuff? And yeah some hours went by fueled by wintersun and it was a good day.
Even If you struggle, there is always that one string that if it gets ringed you will get back into phase! That's what I believe at least.

The original sounds too unique, so remaking it with modern sound will destroy the charm this harsh abrasive sound has.
The reason I listen to metal music today is because my sister bought me the original Time 1, and I've never found an album I love more. Time 1 literally changed the way I listened to music. I cannot express how excited I am for this Time Package!

This sounds amazing. I've listened to the live rehearsal versions of Time I for years because how much better it sounds compared to the original studio album, but this sounds even better than that. I expected this to be the surprise, but not for it to sound this much better than the original. Great job. One of the all-time greatest albums got even better.

i didnt buy music since many many years and tbh, i was sure i would never again buy a single piece of music at all... alwys used spotify or similar for my pleasure. after a while of thinking i decided to support wintersun by backing the Time 2 Package via the link provided.
wintersun basically is the band that turned me from a technohead to a metalhead, which happend loooong ago with the help of "beyond the dark sun" and pandora. i found other bands over time, but wintersun always had a special place in my heart, and i always came back to the very first album, i am sure i listened to sadness and hate like 100000 times already.
this was my way to give something back to you guys. i hope to see more stuff from you in the future, there are only few genius musicians on this planet, so those that are, have to deliver more and more constantly, please, jari. 😀

Back in 2017 I went to the meet and greet with you guys (Brutal assault festival) and I remember being so nervous to meet you. Once my turn came to shake your hand you said "hello" and my mind went blank, i just remember saying "thank you for existing" and storming off from the table as soon as possible. Usually I almost never comment on RUclips but I just had to get this one of the heart.
It must have been around 2017-2018 when I met Teemu for very short in real life. Back then I was working at Zurich Airport at the security control. I remember it like it was yesterday, suddenly he stood in front of me. One of a thousand faces I saw during the shift that day but of course I immediately recognized him. We had a quick chat and I told him how much of a fan of their music I am. However, I really had to keep my cool not to geek to much not to get in any trouble. To be honest I wish I could have enjoyed the moment more. But still to this day it is the best memory of the job and I'll keep it precious forever.
I'm just so glad to be able to hear the new album soon, which I of course preordered. Thank you guys for all your hard work and I really hope I'll get to see Teemu (and the rest) in Zurich (on a Stage) once again.

I was expecting it, but I'm no less looking forward to it! Always thought there were some parts of the original (and the 1.5 remaster as well) where there were details that you could barely hear even with good equipment, so I'm really happy that you went back and redid the mix on Time I as well, as the album deserves it.
