Nice video bro! Awesome to see you thought about your dad and to share the bounty! We were at Rosie yesterday and laid into some along with some largemouths including one over 5 pounds. I was told sometimes the big toads will hang around the yellow’s for a quick nutritious meal, seems so in my case. 👍
Thought I commented earlier but guess not. You sound so much like your dad lol too funny. Also I just started working at sportsmans on greenfield in the fishing department, you'll have to come in sometime so I can hook you up and pick your brain to!
I was there Wednesday and we did ok with largemouths. I caught a 7.11 and a 5lber in back of the marina. Caught 4 on a chatter bait early morning at the snags.
I just subscribed! The wife and used to fish Saguaro every Monday about twenty years ago with the Monday Morning Breakfast Club. I won’t bore you with the details, but it was just a bunch of friends having fun with a semi tournament flair to it. Anyway, I’m just getting back in to fishing and I have the same boat as you! I need som advice on what graph to put on the bow. The stock graph is pretty much just good for depth. Looking forward to more videos and tips and hope to see you out there sometime.
I seem to recall catching huge stripped bass there at Saguaro as a kid (4-5 pounds). Maybe the fish we were catching were a different type of stripped bass than those you're catching. Also; back in the day it was safe to eat the fish we caught. They weren't as laden with mercury as they are now. Do you know if the fish caught out of Saguaro are safe to eat? The AZ game and fish department puts out a "Fish Consumption Advisory" on their website that list the fishing waters that hold the highest amounts of mercury and which fish NOT to eat. I don't recall Saguaro Lake being on that list. Now days the only fish I catch and eat are the farm raised trout that are stocked in the Salt River.
They are fine to eat in every lake just don’t go crazy, I don’t know they might be white bass but I know there are not stripers in saguaro. I don’t think there’s white bass either but a few people have been telling me lately that they’re catching fish that looks similar to yellow bass but bigger. So that’s my initial thought not sure tho
according to AZ DOW all the fish are good to each in saguaro lake...its why i chose that lake to fish thee most since i have been down here. My wife likes fish, having no restrictions to eat on any of the fish there it great fishing
@@gimli-qy8zd That's good to know. This means that the fish in the lower salt river, which come out of saguaro lake, are also safe to eat. It's an 80 mile round trip for me to go there and fish. I hate making that trip if I can't eat what I catch.

@@MrTjmk i drive in from Tucson... a very long drive but worth the lake time for sure
The yellows are great eating! I never knew there were rainbows in there. Would think the water is too warm for them.
They stock them during the winter, and they’ll stay in the deep zones all through summer
Keep up the great content! Im gonna fish the canals some time. Any chance you could do another canal fishing video? I really enjoy them. Eaither way
I’ll definitely make another Canal video! Thank you!
