    Thanks for sharing as it was nice to see them side by side and get an idea of how they actually wear.
    I think B2000 looks the best in terms of finishing and balance. Thanks again!

      I agree. Personally I think the module in the 2000 is better than the one in the 3000. The hands move faster and the minute hand moves every 5 seconds. I believe the movement has a lot in common with the one used on the Analogue Frogman.

    • @slowbluesmaster
      @slowbluesmaster 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@ianmaw66 I agree, AFAIK, to make the 3000 smaller (thinner) they've used a (modified) Oceanus Manta module and rearranged the (number of) stepper motors. This results in a much slower operational speed (slow main hands movement when switching time zones). My favourite is the 2000, but I hate it that I need the Casio Watches app to check the battery charge level.

    Thank you for sharing your thoughts of comparison this generations of the mtg models!
    I think the best readable is the B2000 - the only one I can read the day of the week without looking twice. (Sorry for my bad english, I am german speaking)

    Brother if you still have your MTG-B3000, can you check if yours is making some kind of sound coming from the clasp whenever you move your hand round? It's been driving me insane. I tried figuring out what exactly is causing the sound but I don't see anything moving.

    • @BMGWatches
      @BMGWatches  6 месяцев назад +1

      I don't have any sound coming from the bracelet on the B3000, but I think I know what you're talking about. My B2000 has a little sound that comes from the bracelet when I move my hand - almost like a tiny squeak as the links move about. I think it's because the B2000 bracelet is a little more loose on my wrist - it just has to do with my wrist size and the size of the links. My B3000 bracelet happens to be the perfect size for my wrist so there is minimal movement in the bracelet when I move my hand, and therefore no noise. It is annoying but I think it's one of the tradeoffs for a metal bracelet

    THe mtgb3000 doesn't let you adjust the hometime hands individually(hour and then minute) like all the other ones i duno if thats a downgrade or less redundant.

      The battery will certainly need to be replaced and maybe by that time there will be no replacement for that “old” model. I think

    • @BMGWatches
      @BMGWatches  6 месяцев назад +1

      Casio says that it will last at least 10 years - I think it'll easily last 20. I think people are too worried about not being able to buy the rechargeable battery when it eventually dies. Casio uses the same solar modules and batteries across many models, so I think in 20 years you will absolutely be able to get the battery changed when it dies. Also Casio will be around at least for the rest of my life.

    • @BMGWatches
      @BMGWatches  6 месяцев назад +4

      Yes I have to agree that the B2000 dial is aesthetically the best. The size of the B3000 makes it look overall better on the wrist though. If they could make the B2000 thin like the B3000 and just a tiny bit smaller all around, it would be perfect for me.

    Thank You! Great comparison review video! If you don’t mind I would like to ask you about the Casio MTG-B3000D-1A9JF which sells for 799 on Amazon but on the Casio America site and other Jewelry stores sells for 1050, where do you buy yours and do you believe the Amazon one is authentic? Thanks in advance! Subscribed!

      Good question - I haven't yet seen someone go to the trouble to clone any of the MTG line. I think it's because the metal parts and lower sales volume (compared to traditional G-Shocks) make it not worth it to fake. It's way easier and cheaper to clone an all plastic/resin G-Shock. I would be totally confident buying an MTG from a reputable marketplace like Amazon or eBay. Also G-shocks are sold for decent discounts all the time, so just because it's listed below retail doesn't mean anything is wrong with it. I've only paid full retail for like 1 out of the 20 I own. I have purchased a few from Japanese marketplaces directly from Japan - like Yahoo and Mercari. When I do that I use buyee.jp or Neokyo. There are some authorized dealers that have discounted prices like Sakura Watches from Japan.

    Does your b3000 screw down crown have some play when its screwed down tight? Mine does. It's not a wobble, but I can spin it about 1mm back and forth when its fully seated...

    • @MalteFS
      @MalteFS 11 месяцев назад +1

      It's a feature they say at Casio, to prevent damage when hitting something with the crown.

    • @nightstalker824
      @nightstalker824 11 месяцев назад

      You can't knock the crown on these...the crown guards, well they guard the crown..

    • @Judas_Phart
      @Judas_Phart 9 месяцев назад

      There is no play at all on any of my MTG’s.

    • @Judas_Phart
      @Judas_Phart 8 месяцев назад

      I forgot to put that I have an MTG-B2000 and two MTG-B3000 watches and none of them have any play in the crown.

    • @BMGWatches
      @BMGWatches  6 месяцев назад

      I've never noticed it, but I just checked my B3000s (I have 2) and yes they both have that tiny amount of play. I would absolutely agree with @MalteFS that it is an intentional feature since both have it and it doesn't seem to affect how 'tight' the crown is. I would disagree that you 'cant knock the crown'. Yes there are crown guards but the crown is big enough that you can easily knock it within normal use.
