It’s one of our favorite trail system. If it weren’t for the fact that we live better than an hour away, we’d be there every other weekend.

So far I’d have to say that Browns Ranch / Granite Mountain is my favorite. However, I’ve only ridden Hawes a couple times and it’s quite a bit like Granite Mountain. Hawes is a close second for me, but I’m thinking it could become number one with a few more rides.

Big sister is actually the trail that said downhill only. You guys carried on past big sister

Hey, hope your collar is ok. You guys totally missed Big Sister. You have to ride Twisted Sister to get to Big Sister. Most of what you guys rode was Wild Horse. Reach out and take a guide. You guys missed most of the really fun stuff.

According to the signs, we were on Big Sister for a little ways. I was a little discombobulated after my crash, so I wasn’t paying as much attention to our direction as I usually do. I also forgot to turn on my tracking app that ride.
We did go back later and ride Wild Horse, with an accidental jaunt on Stinger. After getting back on track on Wild Horse, we did the return on High Noon which was fun.
We’ll have that video coming out in a little while. Can’t wait to get back there and get my bearings a little better.

And the shoulder is doing okay. The doc said I had a grade 2 separation. No surgery needed, but I’m still healing and really paranoid about taking another landing on it. Thank you for asking.

Based off the end map trail report you missed it. Based off the video I didn't see any part of it. Do you have trail forks?

@@Boots2Bike yeah, the end map was plotted via Gaia. It sucks and nothing is marked accurately for trail names. I basically had to guess after the fact, because I forgot to turn on my gps tracking. I was pretty rattled after my crash, so please pardon the inaccuracy of my recollections in plotting out the route on Gaia.
According to the signs we saw, on our second ride, I was able to determine we were on Big Sister for just a little ways and then diverted back onto Wild Horse. Trailforks shows we started on Bush Lite, then Bush Highway access, (labeled Wild Horse according to the marker at the intersection), and then diverted left onto Big Sister at the second intersection, then back onto Wild Horse at the third. From what I understood, Twisted S ister is a one way down hill, or at least that’s what the sign at the intersection indicated. Otherwise, we would’ve headed up that way. We did go back and do Wild Horse up and High Noon back. We though about doing Twisted Sister, but my shoulder was still pretty sore and we didn’t think it would be a good idea. High Noon was pretty fun though.
We videoed that ride as well, so stay tuned for the “Hawes Redux” video. Can’t wait to get back out there and do some more exploring.

Def did not hit big sister. That was all wild horse. Good trail, but it pretty much just how people get to the better trails (big sister, alp, scorpion, rush, etc)
