- First chase was a fox that loved running the open. The second chase - pfft- he preferred to stay in the branch or run the open on the opposite side than where I was. Moot point, since I left the camera on "record" and used up all the memory and the battery - so this is all from fox # 1.
Love your videos! We have a slew of hounds ourselves up here in northeast Pennsylvania! Nothing better then jumping a big red on a nice cold morning! Would love to meet you guys, not many people do what we do anymore! My dad and grandfather love your vids!
thanks for watching, Donald! what type of hounds are you running?
Same breed you guys have, mixed hounds, a few walkers. My grandfathers been hunting fox over 60 years. My dads been at it 43 years. And I've been doing it since I was able to keep up with my dad in the woods haha. Where abouts are you guys located?
we are on the Delmarva peninsula, hunting the eastern shore of MD - mostly caroline County- and the southern part of Delaware. Flat as a pancake as you can see.
these are PennMarydel foxhounds, btw.
Yeah we hunt the mountains haha. And yeah ours are mixed with Pennmarydel to.
Thanks for watching , Donald ! I'm getting a late start this season due to all my bitches in heat and my mom being hospitalized - but I'll be out there soon !! (It's very dry here and warm here , so it's not killing me... Too much ! Where in NE PA are you ? I'm from Bucks County originally. What type hound do you hunt ?
We are from up near the pocono raceway! So if you've run hounds long you might know some of the old fox hunters up here! I've got a 2 year old treeing walker that's really starting to get good. And my dad has a 2 year old trig that's really coming along nice to!
Ive had my own hounds for 10 years, but have foxhunted for 40 years. If I wouldn't know , the guys I hunt with probably know the older guys!
Yup you'd get along great with my dad and grandfather. Those blue tick hounds you have, the one you call raven and the other one, did you raise them because I had one just like them and he was a good dog! Slow but really good.
Raven, a blue, is brother to my Reilly, a tri. and another blue, rebel. they are 4 yo this year.
they are ourt of a great old bitch named Reno- a blue, by another great dog named Roscoe- both deceased. Look for a couple older videos with Reno in the name of the video - great footage of her recovering the line on paved and dirt roads. Im, on a horse on one, and on foot in the other. worth finding- go back a couple years!
Crackn bit of hunting
