Thank you for covering the SR5 in detail. Most tubers only focus on the higher end trims. Seriously considering trading our 19’ Highlander Limited on this exact model in red.
The interior space and cargo capacity is so much more spacious in a Sienna, I would look into it if you don’t have major towing needs. Your family will thank you.
I actually like the cloth seats better than the SofTex vinyl seats. The cloth breathes better, not as cold in winter and not as hot in summer. God bless.
Thank you for this. This thing looks great! I'm not interested in capestones or lowered versions of the Sequoia but it's nice to see the SR5 interior. I'm looking forward to seeing people's real world mpg numbers after driving these for more than 5,000 miles. I'm curious to see if towing 7k or 8k Lbs will cause those mpg numbers to plummet. It does look like it would be great for cross country trips.
Well reviewed!!! Do you know if the frame on the Sequoia is the same as the LX600/LC 300 series or just shared general architecture? How much does this very trim retail for? Keep up the vids.
Good content, good review! I’m real curious what rack is up there? The rack on my 4SR5 won’t take my Thule Evolution cargo box very well. My other SUV didn’t have the antenna. There are two solutions, either a whole roof rack or slightly higher like this one is. Go I, Prinsu, and Frontrunner are the usual suspects. I only use it a couple times a year, but my intent is more travel. Bikes are on the hitch, fyi.
Given that the TRD PRO will probably be next to impossible to find, I'd be happy with the SR5 with the upgraded infotainment screen. I hope there is a way to mod the grill with the TRD PRO grill though.
That dirty headliner around the sunroof is one of the main reasons I don't understand why the TRD Pro Sequoia & Tundra don't get the darker headliner treatment. Interested to see what the final release on the TRD roof rack turns out to be, looks like the added a foil to cut wind noise
Good review- thanks! For me… the interior looks pretty cheap and basic for a $50,000 + vehicle. IMO, the days of cloth interiors at this price point, should be obsolete. At least it comes with the passenger side mirror.
When is the car gonna be available on Toyota website? Don’t care about the 3rd row seat I plan on pulling them out to put a truck vault system in the TRD pro version.

I have a 23' 6600# trailer and when they announced that this Sequoia can tow 9600 lb that got my attention. If the mpg holds up to speculation which is around 23 MPG I'll buy it.
3rd Row seat removal option would make this much more an option for those needing a flat larger opening. Please give feedback on what people want to their engineers.
This the only sr5 that made it look cool to be one. For the price I'll take this one over the more expensive trd's since gas prices are only getting higher.👍✌️
Do the little dividers increase the payload of that shelf when it is at that lower level (and dividers are semi-evenly spaced apart)? Do they touch the shelf at all? Use case - You are loading up your giant Yeti cooler full of ice and food/drinks.. you have wood and other gear back there as well... or maybe a large dog. If those dividers helped take on some of the weight at the low-level setting, that would make it much more solid when its a trunk full of dogs or gear, with no flexing on the shelf, etc etc... any clue Jon?
With gas prices at over $6, I hope people do not rush to buy this gas guzzler which costs over $150 to fill it up! Do not let dealerships price gouge people on this gas guzzler!
@@TRDJon OK, according to your definition the windshield wipers are automatic. Push a button and they operate automatically. Same for the headlights, turn signals, radio- they're ALL automatic. LOL.
The back end is a little boring looking. It's too flat. I was hoping they would go for a bulkier Land Cruiser type back end. That would look so much better in my opinion. But otherwise, it's an awesome vehicle , as usual , from Toyota.

Looks like major scuff marks that happen very easily. I know this vehicle was probably tested and users are putting each feature to full use, but this is how your Sequoia will look in no time, all of the plastic scratched and scuffed.
